มุมมอง 1.8K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
While all RFQs are different, here is the 'go-to' info you should pull from any government RFQ to request your own RFQ to your distributors/manufacturers.
Great Video! What Thermal Printers would you recommend that wont break the bank, as well as tape and dispensers? Thanks again for taking the time to do the video
NICE.
Wao. Thank you.
The RFQ's i've seen are different from the RFQ example you've provided. Is it possible for me to email you an RFQ?
Can you do a video for IFR and how to use the DSL site. I have a lot of questions!
Thank you, Sir - This was very helpful!
Can you make a video showing what to do if the QUP is more than the CLIN
Great video! what is the difference between government first article testing and contractor first article testing on your spreadsheet?
this guy is a saint among men there are companies that screw people over and make them pay insane amounts of money for this info and he blesses us up
For FOB Point: Origin - If you’re using a packaging company would you put the packaging company’s location? 4:10
As an SDVOSB owner and experience as an overseas contractor navigating the DLA space has been challenging. Your videos and info have really cleared up some confusion. Do you offer any mentorship programs? I would appreciate any opportunity to learn more from you.
Hi, great video! I have a few questions on Pre-Solicitation RFP's... 1. The Pre solicitation RFP is listed on sam.gov, how do I search it on Dibbs? 2. Do I first reach out to the contact listed on Sam for the RFQ information? Thank you for your time!
Great video thank you again. Please can you do a video for MIL-STD 2079. Thank you
If we wanted to outsource packaging, is there standard pricing for parts and their qty or does every contract need to be quoted? I ask because it would be easier to keep certain pricing in mind before bidding on contracts rather than quoting every job. I’d like to know more about how that works.
I wish there was, but because of weight and dimensions - each RFQ would have to be looked at separately. You could send an email out to us and we can start providing you quotes. I've had one company go from being quoted $3,200 for a packaging quote to ours at $1,500 for the same job. Just reach out to us and we can discuss.
Can u explain the process of getting approval to review cfolders / technical data . Thanks
JCP Certification! Yes, this is a video that is in the works.
Very informative & understanding ❤ keep those videos coming😊
Thank you! Will do!
Great video! definitely looking forward to one that shows manufacturer research and/or what you guys can provide for us via Mend's.
We're in the process of working on a system where all that will be on one screen ready for you to reach out to your vendors. I would say by the end of the year. In the meantime, I would research and just starting calling. Squeaky wheel gets the grease!
how do you go about finding the manufacturer for a particular part?
I like to look at the procurement history as a start. Then from there, just search via WBParts and looking up the NSN.
I won a bid the other day but now it seems confusing. Can you figure this one out. Clin quantity 48 Clin Unit EA Each Line Item 48 QUP 050 50 Qty per unit container Place 50 Items in its own container when shipping 48/50 items (What would this be?) or is this the correct way?
Easy peasy! If the CLIN has a QTY of 48 and the packing says to place 50 in a bag (QUP050)... just place the 48 in a bag. Make sure the label says 048 EA. If you reach out to us, we can assist with guiding you through that process. Check out our website and we will connect.
@@mendsourcing So the bottomline is that I only need one bag total. Because I'm thinking that if the QUP is 50 and if the Clin was 50...I would only need 1 bag for this order. I guess my confusion is what do I do with the other two bolts. Do I just place them in another bag and ship them out. Thanks in advance.
Do they pay you even if you haven’t delivered the item yet in 30 days?
Not sure what you mean. You will only get paid 30 days AFTER invoicing which is done AFTER you deliver. They do a quantity delivered check on all invoices sent.
Thanks. Great stuff. I would appreciate it if you could make your "Packaging Traveler" available to me. Thanks
Thank you. You did an amazing job where even a baby could understand. I really appreciate it. Amazing!
Haha! Really trying to make this easy. Far too many hold this too close to the vest and don't provide any insight to helping out others. I understand why, but you can find business by showing your value. Hoping these videos provide that type of value.
This is awesome! Thank you!
You're very welcome!
I’m looking forward to more videos
More to come. We try to put these out every week, weekend and a half. Next one is on Tuesday.
