I daily my shaker scat pack! I love it!! It’s a great grocery getter! Keep detailing spray and microfiber clothes in your trunk to do quick touch ups and keep it clean 🧼
I daily drive my Challenger SRT 392. The best ever! A couple suggestions: Weathertech floor mats and a Novistretch front mask will help some of the issues. I’m very happy with them.
There is only one aspect to be careful during daily driving the Challenger ScatPack, especially in GoMango color : so many people greet you and take pictures, you risk to be distracted ;-)) From the other side, it is a lot of fun, no other car can give you these emotions (especially with manual transmission). Yes, there are fastest cars, Challenger is big and heavy, but it is an unbeatable icon, the true muscle car.
Good daily driver for sure as I have 2 of them including a 2019 Wide Body RT Scat Pack. The 2023 is a Last Call and no or little miles. The down side I had is that its a head turner and it finally got stolen from my home. Its best to just drive the Scat Pack on the weekend and have it in your sight at all times. Yes I love the Challenger Scat Pack Pitch Black. I've never owned a Dodge in all my years at the prime age of 73. Now I will get another one as soon as I can....
When I first got my Scat pack I did daily drive it... but due to COVID-19 my job moved us all to being work from home employees and now I prob take it out a couple times a week... I got mine back in January and used it as a daily for about 2 months and since mid March it’s been a garage queen... If you can don’t daily it... take it out and drive it for fun a couple days a week and drive the shit out of it... If I ever go back to being a traditional employee in an office I’ll daily my old Truck and save the challenger for the weekends... Keep the miles down and the vehicle performing at its max potential... That said I do love my scat pack and you made a great choice getting one!
Congrats on getting the scat pack a few months ago! And I agree if you have something else to drive as a daily then drive that and keep the challenger for fun. It definitely is fun to daily drive the scat pack but I’d also prefer to keep the miles down and keep it clean. Thanks for watching!
It depends on your level of experience with driving overall. For a complete beginner the V6 is probably the safest option. If you’re more experienced then go up to as much as your bank account will allow you
Hell yes I own a cleaning service and I use my scat pack as my work truck put on about 20k a year in miles only time I don’t take it is when there’s a lot of snow then I take my wife’s truck I love it
Yeah sure you can daily them and are very comfortable cars to do that with, but it's not a good idea to rack up the miles and am really lucky that I don't have to do that with my SRT8. It would be okay for a V6 or even an RT, but would definitely keep the miles off of the more expensive trims and are special cars that typically hold their value once they get to a certain point as the others continue to drop. I'm like you and baby it around town, but isn't for the same reason and just like to save the big power moves for the drags
Hey buddy, I daily my 2016 Scat pack and it does go to 4 cyl mode if you drive it like a grandma! I do 17 miles each way. So about 35 miles ish 5 days a week. And spend usually between 20$ to 25$ a week. Not bad at all.
Yes if you have the stock tune then it has the MDS (4 cylinder mode), but since mine is dyno tuned I think that took out the MDS for me. And I agree that’s really not bad for this type of car. Thanks for watching!
I think you should take those side-skirts off. They do nothing and collect an insane amount of debris. ZL1 will sell you useless chunks of plastic all day long to take your money. Maybe the stone guards serve a purpose, depending on where you live maybe. Wicker bills and diffusers and huge splitters look awful and do nothing. When I see that, I think the owner has the maturity of a 12yo kid that likes his toy a little too much. Sorry if people are gonna hate on me for saying that but I just think that a clean Challenger looks great bone stock. It doesn't need a bunch of junk bolted to it. And you might guess that I don't like it when people leave the ugly yellow splitter guards on. Oh well, it's their car so they can do as they please. While they're saying how great they think it looks, I just wince and shake my head.
I agree that the side skirts definitely collect a lot of dirt and debris, we all have our own opinions which is what makes the car community so diverse, thanks for watching!
I DD my 16 Scat, wash her off 1-2x a week. Ofc I have a bi-yearly Ceramic done to her. I didn't buy her for the gas mileage and always drive her in Sport in a 42 mile round trip commute to work. 91 fuel always @ 15-16 mpg. Best of all, I drive her like I stole her! I had her at the Stealership for a week and when I got her back went under a 6 lane bridge and had to hear her rawr! HiPo heard me, caught up, pulled me over at 75 mph, had a smile on his face, said he paced me at 93, which I admitted, wrote me a ticket for 79 in a 65, said I had a nice car with a smile, bah, only $135 ticket, well enough in the name of fun! You gotta get you some Weather Techs they're a great investment. Also when you detail her, use carpet film (at a local Menard's/Sutherlands) x2 layers, keep the floors clean year round, especially when you go to trade in for a newer SP. Whatever you take into your SP you take out, it's that easy keeping her clean. Both SUVs hang outside all year while we keep 'Blue' in the garage :). Keep up the good work, KCars, decent vids brother!
@@MG-gc8nn Yeah they do last a while. A close friend details as a hobby and snags mine each spring and fall to touch up. He's gotten quite a few more clients this past year from others who have seen him detailing my car at his residence.
Callitwin ah sweet m8. Was looking around for ceramic coats since i headed great things about em. Got any non-biased brand recommendations? Haha all i can find is people who are sponsored by companies
I’ve only had experience with Adam’s polishes and I don’t have any complaints with it. I just did a video applying their new graphene ceramic coating if you wanna check it out: th-cam.com/video/jCfkHCJYe8k/w-d-xo.html
@@KCars it doesn’t get that bad of gas mileage either. I think I average 15 or 16 mpg. Not great but not horrible either. I drive it in eco constantly though.
Yeah man, you gotta get it in white or silver, always. Or else you’ll see the imperfections right away. But that comes with the territory also of owning a badass cars, people expect it to look 100% ALL the time. If you want bland and no one to notice you, get a Camry or something lol 😂 Cool vid man, thanks
Last 5yrs. Daily drive my Scat. I love every second.
