I bought this one years ago....likely before 'improper annealing' was attributable on the label. I have not reconsidered re-submitting it, since I do not plan on selling it anytime soon. However, this coin would certainly attribute as improperly annealed, and certainly not questionable color. It has passed through some very knowledgeable hands prior to my own, that confirm improper annealing.
@@CoinStuffILike Now days tpgs err on on the safe side. I was disappointed when I found Improperly annealed coins( new ones) sent one to be attributed as improperly annealed and got the label, then a few weeks apart sent more from the same batch I found them and even darker than the first one and came back questionable color. 🤦🤷🪙🤔🤓
@cgrillerstacker6695 I'm not one to tell the US Mint how to bake their planchets, but If Cheezit can offer different crispiness options, then maybe the US Mint can follow? lol
Lamination errors are uncommon in the Ike series. I'm not sure that "rare" is the correct technical term. However, there have only been a handful that have passed through Heritage Auctions 10+ years. I have owned one in the past.
beautiful coin. i'd love to see your whole ike collection in a video. i bet it's amazing.
Thank you! I plan on doing an Ike series similar to what I did with the Carson City silver dollar series. (...and the same for a Peace dollar series)
Nice one.
Why you didn't attributed to reflect the error on the label??🤔, to risky? And the tpgs could return it questionable color?

I really like the look of that coins. Makes me wonder why the mint doesn’t do that on purpose to offer a different finish. 🤔

Thank you, enjoyed and learned. Are lamination errors rare on Eisenhower dollars?
