I bought a mint-condition 48" turquoise leather reclining sofa from the Salvation Army for $65 in 2014. I will install two parallel floor brackets that lock in exactly two positions so the sofa can be set precisely perpendicular to the wall or slid out to recline. There will be no fixtures on the opposite side so at full recline there will be plenty of room. I like the wall-hugger you described in this video but would rather spend the $1,245 difference (with shipping!) on other improvements.

Thanks for your comment and support. One nice thing about these machines you can do so many different ways to do things …. Good luck

I love your videos. As a kid my parents had a 1976 26’ GMC Motorhome that we went all over the place in. Meanwhile, I purchased one about 2 years that I’m renovating. Once I get it livable again I want to get myself down to Florida with it and see what suggestions you’ve got for me! Keep up the good work!

Hey Jim. We are looking to replace both of our driver and passenger seat with air ride seats. I am a truck driver. Sorry I’m used to having air ride Seats in my rig. We don’t need seats that swivel so that’s not an issue. Our particular motorhome had the dual bunkbeds in the front. I plan on making a set of couches that slide out to make one California king size bed. I found a lot of plans online, for the styles set up, I also found manufacturers of memory, foam gel mattresses who offer to order them and custom sizes, including having them cut in multiple pieces.

Been done, you’ve got to bolt to the deck…. It still may be high. Make some measures. My Dad was a Greyhound bus driver, I understand you need….. good luck
