When an American say Jokić is boring, it means Jokić is not arrogant and ignorant. That says a lot about American twisted culture and values, It is about family first and team first, be humble, respect others, take care of each other. You lost that , most of us did, and I hope people like Jokić will help to bring it back. Human race really need this more than ever.
No its because hes boring . Hes not a Vince Carter , Kobe Bryant , Michael Jordan , he doesnt do trick dunks , and put people on posters , hes boring get over it dude .he cant jump . Its boring !
@@brandoblack7318 Stfu... that right there! You just proved his point. Its because he's not flashy like everyone else. And what does being flashy comes with, DRAMA AND ATTENTION, and what erks yall is he doesnt like the attention and he stays to himself, which apparently some of yall in this society cant do🤡🤡
@@brandoblack7318 it’s boring cuz yall don’t know ball so the only thing y’all understand is pretty colors and arrogance 🤧
All the talk about him being boring just brings back memories of what people said about Tim Duncan and The Spurs. If Jokic and The Nuggets could accomplish half as much as The Spurs, people will have every right to call them a dynasty.
you’re making a straw man but to entertain it, if his game is “boring” it’s because he’s 7,1 with no “normal” nba athleticism or flash.
Lol the cut from Jokić saying they didn't believe in the fat boy to Windhorst is hilarious 😂
“Words to live by”💀
Joker is 6'11" why are the lies that he is 7'1".
I bursted out laughingggg when I seen windy hahahahaha
"My time is now"
I’m not sure if ESPN is doing this on purpose. They had a segment with Stephen A saying big of lard with Windy on the show and now this! 😂
Jokic is a generational talent like Shaq, we might never see another player like him
if he is 'generational' then we might see another one in the next generation of players.
@@kukublof5057 what was the point of quoting him if he said "might" in his statement as well lol
@@iKrawwd this was dinner, we might not have dinner again
Jokic definitely levels above Shaq. Shaq can only dunk and no other skills😂
He’s different because he’s not the most athletic, not the fastest, he can’t jump a foot off the ground, but he can’t be stopped.
There was a stretch in the Phoenix series that Joker was going shot for shot with Booker!! Unreal to see a center do that with the likes of Booker!!
a center who can control the ball as good as a point guard, what an amazing player he is.
He's an actual unicorn, a once in generation basketball wizard so no, he can't be a prototype but he might push teams to look for centers who can actually be playmakers.
He should be the model for young hoopers these days. Particularly guys who don't jump as high or run as fast as their peers. Kill 'em with your mind. Besides, this style is way more sustainable because it doesn't wear down your knees and ankles as much as the high flying, acrobatic style of play.
A NEW DYNASTY has emerged in the DENVER NUGGETS. NIKOLA JOKIC has changed the BIG MAN'S GAME as a SUPERB FASCILITATOR/ASSIST MAN, an ACCURATE PERIMETER SHOOTER, makes his TEAMMATES play better, and has an INCREDIBLE ALL AROUND GAME with HIGH BASKETBALL IQ. At 28, he just hit his PRIME, and his BEST BALL is still to come. DENVER'S CORE TEAM is Talented, Skilled, Athletic, Big, Young, Solid, and will still get better. They have a reliable 2nd UNIT/BENCH, is an EXCEPTIONAL DEFENSIVE TEAM, and have an EXCELLENT COACH in MICHAEL MALONE. They are capable of being a DOMINANT TEAM and will repeat as NBA CHAMPIONS in SEASON 2023-2024 🏆🏆
I’d repeated with joe bahama mama last night now sit down son
Why are you screaming
Amen!
Unfortunately humility and class is not often a prototypical trait in an NBA superstar.
look at Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard my guy
Kawhi load manages game and sits. Td I'm in total agreement with he was great
@@Jake-oo5gy Kawhi is severely autistic
Exactly, Jokic will remain a unicorn. Most guys at the sight of millions and millions of dollars already lose sight of reality. He doesn't even care about personal accolades, every guy still working towards the next contract. NBA just a job for him to pay for his passion for horses. Most guys want the pay to buy more bling.
