Do not move the hips after this has occurred and do not move the barbell after establishing the foot position under the bar(about 1 inch away from shins for most people)

    What he said about the 2nd rep being easier is such a good point. After the first pull, you drop the bar straight down which automatically puts you in the right position. It's great to hear someone actually explain it cause I've always known that to be true but never understood why.

    • @pierceheath
      @pierceheath 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because you’re working against gravity and gravity wants to suck it straight back down to the center of the earth. The earth pulls on you and the barbell in a straight line to the center of the earth. Plus it’s really difficult to pick up a heavy load out away from your body.

      Žydrūnas Savickas is without doubt the strongest static lifter of logs, and with superior overhead pressing power would have - if needed - out lifted anyone in any overhead press.
      Eddie Hall was unquestionably the worlds finest executor of the dead lift.
      In fact I think we were spoiled with Thor, Big Z, Eddie, And Shaw in the days where Strong Man was breaking through to become all round bigger.

    Great video! After watching the video a few times, I definitely noticed my deadlift increasing, and, that I thankfully didn't feel my lower back! Big thank you for doing the video!

      I've watched that video several times. I think part of the problem he had the head rush was because they / he held the weight up for such a long time. I'm glad he hasn't given them up. I still deadlift 405 for 6-8 reps 3 days a week at my current body weight of 175. It's a nice comfortable weight. Plust i work ten hour shifts. So my 3 day all in one day power lifting workouts work well for me this way. I borrowed it from reg park.
