My Dad used to play this song every day on the drive to school and it always bring back such good memories. Love you and rest in peace pops, still rocking in your honor
I love the mood of this song, instrumentals, all of it. I discovered this song when i was maybe 15 or 16. This song still sticks with me to this day. Screw genres, it's just beautiful. It brings me to a mood that i can't describe. I love it. I feel nostalgic for a period of time that I used to hate. God. I wish i could go back.
I think a lot of us get that same feeling. I do when I listen to the older albums of my favorite bands like tool, aperfect circle, autolux, radio head and such. Hated those times but man i wish i can do it all over again😌
WELL. Since no one else is gonna, I will. Lyrics --------- I hear the sound of falling love as I wonder where you are Hits the ground with a dead sound know you ain't got far You're too stupid and sissy-like to say that you want out You make the eyes of a million girls and think you'll make them shout Dead sound Dead sound Dead sound Dead sound I used to take you on every time that sparkle turned to black I used to drag you through my streets when you came crawling back Your cheap words that you bought on sale won't help you through tonight You make the eyes of a million girls and think that's what they like Dead sound Dead sound Dead sound Dead sound And now you go through a million girls and try to pick what's right When nightfall comes and you're still alone do you feel it deep inside? It's "oh so cold" on the other side where thoughts can turn you down You make the eyes of a million girls but I see no girl around Dead sound Dead sound Dead sound Dead sound
I'm sure someone before me (probably many?) have noticed and pointed out the similarities between this song by The Raveonettes and the song, 'Cheree', by Suicide?? I mean, if you listen to both even halfway through...... I'm hoping somewhere along the way The Raveonettes stated that 'Dead Sound' was a tribute of some sort, or maybe at the very least acknowledged that 'Cheree' and/or Suicide were an influence on them??? I don't mean to cause controversy. I first discovered 'Dead Sound' by the Raveonettes, and I absolutely love it... but after hearing 'Cheree', it's hard to dismiss the similarity to it's predecessor.
these guys really should be on the sound track to every tarantino movie!that's probably been said before but i haven't seen it posted anywhere!if i knew how 2 edit i would cross-vibe my own clips!
Como, como, como? Vienieron pa' Mexico, joder, ni me entere, no soy muy fan de Depeche Mode pero los Raveonettes me encantan, pero por lo uqe dices no les fue muy bien, ni modos, saludos desde Oaxaca.
OMahGah!!!! is tired of ppl leaving comments abt irrelevant ppl like Justin Beiber and Lady GaGa, just listenin to the music and be happy!! this is what its here for!!!
This video is so deep & meaningful that it makes me cry my ass off. The other one in Tokyo is more colorful and aesthetically pleasing, but this one is simply more meaningful.
@fazelife i don't think she is. she has talent. and being that not many ppl have seen her or rather heard her sing while playing her piano i could see why many ppl like you think the way they do. i think she is a talented young woman. Fuck what she wears or her music videos. We are all a lil weird...some just better at expressing it then others. plus, she had been singing for while now, just barely was discovered, give her room to bask in her success. Its only fair. ~ ♥
Listening to The Primitives today and I realized that the Raveonettes were definitely influenced by them, try listening to Crash or Thru' the Flowers and say that it's not true.
While the Scarlette Johansen/ B. Murry (Lost in Translation) video for this song is more visually beautiful (Tokyo @ night) THIS video is deep with meaning & story. It appears the pretty short-haired blonde chic's brother killed himself in some kind of homosexual lovers quarrel with the brunette boy. That's what I get from it, anyways...
My Dad used to play this song every day on the drive to school and it always bring back such good memories. Love you and rest in peace pops, still rocking in your honor
😥😢
Awe, your dad sounds like he was a cool guy.
💯❤️🙏🏼
My ❤ you
Awesome dad 😎
That guitar style is so awesome nothing ekse in the song matters

Same
Me too.
That pitch that gives the goose bumps.
I’m 17 again!
I still swing my head back and fourth like he does too! Something about the metal head in me🤍
Lol bro. I was in my late 50's when I discovered it
The album “Lust” is a experimental masterpiece,…the extreme “treble-sound” is so challenging for your years and brain….it’s bloody awesome !
Still their best album, honestly. Every track just hums.
Velvets , ronettes, J&MC , Sonic youth
I still can't get over the fact of how amazingly raw the emotion in this video is.
twin peaks atmosphere...Good!
Randomly remembered this band and seeing them perform live. This song holds up and brings back memories
I ONLY Heard of this band maybe 2 days ago.....they are phenomenal!
60's sound. Awesome! And the shermie too. The soundtrack to drive angry brought me to the Raveonettes and I'm 58 years old.
Well, they don't hide that they are deeply inspired by Jesus & Mary Chain.
@@azynkron I did not know that. Thanks for the heads up!
One of the best songs eveeerrrrr
im so in love with this song....sune and sharin are easily the best damn group ever!
This song makes me feel GREAT!!
Cuando quiero ponerme sentimental, vengo a escuchar esta canción 😢
Totally one of their finest tracks they have, it definitely laid the blueprint for what was to come, not to mention their future videos.
isso não é música , é pura magia
Nice Sound
Truly 'A Piece of Art'. This song & video has it all-- beauty, passion, sadness, loss, and despair.
Love this song.
Not a of people know this but this is a classic hit
what a great song
I listen to this and God... I miss a lot my adolescent times.
saw them on 17th at terra vibe park in athens. they were the opening band for depeche mode
This song completely jams!!!!!
great song!
you guys are uber talented. I hope you go really far. best of luck.
i agree on the catch 44 comment. this song is mellowing and uplifting at the same time. and yes, this is coming from a hip hop artist
WELL. Since no one else is gonna, I will.
Lyrics
---------
I hear the sound of falling love as I wonder where you are
Hits the ground with a dead sound know you ain't got far
You're too stupid and sissy-like to say that you want out
You make the eyes of a million girls and think you'll make them shout
Dead sound
Dead sound
Dead sound
Dead sound
I used to take you on every time that sparkle turned to black
I used to drag you through my streets when you came crawling back
Your cheap words that you bought on sale won't help you through tonight
You make the eyes of a million girls and think that's what they like
Dead sound
Dead sound
Dead sound
Dead sound
And now you go through a million girls and try to pick what's right
When nightfall comes and you're still alone do you feel it deep inside?
It's "oh so cold" on the other side where thoughts can turn you down
You make the eyes of a million girls but I see no girl around
Dead sound
Dead sound
Dead sound
Dead sound
This song is so friggen brilliant.
@Rangerteddy I completely agree. The AS version gives it more of a surfer-rock feeling, yet still tortured. An interesting mix you rarely hear.
Why only 183.680 visualizations? It's beautiful!
Genius
I am more than a little obsessed with the song.
I like them
Very Nice Song
BEYOND BRILLIANT!
@SrLahey yes it is!!

