- Let's talk about Star Crossed today! Just fyi, guys, I don't know where these are/will be sold around the world. I live in the Netherlands and I bought them on Douglas. I cannot give you any further info, since as I mentioned in the previous video, BB releases seem to be pretty random.
My Starcrossed palette arrived today along with some of my BB haul, and I’m so glad you did this layering look, because it really shows a different side of the palette. Love how the blue shift pops and goes with your shirt.
I can’t wait to play around with it a bit more and really see what it can and can’t do. How are you enjoying it?
@@mariam.a. I tried that layering today, and didn’t get quite as much blue as you, but I had to go pretty easy with my makeup today, as I was going to the dentist. Seems my eyes usually water or I get stuff on me there! My warm and cool glow palettes arrived today in a box labeled, ‘dangerous goods’. Seems they know how dangerously good looking I’ll be in this makeup! 😂

As a super pale person the Bobbi Brown mattes are a great find as they are not too pigmented for my current preference of a lighter eye. I was a huge Bobbi Brown lip and concealer user when I was younger but hadn’t even considered anything from the brand in over 10 years. The baked eyeshadow and face powders are really impressive now.
They do indeed make a lot of face products in the baked gelee formula as well. I am dure they are beautiful too!!
That's a lovely look. In the phase I am now, I do prefer punchier pigments. I am so recreating this with PMG shadows! The brown from Ritualistic Rose and the duochrome shade from Subliminal 🤩

Thanks for teaching me about the different kind of eyeshadow formulas, esp the baked ones - I only first understood the differences from B.O.B and then from you - you two seem to be the only ones talking about how formulas are different and not just color differences - I want too know ALL these details, bc I can already see the color of the product from promo pics … well, “sometimes” promo pics are ok enough to show the right color, lol … but now I’m fascinated more about the texture … but also, I’m wondering about the secrets of this one Italian lab making all the awesome baked shadow 😎 - interesting 🧐

At the risk of sounding mean, I think it’s embarrassing to call yourself a full time reviewer of makeup and never ever mention textures and formulas. That means the review remains at a very superficial level. I mention these details because as a youtube consumer I am so frustrated at the lack of detail.

Okay…I LOVED Milky Way, but I might light Star Crossed even more because it’s a bit more unique to my collection, shade wise. (Although I have every Pat similar shade 😂😂)I am completely down with having the less amped up shades as choices! I really hope they restock! But given how often they re-use shades in their palettes at Bobbi Brown, some of these will surely come up again!
Either way you will eventually be able to get them so hang in there!!
Thank you for comparing swatches of the matte shade with the PMG Bell of the Ball. Bobbi Brown palettes are tempting, but will pass since I already have so ,many PMG palettes. The look you created is beautiful, as always,

@@mariam.a.The collection has been just released today in Italy. Since I won’t buy any Pat or Suqqu, I decided to buy Star Crossed. I would have bought both of them, but I want to put some restrictions on new purchases

Mariam, I loved finding your channel. Your taste in makeup is pretty similar to mine nowadays (It took me a while to get to the luxury makeup... I was mostly dipping my toes on some higher end here and there with still some e.l.f mixed in - although to elf's defense, they have some good stuff lately - but once I bought a Tom Ford palette there was no turning back). I wanted to say I ended up buying Imperial Moon and Royal Jungle from Guerlain after seeing your reviews and oh my god, do I love them! Im not a big eyeshadow palette person (quads are more than enough for me, Im much more of a one and done) but they are dummy-proof! You can one and one them, two-and-done or use the whole thing with such ease! Im loving the formula!. Next thing Im gonna try out that I see you rave is the Gucci blush in the Warm Berry shade.

Coincidentally, I am wearing Warm Berry in this video. The Gucci blushes remain unmatched in my opinion within the luxury blush realm.

Really depends on the retailer. The one where I shop has sales relatively often.
We had one Bobbi Brown shop in a mall and is closed definitely 😅 Between the 2 palettes, the star crossed palette is appealing... but in the same time, i have Mothership I so i'm in 0 rush to buy it. If i'll see it in Douglas & with a discount on it, it will be my travel pallette for sure 😁
Yes definitely get it only on sale and if you continue thinking about it by the time it’s available to you.
Hi Mariam jan, I love the look, it is really stunning. I would off use the light shade "Stargazer" as a hi lighter on the brow bone, ore as a base colour. It is such a subtle shade, I think it would be nice. I ordered the " Star Crossed" pallet, and I'm pleased to see how beautiful it is on you. Thank you, and greeting from Melbourne Australia.🤩🤩🤩

@@mariam.a. Hi Mariam, I received my pallet, and I don't think "Stargazer" would work as I was imagining. It's too sparkly, would be nice on the inner corners though.

There is only one similar shade that you can see swatched in the video I did with Milky Way.

@mariam.a. bought it ans received today but haven't tasted it yet. Honestly I got it only for he pink color with golden duo chrome. Idk if you remember their collection a while ago with the color solar wind. I have it and I love it so I hoped colors would be similar. I love pinky-golden duochromes
I wonder what other brands make baked eyeshadows in this factory in Italy. Because they can't keep their business If they only supply for Pat McGrath and Bobbi Brown...
Excellent question! No idea. I do however think they make more than just the baked formula so plenty of other brands make eyeshadows there. It’s just that they probably hold a patent on this specific baked formula. I think TF might be a customer there among many others.

Apparently they are currently working only available in a few countries but they might just show up a bit later.
I'm that person who doesn't like the punchiness and high saturation of Pat's special shades, that's why I'm very excited about this palette from Bobbi Brown. I hope it comes out eventually in other countries... Thank you so much for extremely helpful comparisons!
