No such thing as reverse discrimination...ITS JUST DISCRIMINATION. IT HAS ONE NAME...ITS CALLED RACISM. Reverse discrimination implies only one side has the ability to be racist and if somehow it is reversed is Orwellian double speak.

You are partially right. There is no such thing as "reverse discrimination" but that is bcuz it doesn't exist. It is purely an expression of those who want to play victim. Instating policy to explicitly address explicit harms to Black Americans is not discrimination or racism. It is simply the right thing to do.

Hence, Greenwood, Rosewood, Ococee, etc. In addition, police brutalization, disparate sentencing, and underfunding inner city schools. All based on...race. If we ignore the problem, history has told us that it doesn't just go away. Certain people get hurt and others benefit.

One of the stupidest arguments I hear is that noting someone's race somehow detracts from viewing them as "individual human persons possessing dignity." General statistics about company demographics are useful in understanding the impact of legislation targeting minority communities. Even if he disagrees with "reverse discrimination," data collection of this kind in and of itself is a useful metric to help with state governance.

But do you understand why they developed these two programs? Black people were denied the right to go to certain schools, employment, housing, and bank loans. Affirmative action was developed so that they could have a chance to prosper. You can’t like MLK and then say you hate affirmative action. He fought for the civil rights act. Just so you know the civil rights act and affirmative action wasn’t just for Black people. Affirmative action was also for WHITE women. White women were finally allowed to open bank accounts, credit cards, their own businesses, and have employment opportunities. Affirmative action worked in areas of society were white people were the minority such as HBCU’s. Stop listening to the noise and research how a program can benefit you. I find all too often white people fight to have their own freedoms taken from them, simply from a lack of knowledge.
