Nobody talks about how in Gentle's backstory, even if they don't use the line, his body basically "moved without him thinking" when he tried to save that person. He just didn't have the discipline and skill with his quirk yet to pull it off. I can't believe I never connected the dots that his original crime was failing to save someone from falling, and his redemption was literally pulling a god damn Atlas by stopping UA from falling. I am soooooooo glad they gave Gentle so much gravitas. That chapter was the one that got me back into reading the manga, and "one person holds up a falling island/meteor/city" is one of my favorite tropes in fiction.
No joke, I feel exactly the same way. For me, that's also one of the best scenes in *My Hero Academia* and one of the best redemptions ever. I already felt so bad for Gentle when he first appeared because he always wanted to help from the heart but just didn't have the skill for it. I'd even go as far as to say that this is exactly what I always wanted to see from Rock Lee in *Naruto*, but never got. A dude who can't do much but gets his moment. *MHA* just nailed it perfectly, I truly love everything about it. And your conclusion was perfect

They cooked with Gentle's big moment. It's beautiful how two of Deku's former enemies show up to save him as he's actively trying to do the same for Shigaraki, it's a moment that really encapsulates this whole story.

I know the back half of season four has its fair share of detractors. Personally, I really enjoyed it. This was one of my favorite manga chapters in this arc and Studio Bones nailed the tone and emotion perfectly. It was so awesome to see those with the hearts of a hero but who had chosen the villanous path acquiesce to the better part of their natures and help out.
i read the manga too but theres just something about seeing it come to life. this season is showing how everything that came before is culminating in such a special way thats earned
GENTLE AND MOMMY NAGANT IS BACK LETS GOOO. And the real Shiggy is back which I’m super excited for! Also Dabi/Toya literally looks like a burnt zombie and I love it he’s so cool. Lmao not you calling out the blue sky haters I love it.
I teared up. Gentle and La Brava are genuinely in my top 5 characters in the show. Their hearts are so sweet and I love how they're written and I NEVER expected they'd come back as more than a filler arc but I'm SO happy they did! 🥹🥹🥹🥹
To realize Gentle's real power, they said his prison was the only one which didn't have any jailbreakers. He stopped a whole prison, filled with villains with quirks probably more powerful than his, all by himself and did it without La Brava's boost. That prooves how skilled and knowlegable is about his quirk, and how strong he is on his own.

Honestly, I thought that the whole Gentle Criminal arc was fine. Didn't love it, didn't hate it... However, this call back is a masterpiece. Made me realize how amazing La Brava and Gentle really are as characters. Certainly worthy of the Might+U
Gentle and Nagant’s return in the final war arc was so satisfying. Showing that former enemies can help out the heroes in the final battle. Hopefully next episode it’s the one where Tokoyami is about to pop off. Manga readers know
I too love the Gentle Criminal arc and to see him make his comeback (with La Brava) in the way he did was MORE than I could have even hoped for. That Might U track was PERFECT for his moment 😭 I'm not sure about best episode in totality, but Gentle's return (especially in the anime with the music, the animation, and the voice acting) was the best moment of the season and one of the best moments of the entire series IMO.

Also love how Gentle just casually performs one of the greatest feats of strength in the entire show! Gentles always been one of my favorite characters in this series, a great parallel to Deku. This was one of my favorite moments in the entire manga and i'm so happy Bones gave it the adaptation it deserves. It's a little moment but i love how Deku realizes it's gentle just off a quick summation of the quirk being used- most characters wouldn't have linked it so fast but Deku being the fanboy of heros and quriks he is immediately knew!

IMO the problem with the U.A School Festival Arc is that it's following the Overhaul Arc so I think to a lot of people it just seems like a less important Arc in comparison like how in One Piece the Thriller Bark Saga follows the Water Seven Saga or how the Sky Island Saga follows the Alabasta Saga literally a hard act to follow it's not that they are bad or anything.
I cried when Gentle got powered up by La Brava's love power and Deku realizing who saved them. Love giving power is one of the most beautiful things there are. Have you read the manga? You seem to have known about several things. orz
I love this scene so much. There is virtually nothing wrong with it. My opinion: It is the second-best scene in the show. I place it right below S6 Ep23. (Best episode in the show it was Deku vs Class 1-A) But the scene where Tenya Ida catches Deku.
I think the better artistic choice would have been to not translate/caption the end of the phrase “absence makes the hart grow fonder” instead of delaying is display on the screen. Also as a fellow manga reader I predict the next episode cliff hanger is gonna be all might revealing the suitcase
