The manufacturer the DLA suggest to used or to buy the items before you bid on it!! That specific manufacturer always give us a hard time saying they have already distribution companies.. can we a different manufacturer? Or it has. To be one the DLA suggested?

This is where the relationship comes into play. You have to think from the MFG's POV. How many RFQs do you think they get from companies when they are on an approved listing... 20? 30? - My suggestion is to figure out how and ask. Also, it has worked with us to show them our past performance and also, when we first started out, to go there in person and meet with them. Even with all of this, there are some companies such as SPS Tech and Howmet, that we cannot go to personally... but in time we will.
How do I properly ship out a 40 pound automotive battery to the DLA?
That’ll come down to the packaging requirements the government has on the contract. If it’s Mil-STD-2073 (probably), that’s a bit more challenging than say ASTM.
@@mendsourcingWhere do they tell you if its astm or mil packaging? And is there certain products that usually use astm packaging?
