- Can't open zip files in Windows 10? You can fix the problem quite easily by following this simple method. Please let's know if it works for you. Right click on Windows start button I control panel I programs I default programs I set default programs I Windows Explorer I set this program as default. Now restart your computer and check if it's working for you.

WIndows 10 has done an update and all the buttons are different now. i feel this video needs an update

My Windows 10 didn't have the "change small icons to 'category'". Other "links" also didn't show on my system, which is usually the case when I'm trouble shooting. Bummer.
Did not work i still get the same error message
Problem is, folders that aren't torrent files, are being opened with Utorrent, meaning that i literally cannot open them... when i try to open them with 7 Zip, It just doesn't work.
would of been nice to show the error before you started....

I don't have file explorer! So didn't work for me either.
I am able to download the zip file but when I open it, there’s one file and I click on it and it just opens a web browser.

The zip i want to extract is not corrupted and get easily extracted in different pc but shows errors in my pc any solution...😔
At 1:06 in the video ia the only part where i dont see what youre seeing. I tried looking on find a setting with no luck. On the right it shows default apps. No luck

Worked for me!!! I was struggling to download a zip file of an album I bought and had constantly got a "Failed-Forbidden" message. I followed what this video said to do and it worked!

Everyone, please note that Opening ZIP files still needs some steps, Even after undoing the Compressed Lock on your Windows.

Hey so I have Windows 10 and when I open anything it automatically deletes it and it says some things I don't understand I can't open any application
