I am new to your channel. I am Caucasian and my husband is American-Mexican although he is American he also has a past with DUI charges. He has since been sober for 11 years. He is a felon but it does not define who he is and neither does your husband’s past define the good man that he is. We have many friends here that work for my husband that are trying be here legally but it’s not easy to find good attorneys and it’s very expensive! I am happy to see that every thing has worked out for your family. Life is not cut and dry. We all made past mistakes.

My dad also has a DUI and an aggravated DUI in the past and yet he is the most loving, supportive father to me my entire life. His childhood was not the easiest but even despite that, I never expected perfection out of my parents, just for them to be there and they were. Fidels mistakes do not define him.

I give you many props for that. I was married to a Mexican National as well and remember crossing the Frontera back to the US waiting to see if he would make it back across. They're a lovely family, they're building their forever home in a country many disapprove and see as "a country with no future" especially while comparing it to the states and what the media has made them believe. So, my guess is, they see they're doing great and are happy so they can't comprehend how they get to be happy and those people who tried to hurt them aren't. Because someone who is happy with themselves and their life would NEVER have bad intent towards someone who has done nothing wrong to them. That's my best guess. I've seen it before, my SIL is not happy at all and she has said things behind our backs that are complete lies just for people to have a wrong idea of us. These people are out there and are abundant unfortunately.
I’m Canadian and just stumbled upon your amazing story today. It’s breaking my heart to see the terror being inflicted by deportations and I am so happy you are willing to support people. It takes an amazing amount of courage to be honest about your past and it’s a wonderful lesson to your children and they deserve the very best of you. I grew up in an alcoholic home so it’s a trigger for me so I hope it’s no longer a negative influence in your life but I am so happy to follow your story as Mexico holds a soft spot in my heart.

I don’t know how long I’ve been following you on TikTok, but I recently found your TH-cam channel because I was curious and looked it up. I first of all want to tell you how much I appreciate how descriptive you are in your Vlogs and in your TikTok videos. As someone who is completely blind, it makes it so easy for me to follow along so thank you very much for that. I am a son of two immigrant parents from Mexico. Being that I was born in Mexico and then brought to the US a few years after in the early 2000s, I completely get the struggle that Fidel faced being undocumented. It’s now 2024, eight years after we started our legalization process and we barely just got our work permits. It’s definitely a struggle. Thank you for being so open and honest about your story, y’all definitely did not need to do that. But now, at least you can go on with your lives comfortably, knowing that nobody can pull anything on you even if they wanted to try. It’s all out there, and you set the record straight. As far as your husband‘s record goes, life is all about learning, and even though y’all are older than me, I’m at that age now where I’ve also done some things that I’m not proud of. It’s just a part of being human. I have so much respect for people like him, just except his wrongdoings, gets back up, and tries again the next day. That’s exactly how you’re supposed to live life. The enemy only wants for us to dwell on our past and think about all the things we Should’ve, could’ve, would’ve done, but didn’t do. But the good Lord says to just keep on going. I pray that you and that hard working man and you’re two kids have nothing but blessings and that the Lord always be with you guys. Once I’m finally able to, I would love to visit Mexico sometime, especially the area where y’all live. It seems so wholesome and just peaceful. I have to say I was very surprised by the news, however you guys never lied, but chose not to share that part of your lives with others, right away. These kind of mistakes we often make are painful and usually we want to leave them behind and never think about them. They come with a lot of shame and we have a hard time forgiving ourselves. Having experienced deportation within our family, I can truly say that it is a very sad and scary situation. I can say that as an American, we truly do not understand their struggles to get here for a better future. The struggles and dangers that they go through just to come back for their families are real! You guys are amazing, and everyone has a past. No one is perfect! My family was in a similar situation. My father fought his charges and hired a lawyer and some of the charges were expunged but it was expensive. We were able to obtain our residency in!1986. I am new to your channel. I am Caucasian and my husband is American-Mexican although he is American he also has a past with DUI charges. He has since been sober for 11 years. He is a felon but it does not define who he is and neither does your husband’s past define the good man that he is. We have many friends here that work for my husband that are trying be here legally but it’s not easy to find good attorneys and it’s very expensive! I am happy to see that every thing has worked out for your family. Life is not cut and dry. We all made past mistakes.
What an example of maturity and growing together as a marriage. Through ups and downs, it is from a loving and empathetic heart that we forgive and work through all marital trials for the family.
I got emotional when Fidel said there was no way he would leave Diego behind because his parents taught him to never leave your kids behind without a father. The sacrifices that we as parents have to make sometimes are difficult decisions and when it comes to our kids there’s nothing that could stop us. My dad also has a DUI and an aggravated DUI in the past and yet he is the most loving, supportive father to me my entire life. His childhood was not the easiest but even despite that, I never expected perfection out of my parents, just for them to be there and they were. Fidels mistakes do not define him.

