It's a pretty regular thing around where I live with traffic usually stopping both ways... until some wanker in a ute see's both lanes stopped on a two lane highway and decides he will just blast over "double lines" and around the cars and over the ducks. :( You would think that was a one off thing, but I've seen it twice and both were ute drivers.

The big mistake they made is pulling up directly behind them. Always stop ~30m ahead of the vehicle and jump the barrier to walk back This way you don't drive over debris, your car vehicle is less likely to be the one that gets rear ended, and there's no hindrance to emergency services when they arrive!

Truck drivers have enough to contend with on our "roads", bad truck drivers are fortunately in the minority. Hey for anyone wondering in the one at 0:50 seconds I tried to get out of the mini coopers way but the guy I was overtaking sped up next to me I tried indicating over but he didn't budge you can see me start to pull across but he didn't budge I wasn't trying to block the right lane cause I hate it when drivers do that to but I had no where to go.
If the car in the left was doing 85 and as you try to pass him he goes up to 100 then you have some choices. One option is to put on the left signal, slow to 90 and then move in behind the moron and stay at 90. This might seem strange to other drivers behind you, but is in fact consistent driving from you.

The car that hit the truck at 19:36 would of been made to pay for all damages to the truck and their own car. LESSON: Don't overtake trucks when they are turning as you too will have to pay for all the damage to the truck and your own vehicle.
Not saying you're wrong as it seems like you're speaking from experience, but seems unfair to me since the turning lanes should have been wide enough to allow for a truck and car to turn at the same time without collision. I would have thought it's actually a Council problem (or whoever approved the intersection to be built) for allowing the intersection to be designed like this in the first place, and I reckon it should be up to them to pay for the damages.
@@HDic3 Pretty much every double trailer will cut a corner, so it is part of the driver training that you do not cut inside the corner of a truck taking a sharp turn, because that second trailer will drive over you. Truck turning, wait for it to finish turning, then go, or you will end up paying for the damage to his truck and your car.

a handy tip to driving in wet weather don’t press on the brakes too hard do it smoothly and you will notice the speed it dropping a smooth pace and also if you lose control of your car don’t over correct or otherwise you will crash especially on wet roads
If you are in the wrong lane, sort it out later. Don't be an arsehole and cut people off or barge in. I got off the Mitchell Freeway too early as I was in the wrong lane. Who knew you could have two lanes going off a freeway? Wasted at least half an hour of my life driving about Northbridge trying to find a park so I could work out where I was and how to get to where I was going.

I love that it is called the Railway Roundabout when it is not actually a roundabout (controlled by lights) and there is no railway! (Yes, I know there are historical reasons - but still, just adds to the confusion.)

The car that hit the truck at 19:36 would of been made to pay for all damages to the truck and their own car. LESSON: Don't overtake trucks when they are turning as you too will have to pay for all the damage to the truck and your own vehicle.
Not saying you're wrong as it seems like you're speaking from experience, but seems unfair to me since the turning lanes should have been wide enough to allow for a truck and car to turn at the same time without collision.
I would have thought it's actually a Council problem (or whoever approved the intersection to be built) for allowing the intersection to be designed like this in the first place, and I reckon it should be up to them to pay for the damages.
@@HDic3 Pretty much every double trailer will cut a corner, so it is part of the driver training that you do not cut inside the corner of a truck taking a sharp turn, because that second trailer will drive over you. Truck turning, wait for it to finish turning, then go, or you will end up paying for the damage to his truck and your car.
@@HDic3 I've seen many intersections that turn from a two lane road into a three lane road where the truck could go almost to the other side of the intersection before turning and still touch if not cross the line. I'm going to be blunt here and say if a truck's turning back the f*ck off

@@Kardash_xx Truck would not have made it around corner without hitting traffic lights on the street that he was entering. It is not a requirement to take up 2 lanes. Please learn road rules and how to drive a truck before you comment
If only someone invented some sort of contraption that is attached, but not fixed, to the ceiling above the dash and front windscreen area that when you pull said contraption, it can swivel into numerous positions to help aid in visibility during day light driving. If only.

Here in the UK we have what's called a Postcode Lottery - depending on which police force you report dashcam incidents to (some with online reporting tools/websites) will depend on whether action is taken (even if they include online reporting) - my police farce requires a written statement in legal (court ready) jargon (aka they want to discourage reporting so they can dance for tiktok or arrest someone typing hurty words online with 4 cars/7 officers)
Just a PSA to those who haven't thought/questioned it - try to readout the rego (if your dashcam catches audio) yes dashcams have improved but you'll still see many clips where rego is unreadable

We've seen plenty of action at this intersection. Too many don't bother looking at road markings. Or anything else, for that matter. Are their eyes are painted on or plastic buttons?

2:49 Given we were in 2 accidents on this roundabout when I was a kid (neither our fault) I'm surprised it doesn't show up every week in a video.
a handy tip to driving in wet weather don’t press on the brakes too hard do it smoothly and you will notice the speed it dropping a smooth pace and also if you lose control of your car don’t over correct or otherwise you will crash especially on wet roads

The number shown in the top centre is the VIN. A quick google shows the vehicle as being a 2022 BYD Atto 3, which has a built-in dashcam.
If you are in the wrong lane, sort it out later. Don't be an arsehole and cut people off or barge in. I got off the Mitchell Freeway too early as I was in the wrong lane. Who knew you could have two lanes going off a freeway? Wasted at least half an hour of my life driving about Northbridge trying to find a park so I could work out where I was and how to get to where I was going.
For the Americans, that's how little trouble it is to keep the drunks off the road. A 30 second stop and we're on our way. We think it's worth it.

Yeah I know man it scared the shit out of me. As the the car I was overtaking on the left had sped up next to me so I couldn't merge back then that mini just sent it around my outside and continued around my dad in the car in front to around a blind bend

Not sure about the filming but a person stopping a car in the middle of a road is a common way to begin hijacking a vehicle. His cousins were probably behind a bush or around the corner ready to act.