Awesome song, awesome video.
Good song for traveling in another universe
The Clarences love & support The Raveonettes!
Who are the Clarences?
@@ModMokkaMatti Hi!!! We are a band that's been around for 16 years out of California!!! xoxo The Clarences
Love it! All the good Fuzz. 😊👍
Just Awesome!
Música Linda! >
Probably the most important music video I will ever see.
sounded great in costa mesa last week
Es una canción que habla del dolor y lo que nadie entiende.

I fkn luv this band! Choonz!
catch .44 was a bad ass movie. Just wish it was longer. They could have fit way more backstory into the movie.amazing song though......
A primeira que eu ouvi essa música foi num filme.
Sublime!!!!!
super
@Rangerteddy It'd be interesting to appreciate the context of character that makes for that preference. I find this version more appealing.
This got a deeper meaning beyond anyone's comprehension ...
Could you explain? Someone sent this song to me. I feel bad because it seems he sent it for a reason but I can't read behind the lyrics :(
best song on earth. great vid, but sadd
Distortion, echo effect to perfection
if u like raveonettes check out the acoustic versions on livedaily sessions here on youtube. they are incredible.
Como, como, como? Vienieron pa' Mexico, joder, ni me entere, no soy muy fan de Depeche Mode pero los Raveonettes me encantan, pero por lo uqe dices no les fue muy bien, ni modos, saludos desde Oaxaca.

good tune, I first heard it on the Whip It soundtrack
@uneed2see crazy, me too!
These Peeps are good! The dislikes don't like music!
Catch44 brought me here too 😉😉
This video is so deep & meaningful that it makes me cry my ass off. The other one in Tokyo is more colorful and aesthetically pleasing, but this one is simply more meaningful.
anyone remember the original one? before this.. it was on a warm & scratchy mix CD with amusement parks on fire
eeyup, I been looking for it on the Internet, hard to find, the original download is gone.
agree
do you know other good music ?
would appreciate... thanks !
The car scene in Catch.44 brought me here.
If you REALLY want to go there.....listen to Brian Eno
" The Big Ship "
Dead sound!!!! 📬
@uneed2see crazy, me too
where did u get the cd?!?!?
I didn't like this song as much as their others when I first heard it... but it's grown on me =)
what youth
Catch .44 brought me here
Same here lad 😁
hahaha me too
Also me😜
Me too!
Me too!😂
Catch.44...
It’s like a cool Beach Boys blended with the band Film School
The dance he's doing is called. " The Shermmy"

A girl just sent me this song. How much trouble am I in?
Listening to The Primitives today and I realized that the Raveonettes were definitely influenced by them, try listening to Crash or Thru' the Flowers and say that it's not true.
The Primitives and Jesus And Mary Chain - for sure.
Daewon Song :)
Daewon Song ... Skate Vídeo..
Lady gaga in a trashcan : long live the raveonettes!!!!!!
@fazelife and there's nothing wrong with that. Good Day Sir. ~ ♥
:]
With the eyes of a million girls but I see no girl around
Ya, go ahead and say I'm a tool, Catch .44 brought me here.
Catch 44
What kinda style is that ghost dude dancing?
If he was do doing straight up and down, it's from the hippi sixties...but THAT is a mix of "most pit" and Orangutan...
White
Special Needs.
Drowning!!!!!
I seen goths dance like that
catch .44

1. Mute and restart this video
2. Open New Tab
3. watch?v=zFF-VkzQb0E
4. Play both at same time
5. ???????
6. Profit
I feel like I’m at IKEA
Feeling like you're in a Fritz Hansen or a Louis Poulsen showroom may be more appropriate here, given that they are 🇩🇰 Danish, not 🇸🇪 Swedish.
Great song but the chiming breaks are a straight rip from Suicide's Cherie.
Jay Z is entirely more metal than Lady Gaga. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
ipod worthy
@justdancemonster HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAA.
5 People dont even know what they are listening to ._.
I don't get it. Did he die, or what?
