    Great to see an honest real-world use video with a car like this. Quality is awesome. Also like that it's obvs just you and a camera as opposed to a production crew! Feels very natural and genuine which is hard to come by these days. Keep up the good work mate. From a Kiwi living in the UK.

    5 seconds dead? That’s better than 6.3 AMG level acceleration!

    How effective has the tape been at preventing bings for driver attention monitoring?

    For me, drawing attention is the good point for the Kia EV9 because I prefer drawing attention over blending in anyway.

    The cameras on side mirrors are a huge benefit for aerodynamics.. that’s why all future cars will have them

      Are you sure? I couldn't find anything in the official Kia press kit about that, such as drag coefficient improvements. Do you have any figures?

    I offer one barrel of the finest german beer to the guy who finds a way to get rid of all the beeping permanently. Otherwise, a really good car.

    Hate to think what a replacement door mirror assembly would cost. I was quoted $876 (plus labour) for my passenger side mirror for my GWM Haval Jolion! I reckon to replace the unit on this KIA would be north of $5k..

      Thanks. It wouldn't be cheap! Be interesting to see a modified one though, raised up and on decent tyres etc.

    The main benefit of those digital mirrors is reduced drag coefficient... a bit laughable when you're driving a 2.6 tonne shipping container around

    2.6 tonnes of mass going around a corner on a slippery road? Vehicle weight is becoming laughable. My 1973 P76 only weighs 1250 kilograms and was once considered a big heavy car.

      Yep, pretty crazy. Although, LC300 and Y62 weigh about the same. But they have heavy duty suspension and tyres etc.

    Great content Bret, stupid vehicle has no purpose for Australian conditions. I drove past an EV charging point around north west Sydney and while there were 8 chargers, 5 were off line and 3 were being used by and there was a line of EV's waiting to to use them.
    Screw that.

    Design based on Robocop. No door mirrors. Camera and annoying screens. Dash horrible. Useless tech. Bloody big barge. Eye watering price. All electric. Impractical ugly pig. Couldn't think of any good points.

      @RichardJoashTan 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      THE ONLY GOOD POINT IS THAT I WILL BUY A FULLY LOADED KIA EV9 GT LINE BECAUSE ALL YOUR POINTS ABOVE ARE GOOD FOR ME. AND IT IS NAMED WORLD CAR OF THE YEAR 2024.

      @@RichardJoashTan Good on you. Glad you can afford it. World car of the year because the powers that be want you to embrace an EV future. Has nothing to do with the car. Apart from it being an electric barge. About as environmentally friendly as the Amoco Cadiz. A Trabant is probably more eco. But enjoy. Each to their own.

      Just go back and read all the bs you wrote, discrediting what a fellow human like you did, and the brainstorming might take years before the car came into life.
      Anyways your poor mentality is a dieses and I hope you don’t infect other people in your family with such hate. Calling such car useless tech.
