If you hear that the freshener is not giving enough pressure to spray the canister, perhaps this method might work for you: I had the same problem, tried everything on here but failed. IF possible, put fresh batteries, then get aluminioum foil roll it into a doughnut shape and put it on the base/cradle that holds the canister inside. then put the can in and force the top to close. I think what is happening is the cradle keeps flexing every time the lever activates pushing the canister down which causes the lever to barely touch it. See if that works. Cheers
The metal doughnut worked for me! Another thing I noticed was that this issue occurred with the refill (Glade) that I was using. I'm guessing that the size of the Glade refill may have been too small for the Air Wick dispenser or something of that nature. However the "doughnut booster seat" works. Thanks!
YES!!! This worked for me, it was like magic 🎩 ✨️...lol. I had 3 of them acting same way, but after doing the donut shaped foil, they are all working fine 🙂. Thank you @darkevilpoet
I have a problem - it seems to rotate in one direction and does not return. As a result, it does not press on the can. Tell me what could be the reason?
Good info! I figured something else out as well... if ur plunger isn't going all the way down, put something 'sturdy' under the canister to raise it up slightly!!! Different brand canisters aren't the same height so some will fit perfect and some wont...

I just bought a Airwick freshner, the first day its works fine but the second day the freshner automatically pull up when it's spray and stopped afterwards. Do you have any solution for this?
Ours works but it is so enthusiastic that every time it give a spray the whole thing comes apart and leans over. Any suggestions , apart from the bin!!

our problem is, the motor seems to have not anymore power (even with new batterys) to move the wheels also the red switch doesnt move back, should the wheel not spin back ? it does move, but very very powerless, the motor dont get much power.
I found the problem! The can was too empty, which I used for testing, it needs a can which have enough pressure to push the red lever back. So I wasted my time with complete open the sprayer :P Now I know, its important to have a good filled can and also make sure to push the red lever back.
Try to raise up the can putting a flat object at his base. In this way the lever has no troubles to push the spray. Different brands cans have slightly different heights.
Just bought new airwick freshener, but didnt working ..the plunger go up instead go down , i think maybe bcoz of the wheels prob .. just wasting my time ,, this second time im having same pb… wont buy it anymore😡😡😡

Thanks. The donut suggestion worked!
I used paper instead of foil

Worked for me thanks!
new versions don't have screws. plastic posts are melted to hold mechanism in. they really want you to buy an new one when they break.
I brought 2 new ones after my old one stopped working and one of the new ones doesn't work correctly =D

This fixed my problem with a brand new Airwick. It just needed a little bit of WD40. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Love from Denmark
Glad it helped

im having this issue with mine.. my temporary fix no longer works
@Liz K Try a cutout of a thin non-wavy piece of cardboard placed under the canister 'after' the canister is in place...

Thank you it works! Put more WD-40, change the battery and try to reach the pusher and make it move and done!!

Tried using the WD40...It didn't work! Too much work to unscrew the smaller screws...Going forward, I'll just have to purchase Glade Automatic Spray

Thank you! It worked for my air wick automatic spray
Can you tell us where the gears should be
All its work but not enough pressure to push the sprayer.

This helped
I've tried it all and still no luck. I hear the motor come on...barely, but it doesn't seem to have any power behind it like it hardly moves.
Mine wasn't getting enough pressure. I put a small pack of post it's(the really small ones to push it up works great😂
mine doesnt spray after the 1st 15 seconds initial press

Or u can use some PB Blaster if u don't have any WD-40 or some Vegetable Oil in a spray can. Easy fix.
