In Bulgaria(or at least my dad) we use pickles instead of peas and instead of a sauce we always serve it with mash potatoes. One of my most favorite recipes, literally had it the other day. Next time I'll definitely try it with peas, because it definitely feels like it fits perfectly and with the sauce.
It looks like a great recipe, have to make it soon! Next week I am in Istanbul, definitely inspired by your videos on Turkish cuisine, and I am planning to try a lot of typical Turkish dishes, but so far I mainly have the popular, well-known dishes written down. Would you have some recommendations for lesser known typical Turkish dishes I have to try when I am there? Thanks for the videos!!
Definitely try cag kebabi and some traditional restaurants serving home style dishes. Try avoiding touristy areas / restaurants as they tend to be far from the authentic tastes. If you can contact mr via Instagram, I can also suggest some places depending on the area you will be staying.
Looks great! I used to make this recipe as I learned it from my mother, but your recipe looks better. I will use your recipe next time 👍
Suitable to make beef wellington.. thank you for your gorgeous recipe!!
