Hi Robin - I zone clean also. I started this when I retired 10 years ago. I had a housekeeper before that. I have always bean a neat person and never had clutter sitting out but my closets and drawers were awful. With zone cleaning I stay on top of everything. Also, I am older and don’t have the stamina to clean all day so now with a little zone cleaning each day it stays clean with minimal effort. I zone clean 11 months out of the year but give myself every December off since there is so many other things to do. Then jump back on plan in January. I live about 15 from the Gulf of Mexico and today I plan to drive out there and take a look. A little outing will do me good I think. I love your videos and they always inspire me in some way. Blessing to you Robin because you are a blessing to me.
I am looking for a cleaning plan for the time when I’ll retire. I know I’ll need to have something manageable and your post made me want to check this out :)
Another great video Robin! What I love most about you is the care and love you have for your family and keeping a neat clean home! It’s nice when someone seems to enjoy these tasks rather than just doing what they have to ! Not sure if I’m explaining myself well.
Great video. Again! I used to zone clean when I was a stay-at-home mom to my kids. Then I worked outside of my home, retired, cared for my dear, little mother and didn't get back to zone cleaning as well as I should. It works well. You've inspired me to get it going again. Thank you for sharing your zone lists. It was a help to make my own. I'd love to see your weekly cleaning schedule. And, by the way, I LOVE your steel cooked oats that are prepared the night before and finished the next morning. That's my new favorite breakfast, topped with fruit. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Robin, thank you for the wonderful advice on cleaning with a little one! I love the idea of having a plan for zone cleaning each week and then whenever I do get a gap to do it, to do a 20 minute or so power session... And also to make sure I have the basics down!! My grandmother always said that if your tables and countertops are clean and tidy, and your bed is made, your home will feel so much cleaner and you'll feel so much better. I can't wait for our little Peter to share our joy in cleaning! He's already trying to unpack the dishwasher. I loved this video! 🌸
Your video was very nicely done. I believe the best way you can teach your kiddies is by example. And you’re a great example! You are a great example to me, too! A lot of young mama’s don’t even begin to understand that certain things need cleaned. I love your videos.
Great video, Robin. When my four children were little, staying on top of the mess and keeping my house looking presentable was a never-ending challenge. Your idea of tidying up as go through the house also helped me tremendously in those days, and it's a habit I still employ today. Whenever I pass through a room and see something that belongs somewhere else in the house, I pick it up and put it back in its proper place, or at least in the room in which it belongs. This kind of maintenance really helps to prevent the accumulation of clutter. Thank you for the ammonia tip for getting rid of build-up on stainless steel. I'm definitely going to try that. Have a wonderful day!
Thank you Lisa! I am programmed at this point so that I almost never leave a room empty-handed! 😂 I hope that the ammonia does the trick on your stainless steel! Enjoy your Sunday! 💐😊
Loved! Loved! Loved this video. Thank you for answering our questions. Please consider making more of these in the future, it was really great. Hope you and your family have a blessed day.
Thanks, Robin! Appreciate the explanation on zone cleaning and a peek at your lists! Great tips for laundry and cleaning with kids, too. :) (On a side note, I don't know if you have any control over the placement of your ads (where they appear in your videos), but sometimes, they're a little disruptive, in that you'll be in mid-sentence, and the ad will start. If you do have any control over this, I wonder if they could be placed at a normal pause/transition point? If not, I understand! Just wanted to check!)
Thank you Cheryl! I do have some control over ad placement and try to make sure that doesn’t happen. Thanks for letting me know - I will see if I can make adjustments. Hope you are having a great Sunday! 💜😊💐
Love this video so much! You are so ambitious and have lots of energy and you really motivate me. 😊 love the tips for zone cleaning. You have inspired me to get out my FlyLady control journal and use it again. Have a blessed Sunday Robin and never stop making your videos! 💜
Great video! I'm a neatnik too, but even though I struggled to keep my house up when my boys were little, I wouldn't trade a minute with them for cleaning. I do wish I'd taken more time to teach them to clean though! 💕💕
Good morning Levia! I’m getting some bonus time with my boys while we are in quarantine and I’m so grateful. They really do grow up fast! Have a lovely Sunday! 💐😊💜
Great tips my friend! I have to admit I'm not so good at cleaning, but I'm getting better, lol. I do love decluttering though, that is something that always makes me feel better. I need to play your videos when I clean, lol. TFS! Many Blessings! 🏡🌼🌻🌴🌞💕💎
Hi Robin...like i said before yr video is so additive! I MUST clean my hse everyday flwing yr every steps😁. It is tiring but feel so good after that.... 👍🏼 ❣️
Hi Robin!!Thank you so much for this inspirational video!!Have you ever used the Montessori toddler bed when your kids were toddlers?Any of the other subscribers probably?I am in a process of making a nursery room into a toddler room.Thank u in advance!!
