- Wrestling legend Bret "The Hitman" Hart talks about his journey in being diagnosed with cancer and how he made it through and now considers himself a "walking miracle". Now he wants to give back, and on June 15th we all have our chance to see Randy Bachman live and donate for a great cause.

On June 15, 2019 PROSTAID Calgary is hosting our inaugural Gala fundraiser at the Grey Eagle Event Centre. It will be a fun night with a four-course dinner, live and silent auctions, live entertainment by a legendary Canadian rock and roll icon, Randy Bachman of Bachman-Turner Overdrive and The Guess Who, and more. The Gala will be held on the Father’s Day weekend - the evening of Saturday June 15th. What a great way to honour ALL the fathers in our lives, not just those suffering from prostate cancer!

In 5 weeks I turn 40. So is 2023 the smart time to begin checking? Thank you Bret for being a spokesperson who literally went through the same thing. You’re alleviating a lot of shame in men’s hearts. I grew up watching you and even though we never met, who knew you’d be around coaching me when all the other men in my life have died. God bless you and your beautiful wife. This is an example why you truly are “The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.”

Terrific testimony, I had radical prostate surgery and am now cancer free. My best friend was diagnosed too late and lost the battle 6 mths before my surgery. So not only did I have the strong support of my family but also my friend's wife. GET CHECKED, even more important if your father, grandad, uncle etc had it.

"All it is, is a butt test". Too true. I've gotten the prostate test every year except for my 40th year because the doctor talked me out of it but for the last few years I demand it. Doctors will be lazy sometimes if you don't demand stuff.
How is the first time asking? Any feelings of Shame or embarrassment? I turn 40 in 5-6 weeks 2023. See my post above
@@83thechaz No, nothing. I asked for it and they gave it to me. Had it done by both males and females. It's one of the things you do because ultimately it's for your health. IMO the worst thing you can do is not do it because you think you might feel shame or embarrassment.
Fck I live in the USA. I have really BAD Healthcare. I always was a Bret Hart fan. Am 39 years old make less then $28,000. a. Year. Fck. But I'll find a way once this COVID-19 is gone I'll listen to Bret message to get tested.
