    Makes me think of my dead dad. A 'goat' if there ever were such a man, but there are a few of us who loved him in spite of everything. Hard as it was. It provides some solace to think that some day it will all make sense. The trouble is that it is on God's timeline, and not mine.

    We have Scriptural confirmation of Catholic belief in the particular judgment in Hebrews 9:27: '" It is appointed to men to die once, and after that comes the judgment". The Greek word for "after" is μετά (metá). This preposition implies "a change afterwards" or "what results after an event (death) or activity" - the result being individual or particular judgment. The general judgment does not necessarily follow death, since it will occur at the Parousia, at which time both the living and the dead shall be judged.

    Dr. Pitre, if we pass the particular judgement, are we guaranteed to pass the final judgement? Like if our soul is approved for Heaven in the first judgement, can we be damned in the second? Or, is the second more just a revealing of the consequences of our actions in the plan of salvation? Thank you.

    So all the apostles and saints will too see their good and bad? So baptism or confession will not lessen this final judgment?

    • @CatholicProductions
      @CatholicProductions  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It would appear so. Baptism and Confession would seem ordered towards remedying a bad particular judgment. Though you'll see the consequences of your Baptism and Confession and what was really taking place in those moments as well in the "Last" or "Final" judgment.

      "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
      " (Roman 8:28) Through this judgment, the saints and we all will have more reasons to praise God for his goodness, his wisdom and his almighty power. As in the gospel about the widow who nags the judge to judge her case, I learned in my Bible study course that it is advantageous for his people that God will finally act for them against their enemies through his judgment. God's judgment is shameful for those who rejected salvation and glory to God and salvation to those who accepted his salvation.

    Fine, but why charge money from those you are supposed to be ministering to? You are imitating false teachers in this way: "3And in a having of more, into moulded words, they will traverse in to merchandise you" [2 Peter 2:3] and we are told "11Beloved, absolutely do not mimic the worthless in character, but the good. The maker of good is from out of God, the maker of worthless character has never carefully stared at God." [3 John 11]

    The only judgements that I know of are as follows. 1.) Judgement of whether or not you are worthy of being resurrected, if you are not then you are dead forever as if you never existed. 2.) This judgement is the same as 1 but happens during the time period of the Great Tribulation. Those that die will die forever as if they never existed. The survivors will gain entrance into God's kingdom on earth. 3.) This judgement happens during the thousand year reign of Christ.This is the time period when people will be resurrected to live in that Kingdom. Those that died wicked and are still worthy are resurrected with a clean slate. Because the wages sin pays id death. Their physical death acquits them of their sins. After getting a clean slate and living in God's kingdom without Satan's influence if those ones decide that they don't want to live there then they are judged unworthy and will die forever as if they never existed. 4.) This would be the final judgement that happens after the thousand year reign of Christ. When Satan is let loose from his prison to see who can he tempted to follow him into destruction. Those that follow Satan will be making the choice to do so as perfect human beings like Adam. The ones that fail that test will die forever as if they never existed. After that no more judgements because those people will have their names etched into God's book of life.

      Ewald Radavich so those two Men are your final authority of what the Bible says? You put your trust in those men who will die and perish and not the Church who has been around since the time of the apostles and will be around even after your two teachers and ourselves pass. Okay good luck with that.
