Maryam is of arabic origin so the original spelling in arabic is just one way but translated to this alphabet there are multiple ways to spell it and multiple versions may all be correct. the ي can be translated to y or i so Maryam and Mariam are pronounced the same. just to give you another example with the name صفية, the arabic spelling is clear but the latin spelling could be Safia, Safeeya, Safiyyah, Safiye etc. and they are all pronounced the same.
