- Here's a solo piece I wrote inspired by this wonderful design collaboration with @ernieball MusicMan. This thing came out killer and I can't wait for you guys to get your hands on one! Head over to www.music-man.... to pre-order!
Cheers!
I never thought I´d see the day Tosin Abasi rips a pentatonic lick
Maybe been hanging around with the polyphia guys when he wrote that one
@@lasagnasux4934 he's been taking private blues lessons few months prior
Never disregard the pentatonic; it's the world's most popular scale for a reason.
@@mikefearon3577 most versatile as well
There’s a couple penta licks throughout their catalog. Usually interspersed with more spicy stuff so it hits different. Javier the other guitar player is really good with more soulful stuff like that as well
That last chord is heavenly
IKR!
Just saw AAL play for the first time 2 weeks ago and it was a transcendental experience. What a band.
It's insane live. Have seen them 3 times and each time was phenomenal. First time in 2009!
I still can't help but love those good ol pentatonic licks just sooth the soul
His phrasing is phenomenal.
LOL sounds like random notes, sounds like noodling.
@@ronmax6220 Give us your top 3 tracks Melvin. Help us validate your takes unless it's just 0/0 bait.
Thanks Rick Beato for lettin me know about this amazing artist, im freaking loving this dude
This is pure art my appreciation is inconceivable
This has the perfect amount of grit and dirt. Mixing in that janggly sound and clarity.
Amidst millions of players, tosin truly did carve out his own unique sound. One of a kind.
I love Tosin, but his sound is just a lot of well established classical concepts that used to be as popular as pop music is now. If anything, I view him like a musical historian breathing new life into old concepts.
@@reboooot lol you can say that about any musical concept, that all artists are just breathing new life into what has already been established, but there has not been another musician in history that has propelled so many other musicians to take up a number of diverse techniques and approaches to an instrument like Tosin has. "historians" don't inspire like that. Pioneers do.
Id say tim and les claypool(although a bassist) are equally as unique.
I always wanted to get better at guitar until I watched Tosin. The spot has been fulfilled and I can be at peace 😅😭😂😂🧡🧡🧡
true. i can feel the opeth influence
Beautiful playing as always my guy. Although honestly, I’m still perplexed by the existence of this guitar, and even more perplexed that it doesn’t come in an 8 string model…😅
Same. Tiniest multiscale fan ever. Only 7 string. Seems very limited in what it can do for an exhorbitant price. The whole project is like if apple designed a guitar.
@@boarderking133 I think it's for blues doctors who want to feel "modern" :D
Completely agree. Love the aesthetic, but functionally pretty pointless.
My guess is Tosin wanted to present something a bit more approachable for anyone new to his design aesthetic. He probably was curious to see if he could work out something with one less string on it LOL. If there's enough demand I'm sure an eight string model will come to the market.
might be a research phase thing? But Abasi has his own guitar, so what gives? Who knows.
Enough with the 8 string sound. It’s so 2010. If I hear one more 8 string down tuned riff again I’m gonna lose my mind.
Chord progression starting at :40 slaps so hard
Legends keep being legends, so beautiful, thank you for making this world beautiful with your awesome music!
Kind of a nice change of pace to hear him play something slow and soulful.
Tosin is probably the only guitarist I can think of who could have the demeanor of a formal-educated elite classical musician if he wanted to and I'd get it and not think twice
Robert Fripp's been doing that one for fifty years.
And Tosin already does it as well: Although he dresses like a rock star - an understated one - he doesn't really seem to act like it. For him, as for Fripp, it's all about the music and he does the Big Time Music Biz stuff reluctantly or not at all.
I mean he's doing proper classical guitar posture here :), also his custom models seem built with sitting that way in mind.
@@Baribrotzer This is an interesting point. I just saw AAL like 2 weeks ago for the first time and I was very surprised by how classy the whole band act. Minimal talking and when he did it was nice, normal, no screaming, and understated. It really is all about the music with him. I really like that about him. Great show btw, the music was amazing and the light show made it like a transcendental experience.
I could just listen to this on a loop with some sound cancelation headphones and lay back and drift off....
Dude sounded just like Nick Johnston with that blues lick SWAGGER LVL 9000
Totally
My favorite song of his yet. I love the slow play!
That was beautiful! I think I need one.
Black is beautiful
These melodies and voicings are AWESOME!! I already know that the next AAL release will be better than Parhesia (if thats even possible)
That's just magic
I’d love to play this guitar daily, hopefully one day I can own one of these
That was super sick! Love those lines
This reminds me of classical music but Tosin’s own spin on it. I need more! Keep shredding bro!!!
