Fair point, but the minimum wage and no benefits part was your assumption. Most do, but not every household maid (either working for themselves or a cleaning service) faces those conditions.

- Many years ago, I bought flowers for my mum. "Don't waste your money" then, "Thank-you".
- A female I live with smokes (I don't). I clean the house - including some places uncleaned for years. I stink+she is fine.
- I wash the dishes (I have cleaned in fish shops to compliments from a shitty boss). At home? I don't wash them the right way.
- I bring in the shopping and sort it out in the kitchen. At least here there is no issue. Stuffed if I know why.
In my experience, women are control freaks whilst complaining that men don't do anything. I do it anyway.
I wouldn't be surprised if a female marketer wrote the CEO's blurb on the bleach bottle. Like CEOs are benchmarks for societal norms. Not!
Poor you **eye roll** you do normal amounts of housework and shopping. The terribly difficult life you lead. **gasp** who says they “live with a “female”” good god, that just reeks of self-importance and ego.
FYI take a minute and think why your Mum said “don’t waste your money”. Maybe it’s because like most women her age she was taught theough rhetoric and action, practically from infancy, that they aren’t worth equal time, effort, or money. That they are less than men and therefore causes most women to have very little self worth. Especially older generations of women that were taught their only purpose in life was to be a wife and mother.
You’re whole paragraph sounds like the ramblings of a man that has never questioned the why or purpose of anything. Let alone the weird dynamics of a household. My advice, crack a book and get over yourself. You will never be a poor little victim.
You sound like an angry woman, probably similar to the one he lives with.
