My lock function stopped working, i did this after putting a new battery in the fob, all resynced almost instantly. Thank you, saved me an expensive visit to a dealer!

This worked for me - sourced from Vauxhall Corsa (2012) Owner's Manual-page 20. The problem with this car being that the remote did not lock or unlock the driver door while locking and unlocking the passenger and boot doors. >> 1: Ensure the car is locked prior to steps 2 to 7. 2: Take note which way up the remote battery is facing then completely remove the battery from the remote fob for about 60 seconds. 3: Replace the battery. 4: Take note - Once the battery is replaced do not use the remote to unlock the car. 5: Use the key to open the driver door. 6: Insert the key into the ignition and switch on. 7: Switch off and test. * * * Note: This will not solve the problem if the locking solenoid (an electro-mechanical device) is faulty. This can be tested by locking the doors from inside the car via the internal lock button - insure the lock button is illuminated - then opening the relevant door window. Now test if the relevant door can be opened via the the external door handle. If the door opens while the internal lock button is illuminated and the external door handle is operated then the locking solenoid is not engaging and either needs replacing or determining if an electrical fault is at cause. (it is assumed that the other doors operate without fault). Here is some addition info that may be of interest >> Vehicle Customisation/Personalisation
From Vauxhall Corsa (2012) Owner's Manual-pages 92-93.
1: Insert the key into the ignition switch without switching on - the ignition must be off and no lights illuminated on the miles display.
2: Pull the signal and wiper levers towards the steering wheel until a confirmation beep is heard.
3: The miles display will display a P(+ number) follower by off or on.
4: Pushing the signal lever up or down will scroll through P1 to P7.
5: Pushing the wiper lever up or down will toggle the relevant P(+ number) on or off.
6: The P(+ number) customisation are as follows:
7: P1 - ON: Switch on the external lighting using the remote control.
8: P2 - ON: Automatic rear windscreen wiper when reverse gear selected.
9: P3 - ON: Lane change indication: three flashes when the lever is moved slightly. If the lever is held longer the indication flash is - as normal - continuous until automatically or manually cancelled.
19: P4 - ON: The driver door will unlock with one press of the remote but the passenger doors and tail-gate will require an additional press of the remote to unlock. This security feature will prevent unauthorised entry to the vehicle via passenger doors and tail-gate when the driver door is unlocked.
20: P4 - OFF: All doors including tail-gate will be unlocked with one press of the remote.
21: P5 - ON: All doors will automatically be locked a short while after unlocking if no door has been opened and will automatically lock all doors after the car is driven as short distance provided all doors are completely closed.
22: P6 - ON: A particular maximum speed can be assigned. When this speed is exceeded a warning buzzer sounds.
23: P7: Adjustment of the volume of the acoustic turn signal.

Thank you! This helped me. The only issue I have now is that it only locks once. Before, I could click the lock button once, then the 2nd time and it fully locks for safety. Now the button only reacts to the first pressing on lock, so will only lock it once. Any suggestions how to fix this?

How do I do this if I have 2 keys and the one turning on the car doesnt have the buttons for opening and closing the doors, the other key is like the key shown in the video and I cannot put it in the ignition because its a different key but it has the buttons for opening and closing the doors?
My doors do not respond. Only driver door can be open with the key. Other doors are dead. You even can't open them from the inside. Any help will appreciate. Thank you

Will this work on a vectra C. I have one key. I changed the casing as broken. I tested it did work to open and unlock the car. I didnt open any doors not thinking I had to. 30mins later absolutely nothing. Any tips please

I did this and it worked well for a while, but somehow my car "forgets" about it. It's hard to explain, but after about a day, (or maybe when I turn the car off) the remote doesn't work again, only the key. Any advice?
Hey! Syncing is needed every time u replace the battery, so its probably because your battery has movement inside the socket. The plastic bits that need to hold the battery in position are very easy to break. If this is the case, just put some paper inside to fill the space between the battery and the case so it keeps the battery in position. Needs to be tight.

@@dreamgoblin434 You were correct, the battery didn't stay in place. I taped some paper to the opposite side of the battery to hold it in place, and it's been working for a few days now. Thank you so much for the solution!
Did somebody try it with a chinese web key that comes with a chip? Could it be programmed the same way?
My car keeps forgetting the key all the time. I have to synchronize every now and then. Then it works sometime, until I have to synchronize the key again. Battery is not the problem. Can anyone help me on this? Why does the car keep forgetting the synchronised key?
I just bought a new replacement fob for.mine as the old circuit board got damaged and this method isn't working is there another way to program the key

@@uno.kr9816 the only solution I found was to desolder the broken battery holder cutting it off carefully helps protect the circuit board and on the new fob desolder the battery holder and as i didnt care about it i did destroy the board with the heat from the soldiering iron

My zafira 2007 not starting because of mobiliser central lock is working what I have to do car engine not start because of mobilizer not allow fuel to engine and not to start
You have to cancel the immobilizer using a dyagnose tool for Opel/Vauxhall

probably your circuit board on your key is damaged, check for any broken solders, if there arent any then u might have to buy a new key