That is awesome. Smooth, sleek, and classy with a bit of a sinister edge creeping through with the light fuzz!
This, Abasi-Kaizen-Concept
(whatever it's called, lol) just looks and sounds amazing.
I wanna see/hear you shredding on this with heavy distortion, unless this would be a guitar that wouldn't be primarily utilized for that purpose.
Great music as always dear sir, thank you for all you do and AAL as well!
Beautiful
What a beautiful human, the epitomy of emotion, for sure. ❤️.
Stunning
Tosin is kind of the guitar GOAT. He can do insanely flashy stuff but knows how to dial it back and draw you in with ethereal sonical beauty.
Yea but he's so pretentious
Dude your drooling his hand ring, contain yourself. XD
He’s the best to ever do it
Lovely player. Lovely guitar.
That one last chord.
What a badass. Love this dude's playing.
Amazingly beautiful playing on an equally amazingly beautiful guitar.
WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE TUNERS?! They are the most mind bending things I've ever seen on a guitar and I love it
I remember the first time I heard you play guitar Tobin. I was totally blown away. You've opened up a whole new way to look at guitar, keep up the great work.
Tobin Asasi
@@301pp3 LOL
This made my day
Tobin
tobin asasi
We want Tobin.
So talented!!
Amazing ! ❤
An Abasi x Music Man colab? Oh man, I want to justify needing this!
A God speaking through his medium
Damn that riff is both smooth and spicy.
I love those palm muting technique.
Price is nuts, but I love the vibe here!
Thanks for the inspiring music!❤
Waouuuu😮 ✨️🎶😊🎶✨️
Tosins like,
"alright I did the demo can you let me out of this room now?"
0:39 - 1:03 goosebumps 🔥
Very well...🤔😎🔥❤️😉
awesome! love the patterns. tosin showcases how less can be more when you are this good
Very nice. Greetings Mr Abasi!
oh, I'm actually stil in love... 💕
I liked that blues lick in the middle.
Nice!
Like a sir
I once imagined in my head what a Strat would look like if the rounded edges were angular and it ended up resembling something similar to this
You mean like the 1985 Fender Performer?
*Splendid as always.*
Master
This is musically better and so much more interesting and memorable than AAL's last two records.
Awesome!
Noodle noodle noodle, I want 000 chug chug chug what is this good for
The first part sounded pretty nice and different to what we normally see you produce but that clean section has me scratching my head.
akhirnya music man🫡🫡
A lil bit classical element ✨🎸
La maîtrise 🏆
Hey he finally wrote something that I might theoretically be able to play
The music in this demo is so wonderful. I also love everything about this guitar except the scale length. I dream of owning a 7 string multi-scale guitar with a non-locking tremolo. I love the look and design of this guitar, but it's too short for my taste. If it was 25.5" to 26.5" for the low string, it would be perfection.
😱😍
Damn thats nice!
Those last 25 seconds... Whoa
Sick as sin!
instruments from Wakanda, made out of pure vibranium and king of Wakanda is here. RIP Chad
Sickening
Does anyone have the tabs of the first part? This is so beautiful. I would love to play it.
I think i've just realised my guitar is missing a string.
Yep need an AAL song with that exact tone
BRO CHILLLL
Damn I gotta sell my little brother for one of these sick guitars🔥🔥🔥
Sensei Tosin let's go!
I really hope there’s a Sterling version of this.
Cameraman doing everything right, ducking thx you
Legit
Oh yeah, Blues me Tosin
00:28 heard Muse in that little lick.
oh so it's like a guitar right
Paulo Schroeber era muito seu fã!

🤘🏻👁️🤘🏻. Carpe diem.
sweet bro...
good day to anyone scrolling past this
Inspired
Bruhh.. just djent on that guitar!
My friend Token plays bass.
"Where does he get all these fun toys?"
*Wes Hauch has entered the chat*
WE WANT MORE PENTANTONIC
cool and all, but are these guitars gonna have good quality control???
tosin is the coolest man alive. also that guitar is so sick, is abasi doing double cut outs now?
silly question 🫠 Why do people cover up the Mesa logo on their gear?
Is this meant to be like a twisted version of Mt Pleasant?
What's powering that secret cabinet?
I mean I get why ppl want a longer scale and tbh Id like to see it atleast a 26.5 on the bass side but people play the hell out of the petrucci guitars and as well as many others at 25.5 and it's never really seemed to be that big of a deal. I get people have a preference but to say this guitar is useless due to the scale length is a little much. That being said I still got a pre-order of the spectra flare color just because 🤣 (I regretted it immediately due to the price)