Robin, loved the video. Do you remember did you use the ammonia full strength to get the build up off of your stainless appliances or did you dilute it? And did you just wipe it on and then follow with a wet cloth? I'm desperate, if you could give a few more details. Thank you for everything. You are one of my favorite that I follow on TH-cam.
Good morning Robin. I really enjoyed this video. I learned something new about cleaning stainless steel. I would like to ask Robin....how would you clean hard water stains in the shower....I use a squeeze, but the hard water film still builds up. Have a nice day😁☀️
Good morning to you sweet friend & neighbor...hugs from me, Lauren, in Houston! WOW, awesome job & loved hearing your answers! Please stay safe & healthy & tell Austin hello for me XOXOXO
When you wash your extendable duster head in the washing machine what temperature do you use? I know it's machine washable but I've been hesitant to put it in because of the plastic on it and the fluffy fibres becoming matted. I've just vacuumed it off or washed it by hand.🙂
I put mine in on the hottest water setting (sanitize). The fibers aren’t as fluffy, but it still works great. Hand washing will probably extend its life, but for me it’s more convenient to toss it in with my other E-Cloths. 😊💜
Robin, my question is the built up grime, brown yucky soil on pots and pans, particularly bake ware. I have read to soak in ammonia and I've tried that. It does help, but still requires hours of scrubbing. Do you have any answers for this yuck?
Hi Rebecca! That is a good question. I have tried a few things, but all required significant elbow grease. 😄 I will keep trying and will definitely share if I find the solution. Have a great Sunday! 💐😊💜
Rebecca, I have a couple of cookie sheet type pans that I have had for few years and look almost new. What I do after baking something messy like chicken with teriyaki sauce, is after all dinner is cleaned up I put the pan in the sink with blue Dawn and super hot water (not in a sink of hot water but very concentrated with only the amount of water the pans sides will hold and a very generous squirt of Dawn). I walk away and let that soak maybe an hour or two while I'm watching TV or something with the family. Then I scrub it with my regular dish brush (OXO white bristle palm held brush that holds Dawn). This removes the bulk of the mess and then I use a wet SOS pad or Brillo pad on any remaining spots. I'm usually only scrubbing a few minutes and that does the trick. Once I figured this method out some pans were too far gone to save and I replaced them. So far I've had my replacements for over 5 years and they look great. I've also used the wet SOS pad on my Blue Diamond skillet (one of those hard enamel non-stick) after frying something where you get that grease ring build-up on the sides. The wet SOS pad takes it right off. I wouldn't recommend using the SOS pad on conventional non-stick like Circulon or Teflon. Be sure to wet the SOS pad before using it and test it in a small spot first. You can get many uses out of each pad. Hope this helps.
I noticed in today's video and your cleaning list above that there is no mention of Force of Nature. I thank you for all the great products you have introduced me to, and Force of Nature has been a favorite during this pandemic. My order arrived the first week of March, right before Florida went into stay-at-home mode, and I have been so thankful that I decided to order the 25-pack of refills. Seems to me it's a real bargain. So my question is why are you no longer using this product in your vlogs or giving any mention, especially during this pandemic? Is there something I should know about this product?
Hi Ann! I have never used Force of Nature products, and so I’m not familiar with them. I’m glad you were able to stock up on the items you like when so many things are scarce. I hope you have a good start to your week! 💜😊💐
Loved this, i share cleaning motivation too ☺️my channel is tiny at the moment, I love watching bigger youtubers for tips on how to improve my channel, if you have any advice please leave me some! 💗
Hi Kat! Just do what you love and be yourself. It is good to see what other TH-camrs are doing and gain inspiration. 👍 Publishing consistently really helps too! All the best to you and your channel. There is always room for new creators here on TH-cam! 💛🌼💛

Hi Regina! Use the ammonia full strength on a cloth and follow with a damp cloth to rinse -an E-cloth would be great. 😊
