The Tomei has such a buttery smooth tone. It’s not as loud as the straight pipe but it sounds soo good! Makes my mouth water a bit lol great exhaust selection sir

Ha! I have an ExpremeTi on my GT-R (R35), too. Was looking to trade it for a valved exhaust as it's pretty loud at (legal) freeway speeds, but it just sounds SO good otherwise...it's changed my mind. It won me over. lol For now, at least. Maybe I'll swap it down the road, but right now? I LOVE it. Cold starts are NUTS!! rofl
I also have a Z34 and I gotta say, dudes that put Tomei single exits on those need to be slapped around a bit...sounds like a bag of doorknobs on the VQ. Total ass. Fast Intentions ftw. 😆

I got rid of my tomei. On a stock RB it sounds exquisite. Once the elbows/downpipe/cat is changed and there's no silencers, it's obnoxiously loud. People used to compliment me all the time on the tomei but honestly, it's hard to live with.
I can understand that it's too loud for some people. Luckily the car isn't my daily driver and when I do drive it, it's more of an experience for me to enjoy. I've always liked loud cars though. Probably why my hearing is so bad lol.

I have the same exhaust, but still on stock turbo’s. I can’t wait to go single turbo with some cams! My car is so tame sounding compared to yours!

Good luck with your drag racing. If the 5 speed transmission fails you. Upgrade to a R34 Getrag 6 speed and not worry about 3rd gear transmission issues.

Neato, you can't beat titanium. Versus my old school Kakimoto system, my Ganador titanium sounds so much better and doesn't have drone at 3k and sounds even better in the higher rev range since it gets a different tone. I'm used to hearing your straight pipe for so long so it'll take me a while to get used to this. Definitely tamer in a good way 👍

Sounds great! Does it sit quite low or is it tucked up? I have a nasty driveway and my current Fujitsubo exhaust scrapes so I don’t want to upgrade to a Tomei Ti if it’s too low. Thanks in advance, I love your channel!
I don't know if I can say it sits tucked up. I guess it sit's probably the same as other exhausts. Depending on how low your car is, the part the goes under the diff/axel is the lowest part.

Where are you located in Virginia? I’m about an hour from Chesapeake.
September 3rd is when the RB20 in my R32 GTST is getting yanked and being fully built... My goal is also a 10s... I'm not as deep into it as Whistling Diesel, but i'm almost over twice what I paid for it at this point. While the RB26 really is the Godzilla engine... the RB20 still has a chance.
Have you thought about deleting the front wheel drive in the GTR? I don't know what is involved with that, but I've seen R35 GTRs on 1320video that are pretty much only RWD on the stock box. While AWD does help with launching, maybe there's something to saving the box?

Hey good luck with your build! You can disable the 4wd in the R32 GTR pretty easily, but I don't think it would really help the trans as 3rd gear your not really spinning the tires at the track and my power level. Anyway thank you for watching and commenting!
What does the exhaust flange at the test pipe taper down to? Also have you used your QuickJacks at the taperweld?
Tapers down to 3" I believe. I have not used the quick Jack's on the pinch welds. I've only used them in the frame rails while using the rubber blocks. My frame rails were semi squished when I got the car. Using the rubber blocks the frames haven't gotten any worse.
To me tomei seems too overused in gtrs the r32 especially but you cant deny how good they sound im sticking with twin turbos so i went with kakimoto dual exit turbobacks they are music to my ears

Well that's what I'm trying to avoid. 20 grand for a sequential is not an option for me.

@@Goodezilla they look nice, i used to run 295 /15 front and rear on my work trucks, i used to use the Chevy Astro van boy they looked sick.
I'm biased, but can't stand the tomei TI exhaust. Just the most generic exhaust everyone with a gtr puts on their car lol. I personally use a Fujitsubo equal length front pipe, a vibrant resonator, and apexi axleback. Not straight pipe loud, and has a great tone throughout the rev range. I notice the tomei exhausts start to get too loud up top and just sound like a straight pipe.
Yeah I understand, loud exhaust isn't for everyone. I've had the car for 7 years now before deciding to change it up. And coming from straight pipe, I love the way the Tomei sounds!
You can call me a dick and I probably would deserve it, that car is too clean and worth way too much money to have stickers on the back of it, I wish we lived close enough where I could pay you to take them off. Ha ha.
