Maybe the biggest advantage of merging oos and color is how bug free the initial releases and the is in general is. I remember having bugs on my op3, op5 and op7. Oos 13 is the first time ive experienced a major update without major bugs.
bug free? what are u evven saying, i upgraded to a12 and had so many bugs even dimmed screen which is hilarious, on oxygen 13 animations are so slow , putting apps in ram takes ages, apps loads way slower ony my phone, battery is shit, 120hz drops to 60 somehow often , games perf is poor af like thats a joke and many many more. I downgraded to a11 and im so fucking happy like never before

I'd probably go for 13 because of the features. It seems like the only tradeoff is that you give up the Oxygen look completely (and probably a slightly more battery consumption)
Please do a comparison of stable oxygen OS 11 vs oxygen OS 13 since a lot of user are using oxygen 11 as you know the reason...color os merger or that green line issues
I have used both. Oxygen OS 12 is much better in overall usability. Not liking 13 as much.

Looking forward to stable 13 to oneplus 8t, I like the changes and fast update.
I just switched back to 12 stable on the 8T. It's mostly good with more reliable notifications on FB Messenger. The one thing I really hope they fix with 13 is the Android Auto performance. It's noticeably less smooth compared to 11. Same story on my OP9.
13 Beta 1 is very good for a beta. Just as stable as the 12.1 (9 Pro)

A major feature missing since 12 is support for third party icon packs. This was the main reason why I loved Oxygen OS so much. No other stock os provides this.. but now its gone from oxygen os as well. Huh
EXACTLY THIS, I can't stand some default icons and had a lot of custom icons set for different apps, now I am stuck with the default ones .....
You can still use third party icon packs, but you cant use different packs for different apps or change the name of apps

I wish they added a decent weather clock widget. The only one they have now is only text-based, is hardly informative, takes up 1/3 of the screen and when you try to resize it, the text becomes microscopic. It sucks in readability and real estate to data presentation efficiency. I liked my previous samsung's widget way more (OneUI is overall a superior interface).

Android 13 on OP8 is buggy and performance is shitty now. Didnt expected this. I am downgrading to android 12 for what i bought this phone for.
a few question about OxygenOS13 because i simply cannot find it in the settings: (I am using a Oneplus 10 pro)
- how to i get the auto brightness button next to the brightness slider as shown in the video, my phone only has the slider, which means i have to go into settings to enable and disable auto brightness
- is there a way to change the size of the wifi and mobile data buttons in the shelf menu so they are small circles like the rest (like it was in OxygenOS 12)?
- is there a way to make the "back" and "tabs" button on the bottom of the screen reach the edges of the screen like in OxygenOS 12. because now they don't reach to the edges meaning i have to click more in the middle to make the buttons actually work
- is there a way to change the stock clock widget size so they fit in the center of the screen like in OxygenOS 12, because i've tried now and there is none that get centered after changing the size of the widget (i don't want to install third party apps simply to get my clock centered)
I will add more questions when i discover new frustrations with this new software "upgrade"

You forgot to mention that if we hide any apps it will still appear when we search for it in the global search. and now you have to go to dialer and dial the passcode in this manner ( #1234# ) for accessing the hidden apps section. And the hidden apps won't stay in the background if you open a hidden app and switch to another app now if you want to go back to that app again it won't be there you need to again access the hidden app section by dialing the passcode on the dialer. Another thing when you dial the passcode (#1234#) it will remain written in the dialer. Now you cannot adjust the flash intensity and the flash intensity is lowered now as compared to before. The camera app is all f*cked up, color science is f*cked up it white washes the photo, it lacks detail, switching between main lens to ultra wide lens is annoying because you cannot choose between them while recording a video you gotta manually adjust by sliding towards the (-) and (+) which buffers and adds shakey ness to the video. Talking about the image size, the previously clicked photos was comparatively larger than that of now, like it always take approx 5-6 mb when you click a photo from the primary camera. But now it takes just 2-3 mb image size which i personally think that's the reason behind it lacks detail. The flash intensity while recording a video is lowered too, which results in bad video quality in low light. Now you can not zoom in and out while recording a video from the front camera. Front camera is all f*cked up, it completely blow out you face it white washes the subject and specially the skin tone, it feels like I'm using an oppo device. I have an oppo device and trust me there's no difference between both of them. Where, oppo which cost me around 15K and this oneplus9 12/256 which cost me around 55K. And yeah, the battery drain issue is fr. And the font.. that annoys the shit out me. Still everything is okay i can live with that, i will get used to it at a certain point of time but what i cannot accept is the camera quality and features. Man i bought this device because of it's camera and their partnership with hasselblad because they did a great job with the color science back then they improved alot when it was launched. Man I'm frustrated.

Hi... I am facing slight latency/ glitch while swiping down the notification panel in my OP 9RT after installing Oxygen OS 12. I noticed this issue after unlocking the device and swiping down for notification panel immediately. Also, when I apply any new wallpaper on the phone, it takes 1-2 seconds to go back to the home screen. Sometimes I feel the UI is not that smooth. Can you check these issues in your OP 9RT device. I wanted to know if it is because of Oxygen OS 12 or my phone's issue.
