  • Hello Shiny Crafty People and welcome back! Today, I'm taking you to a fantastic store called Old Time Pottery! With 38 locations across the United States, this is one of those stores where you can find a bunch of everything to decorate your home and stock your craft room, if you're willing to look at things a little differently!
If you like my series of videos about using a pre-made quilt for sewing projects, check out this store. Here's an example of those videos:

Casserole Carrier from store-bought quilt: • Store-Bought Quilt Hac...
I was amazed to find decorations for most holidays, outdoor furniture and cushions, lots of framed art, kitchen items, and so much more. There's even a bunch of great products for storage and organization too!
Here's a link to the bag made from framed canvas art: • Stunning Tote from Thr...
I recorded this video in August of 2024 and the company was in it's first full year being owned by Gabe's, another store chain with more than 100 stores of their own. The Old Time Pottery had changed a bit, with more closeout items in parts of the store, but they hadn't abandoned their normal in-store brands of products. In fact, Gabe's has said they will continue to produce those brands and be able to share some of those to their own stores, while sharing some of the discontinued closeout items to Old Time Pottery as well.
So far, it seems to be working out, but if you're seeing this long after August 2024, things may have changed. In that way, this video may serve as a time capsule of what Old Time Pottery looked like before major changes.
I hope you enjoyed this shopalong with me and, until next time, stay crafty! Bye for now.

I’ve been going to this store for 20+ years and have bought so much! Luckily neither of us has a big suv so everything we buy has to fit into a sedan. Don’t tell anyone, but Brad went back and bought more planters a few days later! lol

This so reminds me of Wacauma Pottery (sp) up here in the midwest.... Been gone for decades. What a great store. Thanks Tim!

I think this actually used to be a Waccamaw Pottery location, way back in the day.

Hi Tim! Glad there's not one of these stores near me today! I'm on vacation in central Oregon. Sewing machine will travel! Discovered I did not bring little cutting mat. Dollar...does not carry them. Off to JoAnn's. Yes, indeedy! Little one 5.5 inches by 7.5 inches. 40% off. Should have bought a larger size, but this just right for this week's projects. So, yesterday we went to Goodwill. They had a canvas frame print of palm trees. I pointed it out to my boyfriend, and told him this is pretty much what Tim used for his fancy tote bag! I didn't buy it, but rather funny to find one. Take care. Marion

Can you keep us updated on Brads pineapple growth? You can do that with celery also.

Can you really? I didn’t know that. Brad’s been very successful with pineapples. Before he moved in he had 20+ pineapples growing! This pineapple was actually from one of his old plants and it was so a sweet and delicious!!
