Hi guys 😁What's the battery mileage range like from full charge to being drained? How long does it take to recharge the battery too? Can you get replacement parts like batteries easily. Cheers
If you're in low rang pedal assist, you'll get a max range of 38-40km that will decrease if your riding in pedal assist high all the time. It takes 4 hours to charge the battery 🔋 and we aren't too sure on what it's like to get parts but we can let you know as the motor as gone already, typically after the videos gone live. 🙄 You definitely get what you pay for we think. We aren't sure this is the ULTIMATE van life bike.
@@the_groovy_life It could be that the speed controller packed up or cut out under load. If unlocking the frame and folding it separates the battery pack (like mine) it might reset it...worked with mine which is very similar. The speed controller box is probably inside the frame, like mine, easy fix possibly and/or not difficult to find a new one to replace. I doubt it's the motor, but hey; I could be wrong.
@pa_maj.MARTINI-van-MAN Hey we did think of that but unfortunately we couldn't get the battery out as the screws just spin must have been over tighted when the factory installed it
We love the video with the review of the bike do you get to keep it or you have to send it back after the review. Will you be going to Europe soon. More campers have arrived in our town. The e-bike you could put in car I think and worth the money for a first e-bike, More pics of France coming soon when I get have something interesting, Merci I will take you up on the stickers and give you a relatives address in the UK in October as we are back in UK on our 2nd UK tour this year, and will stick a groovy sticker on our vehicle

@NoelG-IRE it seems a lot of these budget e bikes don't have gears. I guess that's what brings the price down. We will be doing an overall video on all the bikes we've received this summer and talking more in detail about the pros and cons. We do like the DYU it's just not as high spec as others on the market.
My bike has ten gears, never used them, I just stay in the highest gear tbh. Mine has a twist grip throttle though and was purchased before pedal assist became compulsory.

@@the_groovy_life The speed control box is normally in the section of frame near the pedals. Hopefully you'll be able to get it sorted.

No gears is madness. I’d gladly spend a few more quid and get a better model.
You get what you pay for with this bike! I totally agree, if I was to go out and buy one I'd definitely want gears ⚙️

Where do your feet go if you’re on the back seat?
The back seat only holds around 25kg, good for saddle bags and groceries, definitely not for adults to sit on.