@@mendsourcing thank you 😊
Thank you for your videos they are a tremendous amount of help and you explain everything so that it’s understandable.
Welcome!
Would like to see a video on you mark up the parts
I don't understand. Mark up on parts? We receive the parts from the MFG, review parts and documents, then package before we ship out to the Govt. What do you mean, mark up parts?
Will it ever be any uneven amout left to put in a bag that doesn’t match the unit of measure?
Yes. There may be. So if that is the case... so let's say you need to pack 196. We would put 100 in one intermediate box and 96 in the other. The outside label of each of those intermediate boxes would show 100 EA and 096 EA respectively.
Great video do you links to all these tools?
No, but I will be making a buyer's guide video soon enough. Make sure to subscribe. That will be out in October.
@@mendsourcing Thanks!
Sometimes it is not possible to get the specific measurements for the product and even the down loaded files dont have them. What do we do next
Yeah, that is the case sometimes. It won't be perfect information you get at times, but most of the time it will be. When this happens, you need to find an MFG that knows how to make the part and has the print.
excellent vlog. Very helpful
Glad you think so!
The manufacturer the DLA suggest to used or to buy the items before you bid on it!! That specific manufacturer always give us a hard time saying they have already distribution companies.. can we a different manufacturer? Or it has. To be one the DLA suggested? Thank You
This is where the relationship comes into play. You have to think from the MFG's POV. How many RFQs do you think they get from companies when they are on an approved listing... 20? 30? - My suggestion is to figure out how and ask. Also, it has worked with us to show them our past performance and also, when we first started out, to go there in person and meet with them. Even with all of this, there are some companies such as SPS Tech and Howmet, that we cannot go to personally... but in time we will.
Hi, Can I have the excel file I’ll appreciate it
send us an email at sales@mendsourcing.com and I will.
I just submitted a bid following your steps fingers🤞 thanks for the step by step
That is awesome! Don’t stop at one and assume you’ll win that one though. It’s a volume by numbers game. Took us 40 bids to win our first! Now 140+ awards deep, seems like a distant memory.

My pleasure
Please list everything we need to buy to complete this step. Obviously a computer and a printer which printer do you recommend? What sizes boxes? Which size printing labels should we buy? Any popcorn? Etc etc . Thanks! 🙏🏾
I created a plan on the videos that I will be creating for the next few months... this one should be out in October. It will be a buyer's guide. Make sure to subscribe.
Will do. Thank you bro!! 😎 🙏🏾
It took hours to find this video…. Thank you bro!! Stay blessed 🙏🏾
💯🔥🔥💯
NICE..
Thanks
Hello! Thank you so much for this info! What if there is no approved source? Can we bid for any mfr with the nsn?
This would make a good video. Answer is yes, but how to find them is the challenge. Look at previous history and reach out to them. Good place to start.
@@mendsourcing thank you! We’ve also been running into distributors who only offer a COC and after the shipment, and so we cannot move forward once the CO asks for trace to the approved source. So then the search process begins all over again. Anyways, thank you so much for your knowledge. Cheers to winning!
Excellent Content .. Are you able to do a video on the supplies needed for shipping. Thank you!
It’s on the list but it’s vast. Would really depend on the type of shipping you’re doing. ASTM or Mil-STD
FYI the audio is low
I checked. Seems okay, I think. I’ll make sure to check for future videos. Maybe we gotta get better speakers? 😛
🔥 keep them coming

Great info, thanks!
You bet!
Can you make a video with all of the “UI” types and what they mean like HD = 100 E= etc.
Done!
Hey do you suggest getting a professional email address for bidding in dibbs and if so how did you get one ?
When building, it does help to establish credibility over the long run if you plan on turning this into a full scale business. Having a website (small) and an @yoursite.com can only help you.
Why would a vendor NOT want the DCMA coming to their location? My interaction with dcma has always been pleasant
I’ve had mixed reviews personally and know many others that have had that same experience. First QAR we had was terrible, but the last two have been exceptional. But for the reasons why they may not want that is: possible surprise visits, scrutiny on inspections (they rather you have to deal with it), more bureaucracy, etc.
They are not always the most practical individuals.
