Hey great smoker combo grill just bought one this week. Saw the match light, regular briquettes as the starter with lump charcoal with different combinations of wood will have your chicken tasting a hundred times better. You might want to look into seasoning the whole smoker side and gas side with vegetable oil to help coat the insides also help with the flavor.

Just remember when using Citrus type marinates not to over marinate/lettin it sit in the marinate too long, happy grillin!
