The day Miki decided to come back to music was a wonderful day for music. too. Her book was excellent and I really encourage everyone to read it. Emma Andersons new record is great as well. So comforting to have these voices back. I hear Moose might be back with the band next tour. Perhaps he's coming by boat...?
Her autobiography is a really excellent book, with some very heavy content (no spoilers, but it's not the happiest of childhoods). Quite surprising, shocking even, if you are expecting a standard rock bio. But recommended and audiobook, despite what she says was very good listen.
Her book was great. I got a signed hardback copy straight from the UK. Couldn't put it down. She's a funny, blunt and honest writer. Talented. I'd love to read some fiction from her. She knows how to illustrate characters really well. Her philandering father, her miserable nazi sympathizing grandmother. They felt like literary characters. Larger than life. I suppose they were in real life.
An ex music journalist friend of mine, Jen is / was a massive fan of Lush. I've just sent this over to her, she will be over the moon with this (: x It's really good from my side too
As Miki says in the interview here, the reason for putting MB3 was that they asked her to play music at the book events. I went to one of the first MB trio gigs and they indeed mostly played Lush songs... It just evolved into a creature of its own. Piroshka is on pause, that's what Miki said at a signing last year, they - Mick moved to the US (if memory serves me right, Oliver Charer replaced him in the 2022 tour) and Justin Welch is very busy with The Jesus and Mary Chain.
Come on peeps it’s over. Miki needs to start gardening or join a group of walkers or something. The rockstar era is firmly in the past now, this video proves that.

Saw them live 10 days ago or so, and Moose definitely onboard.
@@benday1218 That's in England no?
@@Polyfusia indeed! Saw them play in a 100 ticket venue, was cool to be up close.
Moose doesn't like flying, so Mick Conroy filled in for him on the US tour.
Absolutely fabulous performance. Was great seeing Mick play with the band. Also loved Miki's memoir. If you haven't read it yet, you should!
yep got it!
Such beautiful shoegaze/dream pop loveliness ... thanks Miki and the wonderful band for bringing back fond memories
Ions/Éons/Eones waiting for this explicit lovely session and interesting interview. Golden moments of music! Je l'aimé !!!
Saw her in Portland a few days before this was recorded. The audience went nuts for the Lush tracks and really grooved with the new material.
26:42 That bass intro for "For Love" is so damn nice

So good to see her back thanks KEXP
Are You Being Served? Loved that show soooooo good...besides all that...great music here!
My 35 year crush hasn't waned a bit. All hail MB! The world owes you a debt for continuing to share your music.
Timeless ❤
Whatever the configuration, Miki always sounds heavenly 💜
100% behind the shoegaze revival.
Great discoveries thanks to you all at KEXP ❤
Are you being served. Oh my.
remembers me a bit to Echobelly from the 90tth.... GREAT
Lovely.
Good Stuff...Good to see Miki again but I missed her in Portland
Same voice from the 90's. Brilliant! I miss the drums in "For Love" anyway.
Long life 👽

i love the other guitar player’s energy. I’d love to see Piroshka or MB3 come over to Australia someday. If only.
If you like his energy, you should check his band Aircooled! It's such a fun live band.

I’m with Moose. I don’t like flying either.
ubique
No regular drums?
A little confused. Piroshka is over? It's just MB Trio now, as in that will the band name on the next album?

"shortly after left behind is death" 😂
I laughed so hard when I first heard this on the audio release. 😂
What is that 12 string Miki is using? Body looks like a Fender but not sure
12-string Stratocaster.
Top notch song writing and performance. We are spoiled.
no Moose? No problem!
I hate it when the sound of the hosts voice ruins the music

They sound good to me. Better than I expected actually.
Nothing new musically... Unlistenable voice, lacking vocal technique and emotion.
Forever Lush
