Is there a typo on round 13? Seems there are too many stitches in the middle and not enough on the sides? I would think from round 12 that the sides should have 4sc and the middle also 4sc?
I just made this for my boyfriend's birthday, as he used to have bearded dragons but the last one passed away a month ago, and he was so happy with it!! This design allowed me to give him the perfect gift
I’ve made the base and the top part so far! Working on the beard today. I’m new to crocheting, but your videos have helped me to learn a lot! Even if my stuff isn’t perfect lol
When you said you were thinking of doing the alphabet in 24 hours, I thought you meant the actual shapes of the letters! Just little A-to-Z 3D plushes, which sounds doable enough. So if you feel like 26 tiny animals might be a bit of a stretch, that's an idea for you! ;)
This is totally going on my do to project list. My nephew is obsessed with my bearded dragon and i'm sure he would love his own crochet one. Also helps that he loves crochet animals
I love your bearded dragon At first I thought it was going to be a Thorny devil lizard. Can you imagine the picots on that one. Brilliant tutorial thank you ❤
Thank U for this pattern. It was very challenging but finally finished it. He turned out so cute! Wish I could send U a picture of how mine turner out. Love it. ❤️❤️
When this first came out it was perfect timing as one of my family loves lizards and has a birthday in September. Thought I'd make one then but I got sick. A year later I've come back and made one. It looks a little different (because I used Ricorummi yarn) and a smaller hook but I think it looks cute
Soooooo im on a complicated knot pattern rampage so im crocheting and writing down these patterns and i got too carried away now i have spent 2 hours crocheting a scientifically correct body shape for this guy 😂oops❤
@@ForAllYarnkindoh so i made the body more elongated and the head too with a smaller yarn to make a lengthy and slim body shape to make it less cartoony and i used smaller eyes Approximately 3-4 more rows on the torso and tail with only 1 more sc round on the head, i did have a some trouble modifying the armour pieces so i cant say exactly the amount of extra rows i did but it would be about the same as i added on the body piece
My beardie just passed today. I’ve been thinking about making this pattern so now I’m going to make it in his colors and put it next to his ashes, I feel like it’d be a nice little goodbye to him. Update: He's done now, and I'm so happy. I took the extra time to add detailing in his colors and patterns, and I'm really glad I did. I'm also making a beardie for his vet, she treats a lot of exotic animals and she really liked him, so I felt like that would be nice.
Update: I went to the craft store this afternoon and now it’s after midnight, I’ve been working on this all day. It’s so therapeutic and I’m making him in as close as I could get to my beardie’s colors, I’m planning to stitch on him so he has the same patterns too
I’m confused by row 6 on the base. It’s for more than 22 stitches. Am I missing something? If anyone could explain I would be very grateful thank you 🫶🏻
The top piece got me. My shape was close but more rounded. Not sure why, but I'm going to come back to it soon. Not sure what I did that made it look odd.
I may have to actually try crocheting so I can make one of those! I have a bearded dragon and would love to have something that looks like him that will actually let me hug him lol
My childhood friend is getting a uromastyx and i am going to try using this pattern without the extra spiky bits, mess around with it a bit and see if i cant get a good lookin uromastyx plushie to gift to her! Wish me luck >
This is exactly what I have been looking for, except I would like the finished project to be larger. If I double all the instructions, do you think that would work? Thank you!
I’m new at crochet, it looks like you are going through only one loop for the increase and then sometime it looks like two. I can do a magic circle but when I do the increases do I do them in the spaces or the stitch. I want to master this. ❤
To clarify further the top piece matches up until R29 I’m going to add non decrease rows in between decreases to see if that works! You’re patterns are always amazing 🫶🏽 thank you for the challenge
Can anyone help.... I have stopped at row 20 or 21 of the top piece and somehow I have spikes where I shouldn't have and my piece is way bigger then the body/base piece. I have no clue what I did wrong but I can hold the base piece in my hand (fingertips to wrist) however the top piece at row 20 or 21 is already over half my hand and twice as large (not sure if I'm making any sense)
So the picot has its own independent stitch or it’s added to the last stitch in the description? (5sc, picot = 5sc + sc with picot OR 5sc with the picot on stitch 5)
5sc with the picot on stitch 5. Thanks for flagging this, I wasn't aware that the notation could be confusing, I'll make sure I explain clearer if it comes up in future :)
I appreciate it. I had no issues with the beard but the top piece is another story. Thanks for the prompt reply, I just found you and all your work is A M A Z I N G and you are charismatic I enjoy your tutorials!!
Hello I know it’s late but I’m struggling with row 14/15 on the top piece, when I do row 14 I loose stitches at the sides just become picots so it means I can’t decrease on 15 as I have no stitches on the sides
Hi! I have a couple of suggestions that might help :) 1. Double check your stitch count after R13 - I'm sure it's fine, but it helps to make sure that the issue is definitely R14. 2. Take some stitch markers/bobby pins/scrap yarn and mark every sc and dec you work in R14. You will need 14 "markers" to do this, but it means you will be able to find every stitch when you work R15. This isn't a very wide piece, so you can feasibly do this for the rest of the rows if it helps. I hope this helps!
I so badly want to make this, but i somehow do something wrong around row 14 of the top piece. I have retried about 3 times now but i get lost in which stitches i should or shouldn't count as a sc to come to the same amount.. then i thought i had figured it out but once i got to row 17 i noticed my whole piece wasn't centered anymore😣.. please help
10:15 I'm guessing 80 picots based on pausing and counting the nubbins on the back and beard! Then there's the toes as well, which look like extended picots, so about 100 total... Yikes. xD
I wish we had a little better look at telling where the sc's start with the pico between them, looks a little jumbled to me and thats been my main struggle. Really liking this pattern tho and slowly working through it
Quick question. Did my eyes decieve me, or did you sometimes during the base piece (somewhere between round 1-4) do the stitch only in one loop? (like only the front..?) If so, why? ^^"
What you are witnessing is my use of "invisible" increases and decreases! It's a personal preference thing, but I think they look nicer then regular inc/dec. Invisible increase: work the first stitch in the front loop only, then the second stitch through both loops. Invisible decrease: insert your hook through the front loops of the next two stitches, yarn over and pull up a loop. yarn over and pull through all loops on hook.
Dang I've tried to do the top piece 10 times and I can't do it. I'm a fairly advanced crocheter and it's difficult. I can't figure out where to do the decreases. 😢
Hi! I'll assume it's R14 of the base piece, but let me know if it's the top piece that's the issue :) 1. Check to make sure you have 18 stitches at the end of R13. 2. Simplified, R14 looks like this: 4sc, 3sc in the same stitch, 4sc, 4sc, 3sc in the same stitch, 4sc. That should work out to 22 stitches in total. Hope that helps :)
Hello creator! I was confused about row 13. I’m a new crocheter and don’t understand how you can go from doing a decrease, then 6sc, then another decrease in between the two picots in row 12, to then doing it again, also in between two picots, in row 13. I don’t see how the math adds up that you can do everything in row 13 when, because of the two decreases in the original row, you are now at 8sc in the row instead of the original 10 in row 12. Sorry about the long comment. I’d appreciate the help though!
I get lost around that area somewhere aswell..(also a newby to chrocheting although up untill now u had no issues with patterns, however didn't have to deal with picots yet) it gets me confused which stitches count as a single crochet and which belong to a picot..
