It’s gonna be this way with every big signing. People are going to talk shit because they’re worried that their team now has another serious contender. Tonali is a professional. He’s taken a huge increase in pay, he is still going to play champions league football, and he has joined a project that is possibly one of the most exciting in all of Football. He’s already part of footballing history. He is going to be a bit sad leaving his home town club, no doubt about it. But he is a grown ass man that’s getting paid millions. Once he builds that connection with the fans, he will be an honorary Geordie for life. I’d put my house on it.
I admit, he did look quiet and not every animated on his arrival video - but he was probably just nervous…it’s his 1st day at a new job, he isn’t comfortable with the language and it’s all a new experience for him to take in. Footballers are just normal people like us all, they get nervous, maybe a bit anxious before he arrived, but we all do that when we move jobs!
When you see him meeting Eddie in his office you can see they have had a lot to talk about with each other before he joined, he knows the training ground is being rebuilt the same as the squad. They’re just jealous because we’re coming for them, fast!

It's the same old song and dance. People are scared of the sleeping giant waking up! What kills me is that, after all the depressing years of Mike Ashley siphoning the life outta the club, people have a pop at us when we finally get something good goin. Why are all these other clubs allowed to get big money owners and we aren't? Why are they allowed to make moves and we aren't? Why are they allowed to build something and gain success, but we aren't? It drive's me mental.
The other thing to consider here as well, it's not like Newcastle are breaking the rules to get these players. FFP is very real and Newcastle not only recognize it, but respect it. As for Toonali, he always seems to have an emotionless face on. He's like a sphinx. Even when he won the League with Milan and the Italian PotY award, he had no real smile on his face. That just appears to be who the lad is. I watched the behind the scenes video of him going on the tour and while he showed little emotion, his girlfriend certainly was happy and excited. It seems as if she act's as his emotional bridge. My mum was like that for my late father, he too didn't express emotion like that but she did for him. Also, of course AC Milan has a bigger gym and facilities, they're a much bigger club than Newcastle. On top of that, we just got money to spend on the training ground and renovated it. Give it time and they will make more improvements and bigger.
Lastly, yes I'm sure the money played a big role in coming to Newcastle, but so has the allure of the project. Being an upcoming star at AC Milan is certainly nice. But can you imagine the recognition you would get if you were a pivotal cog in making Newcastle one of the biggest clubs in the world? The project to build the club up the way the owners want to and to have your name cemented in history as one of the players to help achieve that... that's legendary and timeless. Leaving a legacy like that can persuade anyone, even a player like Toonali, to leave his home country and boyhood club at a chance of something like that.

It's best not to listen to these rival fans and media outlets, they are just trying to get a reaction out of us. Tonali wasn't forced to join us, he chose to join us.
There's a good lesson here about spending too much time on social media, Twitter in particular. Step away from it and this isn't an issue at all, it's not even talked about, but stupidity can run rife on these platforms and it's very important that we remember that and ensure we take regular breaks from it to regroup with reality.

I've watched every video of Tonali on TH-cam and he's like the Terminator. He seldom shows emotion. However, his Mrs was beaming like a Cheshire cat on the showaround the training ground and particularly the dining room. As any bloke will know, if she's happy, he's happy. He didn't have to leave Milan. He chose to, as he said in his first interview as a Newcastle player.
Spot on, People piping up about how 'unattractive' Newcastle is to Tonali would do well to Google 'Robinho'. The first mega signing of the new Man City owners on the last day of the transfer window. Thought he was going to Chelsea :-)
People need to watch the proper, full, NUFC video on him on the first and second day ...from him touching down, through being shown the house they'll use until they find their own (it's AMAZING) his lawyers girlfriend ran out to the stone balustrades to look over the stunning garden & shouted to them all to come out & see...breathtaking, seriously. Then to Benton & we get the best view of the training ground and facilities we have seen yet & everyone saw Juliette's stunned reaction to their restaurant but we also see & hear Trippshugging Tonali, they'veplayed each other & know each other , Tripps offered help ! On to SJP next day & the photos were taken , then off on holiday, just like Gordon has been allowed as he was in the same competition!

Watching the video of him walking around it appears to me he is a very calm person not easily over excited. His entourage do seem excited and Kieran said it perfectly if his parnter settles well that will make all the difference. Very contrasting to Bruno who walks around with a big smile on his face all the time. Hopefully both players will compliment each other extremely well. I think he is just waht s needed in the middle of the ark a calming measured influence.

The problem the press have is that there is little or no news coming out of St James Pk so they have to make the news out of nothing. AC Milan’s training complex is dilapidated and old more like a sticky old pub than state of the art.
Newcastles training complex is temporary but still incredibly better than AC Milan’s. When the new complex is completed it will be on par with Man City.
The good thing is that no one knows Newcastles next move until it’s made.

The people who are taking cheap shot on social media are just terrified that we are becoming an extremely well run club. The PiF have extensive funds and yet we are not wasting money. We have made a lot of progress in just 18 months and now have appeared in a cup final and are in the UCL. That terrorizes and inspires envy.
- We have a brilliant coach, and back room staff.
- Our players have not flopped so far and are united on and off the pitch.
- Owners and fans are in sync.
- Dan Ashworth has been bang on the money with his recruitment.
- And we just robbed Ac Milan two summers in a row. The opposition, all they can do is seethe and watch while we go upwards.
