He came from nothing, less than nothing. And he’s asking “Where’s my spider?” This holiday, bring you loved ones, to the cinematic event of the year. Madame Web
Thank you! Finally! Someone who doesn't give even the Venom films in this mess of a dollar store MCU undeserved credit. Yes, Hardy is great, but other than him being a phenomenal actor and working with what he's got, the Venom movies are lower-mid tier at best. As for the rest of their Spiderman-less SpiderVerse, its all white hot garbage and needs to be retconned from existence.
I can understand Venom 1 and 2 being somewhat popular to an extent. Compared to Morbius and Madame Web, they're marginally more entertaining and have a bit more personality. I still don't really like them though.
This movie actually makes perfect sense. You just don't like the sense it makes. And that's fine because the movie is boring and all the boring stuff is un interesting. That doesn't mean it doesn't make sense. Aside from the fucked up dubs and choice of line replacement, this movie is pretty solid to get you from point A to point B without confusion the shit out of you. Even my 10 year old guessed half of the movie before it ended.
With all due respect, I listed plenty of reasons why Ezekiel Sims doesn't make sense. The fact that he has no motivation for wanting spider powers, the fact that his plan is extremely reckless and unsubtle for a character who's meant to be intelligent, the fact the movie doesn't properly convey how his premonition was supposed to come true. If there's some logic behind any of it that I've missed, I'm happy to hear your perspective but I do at least have arguments to back up my claim.
The fact that your 10 year old guessed so much of the movie isn't a good thing, my dude. Being predictable doesn't mean the flow of events or motivations are rational.

A movie written by sheltered children with an incompetence in writing that is staggering
