Nice unlock! Quick question: What's your favorite pick brand? I'm currently looking at options like Moki, the upcoming Apex release, and Rob Lawn custom picks (I’d ask him to make 20-thousandths picks in low, short, medium, and high profiles, plus he can make them in cork handles which will grip well). I've also considered Multipick. What’s your take on the best brand? Personally, I feel like Covert doesn’t offer enough variety in pick depths (low, short, medium, and high). It could just be my lack of picking skills, but I feel I might be able to open more locks if I had a wider range of pick depth options. What do you think?
@@TheLockWhisperer I don’t really have a favorite brand, more favorite profiles from different brands. I’m personally not a fan of Multipick hooks, the shafts are very narrow and while they’re good for really tight keyways they have a lot of flex and not a good choice for heavy handed pickers imo. I feel like between the reaper set and genesis/echelon profiles CI has their bases covered. The Apex line has a lot more profiles but won’t have anything thinner than .020 for a while. Jimy Longs is a good option for basic hooks shapes as he offers low, short, medium and deep hooks in both flat and round. Moki has a nice selection of hook depths also but I don’t feel like they do anything Jimy hooks don’t do already at a lower cost to the user. Also Moki have more flex than Jimy unless you go with his Xtra series which are the one’s I use the most from Moki’s lineup. I only like a couple profiles from Sparrows like the SSDEV set and the tron from the Monstrum set. Lawlock’s Tipene profiles are the only one’s I ever actually use from that brand. I can’t answer if more pick options will make you a better picker, you have to find what works best for you and what profiles best transfer feedback in a way that makes sense to you.
I agree mine was the same. Great video 👍
I thought i was losing my mind when that thing put up the fight it did, thank you from me and my ego!
CYP, my man, I got my Packock 90A Pro from him. Such a great dude! I always forget to order these Ace padlocks. They seem fun!
Sweet
I've been working on that lock! How would you suggest getting the grit out?
