I do think both Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will get nominated. It would be crazy if they don’t. Wicked beating Dune would be an upset but I actually wouldn’t be mad about it. Like at all. It’s that good.

Can you believe it took THIS long to get a black performer to play the wicked witch.? The Broadway version of Wicked (to this day) never wanted a black woman to tell the story about a green woman who is being prejudiced against. Go and figure! I bet now that the movie came out they'll find the first black Wicked actress for the Broadway version.. I Enjoy your reviews. Thanks.
I did some research, it turns out Saycon Sengbloh was the first black woman to play Elphaba on Broadway back in 2005. However, I do believe the movie will open more doors for black women to take on the role.
