The first thing that told me something was fishy about her husband is when he received a call from Collettes work saying she hadnt come to work. Why did he phone the police at that early stage. You would sit back & thin where could she have gone to. Probably you would have phoned her mom to see if she was at home or phoned up friends of hers. Then you would wait to see if she came home from wherever it was that she went to. & then if she didnt come home later that night you might phone the police or maybe the following day.
The following day??? Glad I'm not closely or even remotely related to you. If my son wouldn't come home or call me to let me know he wouldn't come home I would be calling the cops after I called everyone.
Well i grew up in the days when there were no mobile phones. & there are thousands of kids / young adults who dont phone home to tell mom & dad they wont be home. Very few cases of someone not coming home on time leads to a crime. So if everyone phoned the police for every person not calling home & not being home on time then the cops wouldnt have time to catch criminals, which is their prime reason for being there. @@Ainaes-Feline

@@Ainaes-FelineThis story is one of vile rage - enraged family annihilator taking out his whole family in one fell swoop. Probably 'snapped'. Very odd.
I wish cops would stop bleating on about how people who ask for a lawyer are straightaway seen as suspicious, too many innocent people re currently in jail because they tried to co-operate with the police. It's just a mindgame to make people too frightened to be seen a guilty...guess what you don't owe them anything nor are they going to be in your circle of friends fter the interviews..they re literally of no import to the rest of your life...UNLESS you do co-operate then you will see them quite a lot..until you're incarcerated for something you didn't do. So no DON'T. They are not your friend they are sly, underhanded and manipulative. And when you do need them they are nowhere to be seen.
She didn't say he'd lawyered up. She said he answered 'no comment' to all questions. That's a different thing. And the UK police caution makes it clear that not mentioning relevant facts at interview which you refer to in court can be viewed as suspicious.
@@michaelevans205watch again they actually did clearly say he was advised by his solicitor to answer no comment to all questions. So yes he had a lawyer.
Ok, to the police. You can no use someone silence as guilt. They might be the murder or not, but the normal person doesn't get interrogated often. So they don't want the police to twist their words during an emotional time. Duh
The lady detective is so right imagine being accused of such a horrific crime and being totally innocent I'd certainly being going of my head, what an evil evil man
You don't get reductions in a life sentence for murder. He will have to serve the whole sentence and even then may not be released if there are any concerns. Someone given a life sentence can be returned to prison at any time.
Derbyshire 2009- Collette Daffin wife of Christopher, was run down by a car and killed. When police informed Christopher of the death of his wife Collette, noted his behaviour was unemotional and unusual.
We will never know what was said during that phonecall. They were able to prove it was him that rung her and whatever was said, she had little time to process it before she was attacked.
Britain had the highest incarceration rate in Europe already. It's the US that it's an aberration. I don't think you can get parole for this type of crime though so his life will be nearly over and largely unknowable in his 70's.
Here in the US, because it was premeditated, that would make it 1st degree. He would be behind bars ALOT longer than 25 years. That's one thing I am uncomfortable with in the UK justice system. Plead guilty and for saving us time in the court, we'll give you a lighter sentence. I have a better idea. "When the victim once again walks among us, so shall you."
They said it happened in 2009 and the brother said it affected him "even now in 2010." So it's about 13 years old at most. You really should pay more attention. Hahahahahaha.
@mdcs1992 if it happened in 2009, that will make it 14 years & 15 this year. My son was born 2009 & his 14. My youngest was born 2010 & he is 13, 14 next month!
@@xsami86xso the only way you can calculate years is via the age of your sons? 😂😂 most would just say if it was 2009 it’s been 15 years- we don’t need to know your sons’ ages 😂😂
Maybe anyone with evil thoughts of what their going to do to partners etc should have a look at these detectives forensic teams etc and if goodness doesn't change your mind Maybe self preservation will
A no comment interview is absolutely NOT an indicator of guilt. If I were ever in a police station being interviewed, whether I were guilty or innocent, there would be a lawyer present and I would be giving absolutely no answers. Police are not your friends. In the end the evidence will show what the evidence shows and you are under absolutely no obligation to assist the police for their enquiries in any way..

And what prouve you have against him? I noticed that in this country the police take you in the custody before to have any evidence...just personal " suspicion "

Yeah I thought that was a very alarming statement she made there...very alarming.
Strong police work
They never think they're going to get caught, and they always get caught.
Ok, to the police. You can no use someone silence as guilt. They might be the murder or not, but the normal person doesn't get interrogated often. So they don't want the police to twist their words during an emotional time. Duh
The lady detective is so right imagine being accused of such a horrific crime and being totally innocent I'd certainly being going of my head, what an evil evil man
Very sad
Why wouldn't they believe it, it's always the hubby or wife!!
Sometimes it’s the vicar in the billiard room with a lead pipe
He's probably out now, having served half his sentence.
You don't get reductions in a life sentence for murder. He will have to serve the whole sentence and even then may not be released if there are any concerns. Someone given a life sentence can be returned to prison at any time.

We will never know what was said during that phonecall. They were able to prove it was him that rung her and whatever was said, she had little time to process it before she was attacked.

Good day from California USA😊
hello 😊
Britain needs to unpdate their laws bc 25 years is a joke. This ks is year 2025 why is murder or any heinous crime not taken serious STILL!
Britain had the highest incarceration rate in Europe already. It's the US that it's an aberration. I don't think you can get parole for this type of crime though so his life will be nearly over and largely unknowable in his 70's.
I refuse to watch because of the background music it's disturbing and unnecessary
Too many adverts.
No murder makes sense... 😢 such a waste of lives in all aspects.. family,victim,perpetrator....
HOW OLD ' over 20 years ago this maybe more...

Yes, time and again bars and drinking precede these horrific outcomes...
I don't know about the present day but I'd guess most English people met their spouse at the pub.
Terrible! Makes ya sick!
The cops are always skiting about how wonderful they were in this case….

Really a very stupid man. Did not plan it well. 😢😢😢
Another murder sentence given porole at the end of sentence
Wot an ugly spiral

A no comment interview is absolutely NOT an indicator of guilt. If I were ever in a police station being interviewed, whether I were guilty or innocent, there would be a lawyer present and I would be giving absolutely no answers. Police are not your friends. In the end the evidence will show what the evidence shows and you are under absolutely no obligation to assist the police for their enquiries in any way..
If you were the supposed loving husband of the victim, you would not go no comment.
Well if you watch when she walks up the aisle which should be the happiest time, neither seem to notice the other one as she reaches the preacher. The groom doesn’t even look at his bride, he looks to his best man to move up to the altar with him. Neither looked happy.

And what prouve you have against him?
I noticed that in this country the police take you in the custody before to have any evidence...just personal " suspicion "
I understand that the evidence comes afterwards....indeed guilty..
But why the police do always that?
Evidence and then police custody.
