Amazon sells airtight wet painting palettes for anyone not wanting to pay the price of those butcher trays. Sometimes those are a tad expensive, but sometimes ya get lucky. The key here is getting a tray with that level of depth and a sponge sheet to keep your parchment moist.
Yes! It’s like a normal pencil sharpener though, so it doesn’t have the long point like the Blackwing sharpeners. The cap also fits any regularly sized pencil, like the Blackwing.

Yes!!! I love to hear that. It has seriously changed the painting game for me, and I really didn't want to buy one of those big plastic palettes.

I've also used just a plastic/tupperware container. No need to buy anything at all! (I have had this tray for literal years. :)
