Thx for watching. Honestly the TO1000 series scopes are not professional grade tooling in my opinion. They look the part but the performance just isn’t there. I am hopeful software upgrades will improve them. If you are familiar with PicoScope this will seem like a toy. I could have made a dozen videos pointing out deficiency’s but who wants to watch a guy complaining. In watching your channel for just a few moments, it’s obvious to me this product wouldn’t meet your needs or expectations. No sense in pretending differently. Cheers 🍻

You don't need to save more than 1-2 snapshots. Sometimes it turns out to save 6 pictures, but the oscilloscope starts to reboot itself, and deleting pictures becomes a big problem. And this is on the firmware from 2024. This oscilloscope also slows down a lot on the scan in "ms", and in "s" it freezes altogether. If you take an oscilloscope on a scan in "us", and then reduce it to ms or "s", then the frequency readings begin to lie a lot, and the waveform changes from small, unreadable to beautifully readable, only fake.
Place the positive on the battery terminal. Place the negative on the b+ of the starter. Set the scope to 2ms/div and a 0.5v/div. You are using the battery cable as a current clamp. You will need to tune the volt scale. Depending on old school big v8. To new gen reduction starter 4 cyl. Hope this helps.

As a hobbyist it's ok, but I wouldn't consider this a professional grade tool. Too many glitches that persist even after latest update. A scope that won't reliably capture and display a waveform, is of limited value. It's well packaged but poorly executed. I continue to be hopeful the updates will resolve the issues. I thought I was buying a good product, I didn't purchase it in the hopes it will turn into one.

I suspect if the batteries have dropped below a minimum voltage, it will lock out the charge function. You could resort to removing the batteries and charging them externally. Reinstall them and see if operation is restored. ⚠️ Don’t overcharge them. Good luck 🍻

No…But closing in on $800 Canadian for the top range model, should buy you a scope that can capture and accurately review a trace.

Fluke pretty much sets the standard in quality industrial standard tooling. 🍺
We try to make it start, but it only makes 3 beeps.... can you help us? We are also trying to charge it, but for now it doesn't work.

I owned a Firnsi And a Hantek. Menus and look more sophisticated en Firnsi but Hantek is a more reliable Unit.
