thatdopegirl my mom watch these when I was a kid and I vaguely remember them today but I just remember the one thing about Todd Manning back then he looked an awful lot like Kurt Cobain. I read on Wikipedia somewhere the Todd Manning's theme song is "Head Like a Hole" by Nine Inch Nails but I don't ever remember hearing it. The Wikipedia would go on to say that the chorus is what he based his life on: "I'd rather die, than give you control." Roger Howarth will always be Todd Manning.

All My Children, One Life To Live, Loving and General Hospital are the soaps mom used to watch before Port Charles and all the newer crap. Alot of people won't remember 1 or 2 of those but they were on ABC and I will never forget them. Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez came from one of those Soaps, I think it was General Hospital.
followfornothing, yes, he's a marvelous character, man. One of the best written characters ever. I got hooked on him as a kid too. He made watching the soap opera a cool thing for a guy to do when it came to him. As for his theme music, the Wikipedia article isn't saying that "Head Like a Hole" is Todd's theme music. omg! my mum used to watch the soaps while she cleaned the house but i hated them until Todd. he was such a heartthrob back then. this is the scene that hooked me for a short time. i remember watching this with my mum i was only 8 years old then in '93. needless to say the cleaning only got done during the commercials during the original Todd saga. I met both Susan & roger by coincidence at the same time in 94. I was a freshman in hs in ny. Susan i only got to say hi to b/c she was dating my history teachers son so she came in to talk about the storyline. Rh i actually had a brief convo w/ & i was so nervous. Our class went to see a play in nyc. While waiting in the lounge i spotted him at a table reading what looked to be a script. I pointed him out to a friend said he was on oltl ( she didn't watch soaps) & she replied yea im not surprised he's really hot. So i walked over chunky 13 year old catholic school girl. I was so smooth lol i asked him for the time! Lol. He looked up ( thud more gorgeous in person) looked that i had a watch on but still told me the time. So i said ok im a fan i love todd my mom & i watch everyday & we love todd. So he was really sweet told me that was great & to keep watching some great stuff was coming up. I didnt want to annoy him so i told him i loved todd & thanked him for talking to me. So i told my big mouthed friend he was there & like 70 teenaged girls ran to the lobby & on my life she screamed todd id let u rape me! I was horrified & he pretty much booked it outta there. So i can attest personally those rape me todd stories in the press from fans to him are 💯 percent true. He also in person looked like he was like 17. Wish id gotten a photo or autograph but my not wanting to bother him turned into a mob unintentionally of my classmates surrounding the poor guy. Im just lucky i got to talk to him in person.
This was so classic! I think RH popularity is what kept him around for years but the “Scar” was not intended to be a Long term story. It started here in the summer/fall of 93. Played out till the end. It was great continuity, as most characters changes to physical attributes are temporary.

Crazy how the writers completely turned the character "Todd" around in the years following this storyline. I wish they had done more with Todd & Tea (Taya)? Florencia Lazano's character...I think they missed a big opportunity for a great redemption storyline.
They tried to redeem him constantly.... and even tried to pair him with Marty (which is why Howarth left the show the first time). Todd was always meant to be what he is in this scene... a monster.

What magic powers does Powell have that he is always able to get into locked doors? Marty couldn't get into the Rodi's door but Powell had no problem. At the Tabernacle, Todd locked the door after Marty went inside yet when Powell came by he had no problem getting in???
In this scene, Powell was standing was standing with the door open. The door can be opened from inside the building but not outside.. which is where Marty is. As for the church, Powell had a key. They showed him using the key to open the door. He was apart of some club thingy which is why he had a key to access the building.
