Hey Jeannie here. Grace has not gotten the attention and recognition she we'll deserves. What a great talented Lady. WOW is all I got to say❤Unique and exquisite Voice. I love you GRACE POTTER 💛I'll always be listening to Grace.
You can't fully appreciate the power of her voice until you hear her on a mic live. And her voice just fills the room. And you realize this full scale of her Talent.
2005 Heather what is your real name 2005 or Heather or are both the #2005 and Heather aliases you're using to try to keep your family 👪 and/or friends from finding out that you're getting into conversations on TH-cam and possibly other similar sites with some sort of ties with the internet and I'm trying to guess that you're a Millennial , and if you are and you're trying to be a productive member of society I mean no disrespect but can you explain to me why your generation has decided that using your real names has become old fashioned and not the way to do things anymore and why do so many of y'all avoid having real time conversations , and by all means avoid using your real names even if you bother to join a conversation for anything other than to try to hijack the conversation and/or people's names like I know the do nothing still living in their parents homes to avoid having to accept the responsibilities of being the adults they claim to be and taking care of themselves and not sponging off of their parents for as long as their often misguided parents will allow them to , but as I said Heather I'm trying to guess you might be a Millennial who is trying to be a productive member of society and I mean no disrespect, but I've been asking the same question for most of a year now as politely as I can usually , but not so politely (admittedly) at times and being called a stupid old 🧓 man who wouldn't understand any way , not withstanding I just wish someone in your generation would explain whatever happened to having real time conversations with people using their real names like people my age (73 years old) are used to like we were taught (from before we were in kindergarten in those ancient times (in my case the 1950's)and as I've said I've been asking Millennials in general for most of a year to explain to me ( both politely and, admittedly at times not so politely ), Heather and like I've said more times than I can count, almost I have meant no disrespect to you if you're amongst the Millennials trying to be productive members of society , so please Heather, I'd be very appreciative, if you'd explain to me when and why did it become necessary to no longer use real names, and to no longer have real time conversations, (especially the do nothing Millennial punks, still living at home with their parents, so they don't have to accept the responsibilities of being the adults they claim to be, and taking care of themselves) like has been going on in this country for as long as the US has been a country pretty much, so Heather, not trying to repeat myself but a year and more is a long time no wait to get some sort of explanation as to why your generation seems to be so dead set on rejecting life as it's been known for close to 4 or 5 hundred years in this country , cause I would really like to find out when and why it became so old fashioned and unnecessary to use real names and have real time conversations that don't go days, weeks, months, and up to a year and many times more than a year between individual comments, especially the do nothing still living at home with their parents , Millennial punks who obviously should have plenty of time on their hands , since they are still living in their parents homes, sponging off of their parents for as long as their parents will let them and again Heather I mean no disrespect , especially if you are trying to be a productive member of society, taking care of yourself and maybe your own family, if you have started one 1⃣ and please believe me, Heather I will try to show you the same respect that I sense in your possible response or comments about my comments and hopefully you think 🤔 politely asked questions 😊😅😮😢😂❤😂😊❤😊❤
So once again Heather I hope to see and hear a notification (that I will check out and as I said , when I do see and/or hear one 1⃣ from you I'll try 🎉respond with the same respect, no less, that I sense in your response and /or comments and believe me I'll take no real offense if I don't hear back from you 😊😅😮😢😂❤😂😊❤😊❤
Every once in a while an artist really stands out. Grace Potter is gorgeous and I'm sure there are plenty who say they love her because of her physical appearance, BUT she is a real musician and vocalist. Don't get me wrong. I love her videos, but as I musician.. I am blown away by her talent. Sometimes I feel sorry for her band as they probably don't get the credit they deserve. Her band is amazing. Sometimes when you have a light that shines so bright in a group that they leave a big shadow. Thank you Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Keep it up. It is very much appreciated.
Yesterday he said my eyes were fading fast away I said well what do you expect You asked me not to stay and if it had all been for the best I wouldn't feel this way And he said, Oh he said, He said it's crazy how love stays with me You know it hurts me 'cause I don't wanna fight this war It's amazing to see me reading through this scene of love and fear and apologies, apologies My love is like a blanket that gets a little bit too warm sometimes I wanna wrap somebody in it who can hold me in his arms 'cause when it got a little too hot in there He was always stepping out for air and he froze Oh he froze He said it's crazy how love stays with me You know it hurts me 'cause I don't wanna fight this war It's amazing to see me reading through this scene of love and fear and apologies, apologies Yesterday he looked at me with a tear in his eye and said, I'll always tell you you're my friend I hope I don't have to lie 'cause it's clear you love another man I said, you're damn right And he said, Oh he said.. He said, it's crazy how love stays with me You know it hurts me 'cause I don't wanna fight this war It's amazing to see me reading through this scene of love and fear and apologies He says it's crazy how love stays with me You know it hurts me that I didn't figure it out before And now it's too late for a soliloquy Way too late for dignity It's time for apologies, apologies, apologies ♡♡♡
Talented artists like GP don't get the recognition they so deserve. In stead the airwaves are filled with songs about money, cars and women. #ThankyouGrace
As a man who is sensitive and loving, Grace touches my heart in the deepest way! I am very much in LOVE with a very sensitive, smart and hurt woman who is very warm but her walls (fears) are difficult to live with at times but I understand her and I sing this song (Apologies) to her quite often...Listen to the story behind this song and it will break your heart but you will understand APOLOGIES!!
