I'm so glad you make videos Erin. Seein the way you use your journals feels so familiar and comforting to me! I'm going through a stage of zero creativity and even though I know it won't last forever it can be very worrying. Watching how you do things is like a little reminder that it is still there in me, just buried under too many weights of life at the moment. It's just nice to see you doing the things even though I feel I can't right now haha! Looking forward to seeing where you go next. P.s. I always change up my system as soon as I make a video about it. It's kind of the reason I stopped making planner videos because I couldn't financially keep up with the changes haha! Thank you for such a familiar and comforting walk through all your gorgeous journals! P.s. I LOVE your 'tend' words x
Not wanting to make it more complicated for you, butbhave you seen the planners that Sterling Ink is releasing? My first thought when I saw them was what a perfect planner for a self-employed creative. Goal setting and monthly calendars along with pages and pages of grid tomoe river paper for exploring ideas. Fingers crossed I will find my way back to creating again for 2024 and may consider one then. Thought I'd mention it in case you hadn't seen haha
Thanks, Emily! I've been meaning to check on you---moving back home after living abroad is so hard. I've "repatriated" (such an official word) twice, once after living in East Jerusalem for three years, and I found it harder than the culture shock that comes from being in such a different world. It takes a while (long while) to catch up to yourself, especially for us sensitive creatives. Give yourself a lot of grace and time, and find little things that make you happy. You'll get your spark back, trust me. :)
I have seen it, but thanks for reminding me! It looks very nice. I'm still working out what I'm doing next year, but I'm leaning away from Hobonichi because I find all the extra stuff on the pages too...much. Too messy, too distracting. I will never give up the Weeks though! That's my happy place.
I really love your video Erin!! Your a6 hobonichi blew me away! So beautiful 😍😍
Thanks! That one really has my heart right now. :)
