The bulb has a leaves already. Whats the point of removing the leaves just to grow new leaves? What happened to cut leaves, can we plant it?
Old leaves are likely to wilt if not trimmed. So this is a way to get new fresh ones

Hi thanks for sharing but I was wondering does it bloom in d water also or you have to put it in soil after it reaches a certain stage
It will be difficult for them to bloom on water. We should transfer them to soil after 3-4 weeks.
When I purchased mine, it was in a glass jar with rocks on the bottom and filled with water to half the height of the bulb. Not knowing any better, I left it in this environment. It bloomed the first 3 years but now it only grows green leaves at 5 years old. I transferred it into soil today. Hopefully it'll bloom once again.
Once new roots start growing fertilizer is a must, these plants use a lot of energy to produce these large and fragrant flowers.

It's not recommended to do this method to your area then if there's dengue case. Yes we need to change the water at least once a week to keep the nutrients available.

Creo que depende de la variedad de amaryllis y también de la zona donde crecen. En mi región del sudeste asiático, este tipo de amarilis crece bien.
Hola que tal yo le quite las raíces y la parte encima donde salen las hojas nuevas porque estaban con hongos rojos la dividí en 4 partes en ese caso puedo hacer este procedimiento del agua para que empieze a salir raíces nuevas por favor respondame me encantan las amarilis pero no quiero que se infecte de hongo rojo gracias

Amaryllis need soil, they are not meant to be grown in water, no plant is!!!! This can rot your bulbs.

I have an Amaryllis that would not flower. It was in a big pot of soil. The stalks would grow but no flower. Then, the stalks would not grow so I pulled it, cleaned it up and put it in a tall glass with water only in the kitchen window and the stalks are growing! Will they flower in the water or will I need to convert it to soil? Do I need to fertilize at all?
It's better to move it to soil since the plant will get much richer nutrients. After one month you may give fertilizer but in a small amount, means not to much. Thank you for sharing

Hola!he batallado con mis amarilis el año pasado florearon en la primavera y a fin de año las cochinillas y gorgojos se empezaron a comer los bulbos las saque les puse canela y volví a plantar pero este año no florearon y unos bulbos les salieron hojas y de repente se secaron que me recomiendan ?
Recomendamos que seleccione aquellos que aún se ven saludables para plantar y descarte aquellos que no son saludables. Puede haber una enfermedad en su planta.
Me paso igual yo lo que hice fue cortar todo lo afectado por las plagas dejar que se seque todas las heridas luego darle nutrientes en el agua y recien plantarlas lamentablemente el sustrato hay que cambiarlo aveces ahi están las plagas

Cadê os nutrientes? Cadê a oxigenação das raízes? Os bulbos consumirão os nutrientes e as plantas crescerão cada vez mais frágeis e fracas. Não gostei muito, porém é interessante para saber como se comporta na água.
Podemos usar fertilizante líquido para os nutrientes. Trocar a água pelo menos uma vez por semana é suficiente para a necessidade de oxigênio. De qualquer forma, é melhor cultivar amarílis no solo do que na água.

Apa umbi nya tidak di dorman dahulu? Itu masih ada daunnya masih hijau, setau saya tunggu daun nya menguning sendiri terkena sinar matahari sampai kering, karena dari daun yang terkena sinar matahari langsung akan menyerap nutrisi ke umbi buat bakal bunga kedepannya, dan umbinya tidak mengecil, dan bisa berbunga setiap tahunnya

@@EasyGardening berarti ada perbedaan buat cara perawatan nya ya min, saya tinggal di Frankfurt Jerman, ketika saya beli umbi bunga amarilys di garden centre di Jerman itu umbi bunganya berukuran XXL , bisa dikatakan sebesar bawang bombai jumbo, dan di negara 4 musim seperti di Jerman itu setiap kali kita membeli bibit tanaman berbentuk umbi seperti amarilys selalu keluar bunganya dahulu baru daunnya setelah masa berbunga habis, sedangkan dari yang saya lihat di video yg anda upload,keluar daun nya dulu lalu diikuti bunganya, dan saya sudah menanam amarilys sejak 4 tahun lalu dan pengalaman saya kalau umbi nya mengecil tidak seperti awal beli yang ukuran nya XXL dia gak mau berbunga, tunggu umbi nya membesar seperti awal beli baru bisa berbunga lagi, makanya saya agak bingung kalau ternyata di Indonesia bisa di bungakan tanpa mengenal waktu Dorman (Hibernasi untuk tanaman) mungkin karena perbedaan suhu dan iklim jadi perawatannya berbeda ya min
