Fun fact: the Auster Aiglet G-AJYW, glimpsed next to the Sapphire Meteor and in more detail at 2m58s, is still flying today in New Zealand as ZK-BAQ!
Fun fact : I have about 80 yards of corrugated steel fencing which was originally a hangar from the Auster factory in Rearsby, Leics.
Britain was recovering from WWII, and still led the world in aviation.
Not according to the french, they claim concorde was their creation, and they led europe.
@@jonsimmons4150 Well, Concorde was a little later, and relied on Stanley Hooker's fabulous engine design, and it was a great example of collaboration.