Candace I started to listen to your story but then stopped. You know it's no bodys business what happened with Fidel. It is a very hard life for any immigrant and there are many struggles as well. You do not owe any one any explanations. There will always be haters. Don't let them occupy space in your mind. Talk is cheap. You as a family have decided to make your life there. I give you many props for that. I was married to a Mexican National as well and remember crossing the Frontera back to the US waiting to see if he would make it back across. Time passed and he was able to get his papers. Unfortunately for me once that happened he left me and our son. Any ways you stay positive and keep God in your life. They're a lovely family, they're building their forever home in a country many disapprove and see as "a country with no future" especially while comparing it to the states and what the media has made them believe. So, my guess is, they see they're doing great and are happy so they can't comprehend how they get to be happy and those people who tried to hurt them aren't. Because someone who is happy with themselves and their life would NEVER have bad intent towards someone who has done nothing wrong to them. That's my best guess. I've seen it before, my SIL is not happy at all and she has said things behind our backs that are complete lies just for people to have a wrong idea of us. These people are out there and are abundant unfortunately.

I don’t know how long I’ve been following you on TikTok, but I recently found your TH-cam channel because I was curious and looked it up.
I first of all want to tell you how much I appreciate how descriptive you are in your Vlogs and in your TikTok videos.
As someone who is completely blind, it makes it so easy for me to follow along so thank you very much for that.
I am a son of two immigrant parents from Mexico.
Being that I was born in Mexico and then brought to the US a few years after in the early 2000s, I completely get the struggle that Fidel faced being undocumented.
It’s now 2024, eight years after we started our legalization process and we barely just got our work permits.
It’s definitely a struggle.
Thank you for being so open and honest about your story, y’all definitely did not need to do that.
But now, at least you can go on with your lives comfortably, knowing that nobody can pull anything on you even if they wanted to try.
It’s all out there, and you set the record straight.
As far as your husband‘s record goes, life is all about learning, and even though y’all are older than me, I’m at that age now where I’ve also done some things that I’m not proud of.
It’s just a part of being human.
I have so much respect for people like him, just except his wrongdoings, gets back up, and tries again the next day.
That’s exactly how you’re supposed to live life.
The enemy only wants for us to dwell on our past and think about all the things we Should’ve, could’ve, would’ve done, but didn’t do.
But the good Lord says to just keep on going.
I pray that you and that hard working man and you’re two kids have nothing but blessings and that the Lord always be with you guys.
Once I’m finally able to, I would love to visit Mexico sometime, especially the area where y’all live.
It seems so wholesome and just peaceful.
The media does definitely portray Mexico in such a bad way, there’s bad places all over the world.

I have to say I was very surprised by the news, however you guys never lied, but chose not to share that part of your lives with others, right away. These kind of mistakes we often make are painful and usually we want to leave them behind and never think about them. They come with a lot of shame and we have a hard time forgiving ourselves. I admire you had the courage to face thousands of people and opened up your heart to us, even more. Thank you! often times, our struggles end up becoming a blessing to humanity, and I see that by the community service you do, with the families and the animal shelters! Having experienced deportation within our family, I can truly say that it is a very sad and scary situation. I can say that as an American, we truly do not understand their struggles to get here for a better future. The struggles and dangers that they go through just to come back for their families are real! You guys are amazing, and everyone has a past. No one is perfect! I agree that explaining yourselves was unnecessary. It did not change a thing. I personally think Candice and Fidel, you guys are amazing for what you have done for your family . Not everyone would be able to do that! I love watching you guys prosper and grow! Echele ganas!!!

I totally understand your story! I know how hard it is! My Husband and I have been in the process for 18 yrs. My husband also had a DUI That started his record. We have 4 kids. If it comes down to us having to leave. You and Fidel are an inspiration for us. I have been bendge watching your videos of how you live in Mexico. My husband has a house built in Mexico he built for his father because his fathers home was falling down. We hope to take vacations and stay in the home after he gets his papers. The way things are going right now. We may have to live in it permanently. You give me hope that I can survive in mexico. Though I know I will miss Home, My parents and my sisters terribly. I wish y'all all the Best in Mexico. Your New home is Beautiful! It will be even More beautiful when finally finished!
Mi esposo vivió en USA por 27 años, yo lo conocí hace más de 16 años y el cómo Fidel y como muchos otros paisanos pasó por cosas similares pero eso fue cosa de el pasado cuando yo lo conocí el había regresado de Mexico recientemente y desde el primer día que lo conocí supe que el era la persona con la yo quería estar y los errores que el cometió no lo definen como persona. Ahora ya estamos viviendo nuevamente en Mexico, nos regresamos hace 2 años, afortunadamente no fue el casa para mi esposo nosotros decidimos regresar y disfrutar de el trabajo y el esfuerzo de los últimos 16 años, somos muy felices y no hay día que no me levante y de gracias a ese hermoso país por habernos dado y enseñado todo lo que sabemos y somos hasta el día de hoy, gracias USA y Mexico.

I just came across this video. To be honest i watched a few minutes and i didnt feel the need to continue. Everybody has a past, everybody. I think alot of his stress was from being in the US. Look at him now. Look how happy he is. He loves you with all of his heart. He adores his children. May God Bless all of you.

My family was in a similar situation. My father fought his charges and hired a lawyer and some of the charges were expunged but it was expensive. We were able to obtain our residency in!1986. I was born in Mexico and became US citizen 2 yrs ago. I started following you on TikTok and love your story. You have a beautiful family and I am glad you are together in as a family in Mexico.