Let's be real though. Inflated ego and lack of humility is a common trait in most all professional sports to some greater or lesser extent. I will admit that Jokers approach is refreshing. He is not the only humble good guy in the league but he is currently the finals MVP so he has the brightest shine. It's nice that the young, foreign born, pudgy, unathletic guy rose to be the best of this league and probably the world. Inspiring even.
I hope so. He's a totally unselfish player, and the NBA would be far better if other superstars followed suit.
I want this so bad as well. But there will always be players who play hero ball
I concord for sure, the game becomes much easier to watch and play when players on the court are unselfish
@@jarodellis3561 and more beautiful 🤘
If more of the best players are European it will be more common
Nah, I like the variety just the way it is.
There will never be ten players like Jokic, his skill set is too unique and complete
Love the idea of NFL quarterback concept. Watching Joker as Qtrback on the court is so much fun. His bluffing, no eye contact, involving his teammate all that is just great.
I Qb joe bahama mama last night
I hope this is the start of the ego-less superstar era with more team play. Selfish stars with massive and sometimes undeserved egos like LeBrick, James Soften, WestBrick, Pandemic P, and especially Joel EmPlead just grind my gears.
For me personally, I like team basketball more than hero ball. So yeah, Jokic is the new prototype for me.
I agree. Jokic has revolutionized basketball playing point center.
The benefit of a center that can read a defence like Jokic is it helps other players be better by giving them easier looks.
That will be what other nba teams try to copy, as what it does is allow cheaper roles players to perform at levels they would usually pay millions more for. With the new cba a "cost productive offence" is going to show up as style to be
I was coat productive with joe bahama mama last might
There are point guards who does not have the basketball IQ and vision that Jokic has. You dont just teach this at camp. It's a particular set of circumstance that enabled him to develop as such. For example, if can run faster and jump higher, he probably wouldnt have developed his passing coz he can just blow by and out jump people. Just as Dirk's skill was special for his size and position, we will never see another Jokic, or at least exactly like him. They just dont grow on trees
same with magic johnson
The problem I have with these conversations is that the people having these conversations know good and well it is more the system that helps determine outcome in most of these situations. Jokic was in a system that decided to allow him handle the ball , and play point center and run a ton of offensive sets all around him and all the other players adjusted. No other coach in league history has designed an offense where The Center was allowed to handle the ball more and have more freedom of movement than the one Denver designed for Jokic. I just wish an honest conversation could be had where we give the head coach his credit which is one of the main reasons the systems worked. Secondly, acknowledge this is something different and not ask why other centers are not doing it when they in different systems and the coaches, GM, and Owners are not in favor of using this system which is why the other centers don't do it because the Coach of there respective team would have benched them. This is similar to when people say things like if Reggie miller or Ray allen could have hit more 3's he would have just came down and started jacking up 3's. The reality is if Reggie would have pulled that the coach would have called time out and put a stop to it. Let's just enjoy as basketball fans this new system which worked to perfection and Jokic Amazing ability as a Center to execute and win a NBA title, and call it something new rather than compare him to other centers when none of them play this system in the entire NBA right now, so there is no way of really comparing what's going on in Denver. Jokic is unique and a Future Hall of fame Player, along with his Coach Malone (future hall of fame coach)for putting this entire system together and getting buy in from the other players and the GM for supporting the system and getting the right players to make this work. It's a beautiful thing to see for fans of Basketball.
Didn't we see the beginnings of this with Magic, a 6'9" point guard? With the exception that Magic could bring the ball up under full-court pressure, call plays, run the offense, facilitate on the fast break.. And if I remember correctly, Cedric"Cornbred" Maxell used to do the same for his college team at 6'8"
The game of basketball is not a position less sport. Let’s appreciate the fact JOKIC is a generational talent at the CENTER POSITION!
