Hello Josie & Echo. Lovely to see the both of you again. Hats off to you for assembling the electric bike all on your own. 🚴♀ That looked like you were having such a fun time riding around and seeing the sites. You need a basket for echo with a latch on top so he/she can ride along too without jumping out. A helmet would be a good investment. Get one for Echo too. 😻
I spent the first 15 years of my life living at Dawlish Warren. A friend of my father lived and worked at Cofton Farm (as it was then known). (You spelled it wrongly, its Cofton not Cotton). Back in the 1960s what is now an enormous campsite was a working dairy farm. I believe they used one field for camping in the summer. I recognised the church that I saw as you arrived. Seeing how the campsite has developed over the last 54 years is really interesting. Thank you for taking me on a trip down memory lane!
Brilliant I loved seeing Torquay again I spent the summer there a couple of years ago in my camperi think we bumped into eachother at the mead car park you had the vw. Anyway nice to see Torquay again👍❤️
A van, a kitty cat, and an e-bike, that is heaven. The bike looks fantastic, you'll have so much fun. Thanks for putting helpful details like place names in, Meadfoot beach looks lovely.
You talk miggle dee muggle dee but your so real it's unreal I have watched a few of your videos and they make my heart smile fantastic viewing thank you young lady thank you very much ❤
Just reminded me I need me timeout on my motorbike in those places you visited loved it glade you like your bike they are getting better as technology improves 😉👍🏻
Hi Josie this is the second video i have watched you come a cross as very good person having your own business & doing the traveling that great keep it up
hi josie. great vlog. been watching since your t4 days. love your style. just wanted to say hi. keep doing what your doing. more please. i see you sometimes in other tubers vlogs at festivals. want more from you.. 😊❤👍
Hello Josie really good channel just started watching your adventures .Maybe you could visit Taunton in Somerset? We’ve got some great motorhome campsites and you’re surrounded by the Blackdown Brendon and Quantock hills xx ps not far from some lovely beaches as well Charmouth Lyme Regis, Dawlish Warren et cetera
0:25 electric bikes are great, but Echo is the real star of this content. I keep meaning to do Dawlish warren up to Exeter on the bike. I might get the train up to Dawlish from Newton Abbot and take the bike. Only costs a fiver return. I'm feeling inspired!
Well that was a different type of Josie video, bingo instead of a music festival 😮😅. You just need to get a proper bike rack for the back of your van like people fit to carry mopeds or scooters 😊. Enjoy the rest of summer 🌞 x
Cofton holidays/campsite! Lovely place, been many times on my own or with groups of MTB nutters. Great place for bikes, I've ridden the woods right next to the campsite there heaps, loads of cool trails in them, with views peeking out of the woods that reward. The whole of the Dawlish/Dawlish Warren area, has VERY bike friendly lanes that lead EVERYWHERE. Loved your reaction to whizzing about on your newly built adult lego set. :) You'd have probably got away with keeping the bike outside for the night Josie, (I've left my far to expensive bike out a few times there) as the place is never troubled by people looking to nick things. Although I get it might have preyed on the mind having it out there, when trying to catch a good night's kip. Maybe getting a good chain to lock it somehow on to the van overnight might work? I guess a bike rack would save loads of space inside the van and be more secure, but not sure if you'd want to whack one on the van. Plus they do muck about with remembering you've got a bike stuck on the back, when parking up etc. A good lid, (helmet) for your head is a good plan :) I've had a few arguments with trees when riding and with a lid on my head I tend to win out mostly. Looking forward to seeing you zipping about more, both in the van and on the bike! :)
we had two top of the range mtbs cut off a bike rack in broad day light (with top of the range locks too - angle grinder). inside is always best. Agree with you on helmets though - even if you're not going off road
@@motorhomemavericks1 Oh dear, that isn't good to hear. Guess i've been quite fortunate then really at cofton. I know they've upgraded security a fair bit there of late, with barriers and more CCTV, but as you say inside is always best as what you can't see etc...
