Best restorations on TH-cam, Sir. You should be very proud of this channel. No ASMR Zippo lighter restoration shite, just real tooling and real practical methods. Bravo.
Thank you much, kind words indeed :) I am indeed very proud i like to have integrity thats why i dont do paid promotions or product placements for video games and products that have absolutely nothing to do with what is being restored i do this for the love and not the money although i wouldn't mind the subscriber count that those zippo restoring guys get it amazes me that millions will watch a zippo restoration but i struggle to get 100k views rebuilding full cars and bikes to better then factory standard? wheres the logic in that? oh well it is what it is. sorry for the rant lol
@@RRCRestoration You're dead right and I thought the same thing when I was typing my comment. Literally millions of subs those guys have and I can only conclude that it because it appeals to the masses. Restoring fake rusted lighters and shitty old knives are jobs that are within reach if the average person. What you do is waaay above their heads, so they just let to go as it doesn't seem achievable to them. Take heart in the fact that those of us that know, know what it takes to do what you do. Also, that's an integrity move in regards to advertising but there's no shame in you milking a few quid from the advertisers as and when something relevant comes along.... Tools, lubricants, chemicals, paint or whatever. We know the work that goes into these videos and it's only fair you earn a few quid from them. Par for the course these days and it wouldn't put me off one bit.
I got to ride one of these back in the day; I seem to remember, if you turned left it went straight, if you turned right it went straight & if you drove straight it turned left...or right! Like this one, most of them lived a life full of thrashing & crashing. Great job on the resto though, I love the beautifully packaged OEM parts from Honda.
Thank you, Glad you enjoyed the project :) The mistake was putting the sprocket in front of the carrier not behind, if you look at later shots before the chain case goes on i have fixed the issue.
I suspect it was rather difficult to obtain original parts for this design. I see that they did stay popular in America for longer & there are even collectors who have several of them. Your restoration is of superb quality & the video production is also impressive in terms of detail. It's very impressive. I still can't spot the "little mistake".
Well worth the wait, and never noticed the mistake! But the fact that you noticed it, it'll get fixed 👍 just be careful in the wood's they things are bloody dangerous 🤦but great fun 👏👏👏
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. I put the sprocket to the wrong side of the carrier it should be behind it not in front, if you look at the shot just before the chain case goes on you will see what i mean. I had a 110 years ago and that was great fun and believe it or not i didn't fall off so hopefully i can keep my clean record going on this one too haha
Only thing I seen was the chain tensioner being done before new chain. She outstanding pal I've said it before the bike wasn't that tidy when it was originally made exceptional work lad . 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much, really glad you are enjoying the results so far. My mistake was that i put the sprocket in front of the carrier on the axle instead of behind it, if you look at the shots before the chain case goes on you will see the gloss black carrier is now in front of the sprocket, silly mistake lol.
So excited when the notification popped up for this. I had to ensure I had an evening free of interruption so that I could enjoy it in peace! So worth the wait! Looking forward to hearing it run.
Nice to see you again. I so glad the long awaited return of the project lived upto your expectations :) Same here its going to be so good to hear that little 90 sitting running.
So satisfying to finally watch you putting it all back together. I can only imaging how it feels for you, having done all the prep work yourself, to finally get you there. As usual, well done and well deserved.
You are the William Wallace of restorations! A "massive" you are welcome from us Patreons. This will be a wonderful machine when completed. Beautiful work once again. Warmest Regards from the USA.

Excellent as always, its tricky finding the right parts for old bikes, im piecing a 1967 c90 back together and its so hard to find the right parts, but perseverance will win the day.
Thank you, Yeah you're spot on there its the silly things like the bars that drive me nuts 90% of stuff out there uses the standard spacing so you order with confidence and then that happens lol... the joys of old Hondas.
Excellent. Back in the 80s Bike Mag used to refer to these three-wheelers as “all-terror-vehicles” largely due to their ability roll on unsuspecting journalists when shown a corner. Take good care.
Like anything else in life, riding one of these machines takes practice. The fact that you cannot steer an atc the way a motorcycle is steered really takes some getting used to.
Another excellent video, many thanks. Good to see the fluffy washers going into the brake spindle boss, they always get left out. I'm suitably impressed by your ability to put the chain tensioner on and tension the chain, before, getting the chain out of its packet! ;-) I won't mention the rear sprocket being on the wrong side of the carrier plate thingy, although I would expect some rubber cushion blocks in there as well. Mind you, I only serviced one of these once before it went to the farm. Never saw it again. Take care. Cheers, Norm.
Always nice to see you, You know me its all about the attention to detail, no fluffy washer left behind not on my watch! haha Aw i know i cant believe that little continuity error slipped past me in the edit and its too late to take the video down and re-edit it now so ill just have to live with my horrible editing blunder :( haha .