The point is he can and does play anywhere on the court and still dominates
He’s a center but he was even bringing up the ball in that last game and facilitating the offense. He has wing versatility and guard playmaking. He’s one of the position less guys who doesn’t fit the mold outside of his height.
@@zivkovicable it doesn’t change the fact he’s a center! He played more in the paint and at time he can step out and hit the 3.
@@letmegetuhhh3959 he’s still a center and not everyone can do what he does! Just Like Magic, Bird, and MJ they were all generational talent and players!
Its such a unique skillset that it might be hard to replicate for other teams. If anything theyll look at centers with size and defense that can guard/foul him. Closest thing to him in the league is sabonis atm. Finding or developing a center with his shooting, stamina and playmaking will be very difficult.
Closest is Sengun actually, sabonis just throws easy post passes like his Daddy did and lacks the size, still a nice player obviously.
@@ZoinksScoob-lu9koyep good eye. Sengun will never be AS GOOD, but hes the closest
@@ZoinksScoob-lu9ko Tbh Sengun ceiling is Sabonis rather than Jokic. Sabonis also have a glimpse of Jokic in the regular season where his passes are crazy but in the playoffs is what separate Jokic from anybody else.
Its really great to see generational players rise in this lifetime - michael jordan, shaq, steph curry and now nikola jokic.. what a period..
Oh, you forgot one little thing...those future centers must have extremely high IQ😮
They didn’t believe in the fat boy quote then Windhorst popping up on the screen right after got me absolutely dying 😂🤣😭
Great take Greeny, superb prediction of a new era.!!😊💚🙌
7ft Centers like Jokic , Embiid etc have always been important since the beginning of basketball lol.
and the league has to changed the rules to limit bigman domination
Nikola Jokić is something that has not yet been seen in the NBA, a totally different dimension of the game, something never seen before.
Jokic is already the No.1 center of all time😊
he is the first player in NBA playoff history with 1st in points, rebounds, and assists.
There is no consensus "Greatest" Center ever. That said Jokic is in the conversation
If your leader is someone like Jokic, you have no choice other than being an unselfish team player. Nobody can have ego in Denver team.
I don’t think there will be another player like Jokić, simply because his talent to always do the right thing on the court is I think unparalleled. And he does it without having the ball in his hands which is what I think makes him and his triple-double’s different than guard triple-double’s. He most of the time looks like he doesn’t want to make a triple double, but because Jokic is always looking for the right play, the stat comes to him naturally. Never forces anything, and to play like that and still be so impactful is something I think nobody will ever copy. Plus a lot of stuff for him has fallen in right place. Big guy, strong enough to make for himself position to shoot, with an elite touch and has superb game sense? That’s why he is changing the game.
Best champion ever!! Genuine, father, lifts his team up, doesn’t party, funny, not arrogant, unstoppable……best player of this decade
💯👏👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🏀🏀🏀
Nothing wrong with partying once in a blue moon, y'all just meat riding heavy at this point 😂
Cj you a clown.
The league will get to a point where “guard skills” will become the bare minimum requirement to being an NBA player regardless of height. I’m excited to see what the future has in store for this product
He is special...something america never saw...he is Nikola Jokić
Sabonis (daddy) played like this. But the style back then prevented him from going all out and using it.
Injuries were a bigger problem for Sabonis than the style of play if we're talking about what held him back in his era.
@@FuShengAlex the soviet head coach overused him
Centers are now the dominate force again. If you look at the top 10 players currently in the league many of them are centers from Jokic, Giannis, AD, Embiid, Ayton. So maybe centers will become the superstar position.
giannis and ad are pfs
Did this mfer just say ayton and top 10 in the same phrase 😳😳
EK TRAN: True, they do take over Center occasionally though. Giannis usually when Brook isn’t in especially on defense & Anthony Davis when they go small. So it’s kind of Tim Duncan-esque
@@ektran4205 I guess it would have been more correct of me to say the "big guys" are dominating the league, PF and Center's.
