How do I say this without sounding completely batty... you know THOSE songs? U ever listen to his original band Steel Train? The band I was in gig’d with steel train a bit from 2006-2009, watching him do his thing in person multiple nights a week was such an inspiration

Jack gives an energy very similar to Bruce :) For those that aren’t Bruce fans, I would recommend his most recent album “Letter to you”. Seen a lot of videos of Bruce with younger artists, bands, singers..He never tries to take the spotlight, he never interrupts and he never has an ego. I have yet to see anyone of Bruce's stature sit and talk with random musicians, go out of his way to be in their videos, gives humble advice and shows nothing but respect. And Bruce Springsteen would not even go remotely near a song if it isn't any good. I remember when he covered Lorde's Royals when he was performing in NZ.
I like how the rest of the band is smiling at hearing Bruce sing and thus giving this song more character. What I especially like more, is that Bruce sees them smiling at him, but still focuses on the lyrics of the song and sings it as if he wrote it, from the heart, and tries to give it every ounce of meaning. This is such a rooftop song. A song you listen to while sitting on a secluded rooftop overlooking the city, looking at all the people going places. Every single one has a story, a life, it really gives some often needed perspective
This is one of those “once in a decade”songs. Bruce and I are close in age. Seeing him perform with this band, with this song, gives me a sense of hope for the future, but with the bittersweet of music from the past. I literally teared up for some reason. Perfect song for these times we are living in.
“Black tears on your cheek. I want them in my bed” is my new favorite lyric. I love how excited they are to play with one of their heroes. I’ve listened to this song probably over 50 times and I’ve cried, got goosebumps, and had a lump in my throat every time. It’s beautiful and beyond angsty. If Bruce ever did this song solo at one of his shows it would kill.

This version is amazing. I feel like the song gets to breathe a bit more on this version. It's a spectacular song. I do love the original version, but this to me is the perfect version. It's a great song.
This is better than audio version and without doubt it’s one of the greatest song ever! I can’t understand why people not pay attention to this masterpiece! I can’t stop listening for whole year! Every day! Jack one of the most talented musician!
I chose this video because I wanted to see Bleachers live. I didn't pay much attention to the title, just assuming they were doing a Springsteen song. And I sat there (yes, "sat", for once, as the band usually has me up on my octogenarian-but-still-nimble feet) sat there captured by the song immediately and then mesmerised by the... older member of the band (!!). I couldn't take my eyes off him and then, bang! I realised who he was : my musical Boss from way back whom I'd somehow lost sight of over the years. Oh! a Boss who has aged beautifully and sits there so modestly, just happy to be singing a great song with guys he obviously loves. And the tears ran down my cheeks.

Perfect example of the music elevating the lyrics. Perhaps not the most poignant or complex lyrics Jack has ever written, but in combination with the music, some lines just completely knock you for six: "cause I wanna find tomorrow" "sitting on the front stoop/crying out the crazy", "please take the sadness out of saturday night", "I wanna run"...

This song is everything that I needed today. It has the love and passion that mankind has been struggling with since the pandemic started. We are capable of so much beauty, and this is a shining example of that beauty. Perfection. Complete and utter perfection.
This song is so amazing. What a ton of talent on that roof Having fun.😊
What a dream to play with Bruuuuce! Thanks for taking us along Jack with this amazing song!
Myself and the entire team (bleachers) appreciate you for your kind words. Thanks for the endless support and encouragement, feel free to email me share your thoughts, thanks: bleachersmusicofficial@gmail.com
the low angle shot from Jack's left is *chef's kiss*. the background, the light, the framing. could have looked at that the entire video.
Incredible. Driving with this song turned up always makes my day a little brighter. Thanks for the slice of happy guys.
Saw the boss perform a couple of weeks ago and the algorithm brought me back to this, and it feels so good. This man just keeps on giving.
Bleachers is pure talent, love the chorus style. Old school. Just jamming with Bruce. Badass.
The song digs deep into your soul as it takes off, but when the boss kicks in to dig even deeper into the guts of the song, you all of a sudden see it all come true, shining in glory and grace,, an insight into wisdom. If one seeks to find wisdom in a song, then this would be that song... A song of continuity, togetherness, and love...
If spotify wrapped 2020 was released at the last week of December, this song would easily become my top tier and 45 would follow. This song is beautiful, the emotions it evokes are so rare. I hope more people would appreciate this kind of music more.
3 years on and I come back to this song. Different times but it still has it's hooks into me. Strangely comforting considering the times
Different generations coming together to make pure magic. Thank you Jack and Bruce!
Pure Magic.💖

Formidable Bruce, on l'aime tellement fort ici en France, on est si heureux qu'il est collaboré avec ce groupe du New Jersey. Magique...❤❤❤❤
How in the eff do you even play with a legend like Bruce and not lose your composure? I love this so much.
I have seen this 40 times now, it’s incredible. Just everything about it is beautiful🙏🏼

Love this song. Favorite moment in this is at 243-245 The shit eating grin on your face Jack because you're looking down at Bruce singing this timeless song you wrote and totally killing it! freaking awesome. Great track, great moment. Congrats.
This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen/listened to this year. Jack and Bleachers just know how to tug on your heartstrings and remind you of the beautiful pain that comes with longing, heartbreak and love. Thank you for existing!

beautiful song
Perfect example of the music elevating the lyrics. Perhaps not the most poignant or complex lyrics Jack has ever written, but in combination with the music, some lines just completely knock you for six: "cause I wanna find tomorrow" "sitting on the front stoop/crying out the crazy", "please take the sadness out of saturday night", "I wanna run"...
I love this. springsteen playing with young "indie pop" musicians! this is so great! beautiful song, beautiful atmosphere in the video!
EVERY single time I listen to this song I get the CHILLS!!!!
This is the epitome of beauty, and we love to see it.
It hits you when the guy smiles. All those lonely winter nights listening to Bruce n being like ‘I feel that!!’; and realizing you aren’t alone.
Then
He sings your song with you. Man, the emotions he must’ve felt!!