I thought you were at Lady’s Mile Holiday Park. Looks just like it as I remember it. Maybe they all look the same. Anyway, thank you for sharing. Will get back to the vid now. Peace 🏴
I'm with you on the crusty bread, I always love just buying a french stick and just eating it with some butter on 😂 winter is good adding soup to dip it in too! What a shame you couldn't stay at that site in the end after booking into it too!
Hi, great video. Without wanting to sound too nerdy though, you should definitely get yourself a helmet for when you're on your bike, especially given that your bike is electric and so will go faster than most conventional road bikes. I'm a cyclist and would never, ever go without a helmet. Be safe and keep up the great vids!
Thank you, I did indeed. I had a little help with my father with fitting the bed his helping hand with the panels. Other than that I just get by with what I have for now. I have got what I need and I need what I have got. The adventures await! :)
I always carry a chain and lock my bike to the alloy wheel. saves lifting it in and out. Trust me that bike will go walkies if you dont lock it up every time.
Push your mirror in when parking on side of the road as expensive and a pain to replace 🙄 great vids. I travel with my cat “Lenny” full time in my van. 😻
Did you try Tea Orange Pekoe from Salada? Replacing coffee in these times is a good idea. The peak of coffee would be Keurig and I had to make the switch. There is more boost in tea than coffee.
Did you attach your shuttlecock to the b pivot if you didn’t you may lose your flange and saddle may loosen giving you a sore bottom, hope this helps 😃✌️❤️🇬🇧that bike looks fabulous, will you take echo on an adventure?
It's a nice site that is, despite the only ever time when a dog downloaded itself onto our Pitch. The Brother of the Owner has the Lady's Mile site a bit further down the road, but thats not quite as classy.
Hi, (Subbed and Thumbs up) Buy a Stanley Knife, cut that cardboard box up, pull into a place with recycle bins (like Tesco), and dispose of it. you could have then stayed at the lovely campsite then. I used to live in Dartmouth, Plymouth, Redruth. Beautiful part of the country. Awesome content enjoyed watching, Take care.
Shame it isn't a folder Josie as that takes up less room to store, but yes an electric bike is a great add on for all sorts of things. Exploring and not worry about the long walk back, shopping, riding around towns where he van couldn't get with no parking fees. But as you said get yourself a helmet. Have fun but remember there are a lot bad drivers out there. with little consideration for bike riders.
You should have got an electric Brompton, they’re British made, a fraction of the weight and fold up and come with a carry bag and are about the same price as the American thing you bought. You can store it folded up in the van and take’s up no space. The titanium ones are less than 15kgs in weight - a far more practical bike for your weekending van life videos!
Josie. Dont want to be a spoiler but get a Helmet of some sort. You can reach 30mph or more on that bike and that hurts when you come off! I have a similar Bike and speak from experience! Have fun!
did you have a little tent set up when you parked up at the meadow nr meadfoot beach got this crazy feeling i walked past with the dogs without realizing it was you last week ?
The bike would probably be good off road too with those wide knobbly tyres, even on firm sand. Watch out for potholes though, small diameter wheels drop into them easier than bigger wheels and will plant you on your face.
@@JosieMay26 Cool. You’ve reminded me that when I stayed at Lady’s Mile campsite I’d collected the parts of a dismantled Honda CB-1 (400cc motorcycle) in my Mondeo estate. There wasn’t much space for sleeping, just the driver’s seat (which is all I need), so I was camping in my tent. During the day I was cleaning out the Petrol tank that still had some old fuel in it, making it impossible to be in the car with the windows closed - due to the Petrol fumes…! Spent some time chatting with a retired fireman and his girlfriend who were camping just over the lane. The area seems to attract nice people. Peace 🏴
Great videos! made in my hometown of Torquay! Just subscribed. You must be a local i wonder? Nice bike and Van must be great enjoying the freedom. Got my own channel, for travel vlogging and Drone Videos.
Such a breath of fresh air to see a lovely, smart girl doing it all for herself - and not vlogging rubbish and also appearing to be tatoo free.. wonderful.. I saw you struggling lifting the bike ,( well e-bikes are heavy), if you haven't already done it then take out the battery.. those few kg less might just make it a bit easier for you...
