It's been highly coveted by certain AP collectors and I remember getting an email once asking if I'd ever sell mine and I remember it being a few thousand 🫠 I don't know if I'll ever list it since I know I'll never get it back, but it's really weird seeing how much it goes for now lol And here are my guesses! 1. $1000 2. $70 3. $1500 (I got it right!!) 4. $60 (I've seen Bodyline sell for a lot recently, so that influenced my guess lol) 5. $70 (2017 was rough on sweet, but dangg $30. I did get mine back then for $45, so I should have guessed lower lol) 6. $8000 (I'll always remember that auction :'D)
Some extra info/fun facts for anyone interested, but the Kira Kira Doll Set that the person sold for $7,700+ was originally around $150-$160 on Closetchild back in 2016. Both me and her got ours around the same time (probably a month between our purchases). I've only seen four people in the Western community with it (including me) but I'm not sure on the Japanese side. Another dress that sold for an insanely high price was Btssb's Kuragehime collab dress which sold on Yahoo! Auctions for 852,001 yen with over 300 bids.

i find aftermarket prices to be such a funny thing in all hobbies. the one im probably most familiar with is the anime figure 2nd hand market and some of the markups are INSANE. an extreme example is a figure of maka from soul eater since its currently the only decent looking figure of her. its market price was 9000 yen (so like 70usd) it currently resells for an average of 600-700 dollars and was often some people's holy grail figure there is a pop up parade figure of her coming out soon so the market is about to crash lol so a lotta people are selling theirs.
I remember seeing the 1500 Iron Gate back in the late 2010s and being upset that I couldn’t afford it. I *really* was dead set on getting an Iron Gate some day and thought I’d never get it. Then I got the 2021 rerelease as soon as it opened and was so happy >.< now I wanna get a Royal Gate because I love that velvety print texture

I buy fabric at a store by me that sells mill ends... they have so much bodyline fabric that has misprints, or was just unused. It's got bodyline's logo and says in Japanese and English, ether "sample" or production run. I never know what I'll find in the bins.

There are some things to add regarding Iron Gate. 1st Moitie as a brand was struggling when the listing was sold, releasing very little and not featured in GLB any longer. Then the ownership changed and people felt a rapid decline in creativity and quality. That is why Old Moitie was especially coveted around that time, whilst, except for select pieces, the years before that, Moitie sold for quite little. Buuuut the main reason is similar to Puppet Circus: The brand explicitly stated it would never re-release the item. As you stated with AP, the print was fragile, which is why PC wasn’t relaunched, but for Iron Gate it was the simple fact that the file for the print had been deleted and lost. Presumably the newer Iron Gate Release is a retrace, as the newer print is a tad less detailed and chunkier. Imho Divine Cross took the place Iron Gate used to have.

I'm trying the game :D 1 - Iron gate: 1000usd. I recognized that it was Moi même moitie, so i said a big number since this print is popular. 2- Power and thrones: 300 usd. The fabric, print and lace look expensive but it's second hand so i go for the same price that it will be for a new brand dress. 3- Puppet circus: 850usd. i often heard that this print was hard to find second hand and that make the price skyrocket (but i wasn't expecting that high). 4- Squirrel party: 30usd. It look like a bodyline dress and think that the cost will decrease by being second hand. (i'm surprised by how close i was °0°) 5- Whip magic: 900USD. I heard that this cut with the big line at the bottom was rare and this print is old so it become rare, or it was only 100usd because it was sell before becoming too popular. 6- Kira kira doll: 500usd. Just because it's a set and i find this pretty (i didn't expect this to be that high) It's was really fun, i loved the concept and the reactions of the participants !
The only one I really got almost exactly right was Puppet Circus. (I guessed 1550). Guessed 60 for the BodyLine one so I guess not that far off. God, that Kira Kira OP does not seem worth it... This feels like it would be a fun game to play at a meet up tho! Definitely would like more videos like this too :)
I'm going to say that I watching the video and I know how expensive Lolita can be and some of these dresses quite pricey some of them can range from $1,000 too $500 and some of them can be 60 to 70 depending on where you get it I make my own but I still do check the prices every so often for when there might be one that's a good price

I suspect the highest prices were by collectors who plan to hold on to it until they can sell it for even more. But, that approach is always a gamble.

1 - Iron gate: 1000usd. I recognized that it was Moi même moitie, so i said a big number since this print is popular.
2- Power and thrones: 300 usd. The fabric, print and lace look expensive but it's second hand so i go for the same price that it will be for a new brand dress.
3- Puppet circus: 850usd. i often heard that this print was hard to find second hand and that make the price skyrocket (but i wasn't expecting that high).
4- Squirrel party: 30usd. It look like a bodyline dress and think that the cost will decrease by being second hand. (i'm surprised by how close i was °0°)
5- Whip magic: 900USD. I heard that this cut with the big line at the bottom was rare and this print is old so it become rare, or it was only 100usd because it was sell before becoming too popular.
6- Kira kira doll: 500usd. Just because it's a set and i find this pretty (i didn't expect this to be that high)

I'm going to say that I watching the video and I know how expensive Lolita can be and some of these dresses quite pricey some of them can range from $1,000 too $500 and some of them can be 60 to 70 depending on where you get it I make my own but I still do check the prices every so often for when there might be one that's a good price
