Those late night talks with the kiddos is such a joy. I have had more with Prometheus than my older two put together. But my older son (whom he says is my favorite) called me the other day to let me know his house is completed, (they had a new home built) and he and his wife are moving this weekend. They have until the end of the month on their rental, so there isn't a rush. I'm very excited for them. The outside of their home is gorgeous. He showed me a picture when we all went to lunch. (but his wife couldn't see it. She hasn't seen it yet. It's going to be a big reveal. Even though she helped choose materials and whatnot) LOL That picture of you and your grandfather is a treasure! I wish I had one of me and my popeye. At least I have my memories. OH! My goodness you have quilt blocks. I'd square them up as best as possible, to whichever size is that individual block and find what the common size is. Then "frame" them with a neutral fabric to make them all equal. So one block might need a two inch frame, another might be wonky and need a 3 1/8" border to make them equal. Did you have almost 20? Are the blocks about 10inches? Or can they be made ten inches? You'd need about 20 blocks to make a lap quilt. If you don't have enough blocks for a layout you like you can use another fabric for just blank blocks/squares. My very first sleeping bag for slumber parties was in Holly Hobby print. =) Yes! Geese were very popular in the 1980's. I remember having a goose cookie jar. LOL sorry for such a long comment. 🤗
@@BookZealots hey! How exciting for your son - bet it’ll be wonderful. Those chats with our adult boys is golden, for sure. Good idea on the quilt idea - they’re probably 6-8 inches squqre so I’ll tinker - thanks!!
Holly Hobby! That’s a blast from the past! 😍
When I was a child, I had a Holly Hobby doll and bedroom furnishings. What happy memories!
Oh, I loved Holly Hobby! That must’ve been fabulous!!