I love you Grace. You are that goodness that keeps shining. It's when you want to sing--as a singer--and then we see you! This song is absolutely amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. Imagine if you will--someone yesterday tells you--just play your guitar, daily, one chord at a time. Music lives. It's never been about the money. It's about the song. This one....
Hey trust 277 Mike I'm not sure why You Tube is just now showing your comments from 4 years ago other than you haven't bothered to add any more comments on your own in the last 4 years and maybe the powers that be at You Tube might have thought that either not still around (or I'm thinking just as likely ) or that you forgot you were even in a conversation that was 4 years old ,and I'll ask without really expecting a response back from you , cause I won't wait for 4 years for one 1⃣ because even though I'm 73 years old, retired and living in an assisted living home I have more important things to do than wait on a suspected do nothing Millennial punk to be respectful enough to take out a few minutes of your so very busy do nothing days to remember that you're in a conversation, and Mike I'll apologize whether I need to or not if you're a Millennial who is trying to be a productive member of society and I meant no disrespect if you're not a do nothing Millennial punk still living at home to avoid having to accept the responsibilities of being the adult they claim to be and planning on doing so, as long as their parents will allow them to, so as I said Mike I'm not sure why you didn't check back in on this conversation , for at least 4 years and if I don't hear back from you I'll just figure you might be a don't finish anything you start type, no disrespect meant that's not deserved 😊😅😮😢😂❤😂😊❤😊❤
And please Mike remember that I at least tried to preface my comments and end them by saying I meant no disrespect that wasn't deserved cause if for some reason you do happen to respond in less than 4 years (remember that I'm 73 years old so I figure I should be forgiven if I forget even after only a month or two 2⃣ that I sent out this message 😊😅😮😢😂❤😂😊❤😊❤
Anyone who can use a word such as 'soliloquy' in a song is a genius in my book: "...It's too late for a soliloquy It's way too late for dignity..." Grace Potter, like a dagger piercing through the heart!
I love you Grace Potter I'm 39, my daughter's 6, and I fully feel every word , of this song. I've finally let go fully of her dad for Nothing changes( alcoholic) and it's just time to heal and apologies. Thank you!
I'm thrown back emotionally 30 yrs when I listen to this song driving on a cd mix of Grace's great tunes...Just by her voice...The lyrics of this song are timeless and apply to people any age...This lady has some real talent....big time...She is definitely the Stevie Nicks of her generation....Love her!!
This song, especially this version, pulls at my heart strings. It's. Just. So. Perfect. It's so hard to explain but so easy to pulled away into another world and just enjoy it for what it is: a beautiful song. I love anything GPN puts out. It's all great. And it always gives me a feeling that I cannot explain because every song touches me in a certain way. Great song.
Wow. I mean...wow. I love Grace's voice and a lot of her music but this is fantastic and significant and some kind of elevated way. I love that I stumbled on this.
Awesome.Always come back to this song. This is when she is at her best,I love Star s to great song she was probably hurting when she wrote this song.Hard place to go back to,don'ya think .
Isn't it crazy how our pain push's us 2write the best words down on our blank paper while were hurt&have our scar's from the turmoil of our situations.. it's those painfilled emotional moments that are the very thing that push's it thru us in the end & show's the very pain we lived thru emotionally becomes our so called pretty amounts of gold in the end.... Breath taking lyric's from the real life learned situations that we carry so closely on the heart are the true beauty's!!!!:) Thx.s Grace!
What has amazed me about Grace is how easily she can move in and out of the various genres of music 🎶 she has sung over the years from down and dirty blues to the sort of easy listening 👂 bluesy rock of the song in this video 😅😅😮😢😂❤😂😊❤😊❤
Wow, long time since I first heard this song, but I immediately googled it to find it. First heard on the now defunked soap opera All My Children. Still one of my favorite songs, ever.
This song seems to touch on the classic love story between a couple in reference to timing. The girl gave "too much love" ("my love is like a blanket..) at times, which scared the boy. Eventually the boy let the girl go, but her loved stayed with him ( "crazy her love stays with me"). Eventually the man owns up and tell her he's sorry, but its too late ("you love somebody else, damn right"). Sometimes being scared of too much love, means more than the love itself. Good stuff Grace
One of the most under appreciated songs i have ever heard. This version is phenomenal

Yes!! Beth,Grace and Linda are talents others will never reach.
Yesterday he said my eyes
were fading fast away
I said well what do you expect
You asked me not to stay and if it had all been for the best
I wouldn't feel this way
And he said,
Oh he said,
He said it's crazy
how love stays with me
You know it hurts me 'cause I don't wanna fight this war
It's amazing to see me reading through this scene
of love and fear and apologies, apologies
My love is like a blanket
that gets a little bit too warm sometimes
I wanna wrap somebody in it who can hold me in his arms 'cause when it got a little too hot in there
He was always stepping out for air and he froze
Oh he froze
He said it's crazy how love stays with me
You know it hurts me 'cause I don't wanna fight this war
It's amazing to see me reading through this scene
of love and fear and apologies, apologies
Yesterday he looked at me
with a tear in his eye and said, I'll always tell you you're my friend
I hope I don't have to lie 'cause it's clear you love another man
I said, you're damn right
And he said,
Oh he said..
He said, it's crazy how love stays with me
You know it hurts me
'cause I don't wanna fight this war
It's amazing to see me reading through this scene
of love and fear and apologies
He says it's crazy how love stays with me
You know it hurts me
that I didn't figure it out before
And now it's too late for a soliloquy
Way too late for dignity
It's time for apologies,
apologies, apologies