Bucks and Nuggets proved. Success comes from good draft, trust to their coach and core for long time.
bucks didn't do good at drafting and developing, replace them with warriors
I will be attending the NEVER NUGGETS PARADE. OUR CHAMPIONS. I AM SO ANXIOUS TO SEE THEM💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Serbian legend ❤
i love windhorst reaction lol
I'm a Sixers fan so Embiid all day, but it should be mandatory that bball fans appreciate his game. It's singular, genuinely distinct. He ain't Diesel - but he is something to genuinely marvel at.
Bravo Niki
He doesn’t love basketball it’s just work. And I respect that.
Dirk says hi btw. He really changed the game
They took a shot @ Skip with the Jalen reference 😂😂
🎉🎉 congrats nuggets
Skilled bigs (pretty much anyone 6’8 and up) who can do almost everything are usually the best players in the league. Look at the past few MVPs.
the big man passing and controlling the offense through the pick and roll have been a trend that is for sure keep on doing look heat running through bam(through let him run on the high post ), jokic with the nuggets, sabonis with the kings, draymond with gs.
the difference between jokic and the other passing bigs is that those bigs have situational passing skills or can run one slice of the offense, but Jokic is a true QB1, he can run the offense from anywhere on the floor and he is vocally directing the offense even off the ball. he's in complete control like CP3 or Stockton.
@@CC-oi9mc Yee I mean other offenses are doing it jokic is just the one who does it the best
Snap out of it, folks! The guy has signed off to his horses already as early last night.
Jokic will win Dunk contest and 3 point contest same night
Even in Taco Bell commercial was picture of unicorn, which he represent right now
Y'all can be in your feelings all you want, he's a great player of course but you cap af if you say he's not boring to watch
Two goatest of the GOATS:
M. Jordan
&
N. „Jobdone“
As Nike puts it: Just do it.
Done.
No Joke.
stop acting like jokic invented an unstoppable signature shot like kareem, he however does make everyone around him better with his passing unlike many centers that needed others to pass them the ball in the post
How can he be the new prototypical superstar his dominance truly come from his size advantage….. not many ppl you gone find his size and skill set. He is just a Generational talent!
Now most of the team will find versatile center can do passing 3s rebound defense high Iq playing good offensive caliber player
Jokic is the best player for me by the way im from Philippines alot of pilipino know jokic end muray
Windy’s blinks per minute is insane I need his stimulant prescription
Dude is so fun refreshing doesn't need atheism to dominate no weakness in offense every underrated deffender

Q: Is Nikola Jokic the new prototypical superstar? A: Yes.
He's basically a unicorn. You still have to be smart on top of big and skilled. Then you add another layer in psychology, to always stay grounded. It ain't that easy for another Jokic to come around.
My Top 15:
1. Michael Jordan
2. LeBron James
3. Shaquille O' Neal
4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
5. Hakeem Olajuwon
6. Larry Bird
7. Stephen Curry
8. Tim Duncan
9-T. Kobe Bryant
9-T. Nikola Jokic
10-T. Magic Johnson
10-T. Giannis Antetokounmpo
11. Bill Russell
12. Wilt Chamberlain
13. Kevin Durant
14. David Robinson
15. Bill Walton
Idk if its about the "7 foot point gaurd" or is it just about passing the ball more. that going back to being the dominant skill. Maybe playmakers out of the power forward and center position
Joker is the best post player in the legue. Thats what opens up his passing.
Jokic plays The Sports of Kings, horses! That's why he's king!
The thing about Jokic is, he can bang with the big boys in the post. Whenever he got matched up with a smaller player he took them to the rim like any smart big man would. He did more post play than Embiid this year! So, as a big you still need those skills. But then Jokic has the skills even the great big men rarely had. The ability to run the offense and make touchdown passes. And then, he can SHOOT from anywhere on the court. He is a whole LOTTA skills in one 7ft body
This doesn't get talked about enough. He is a big boy, you can't even compare AD to Jokic b/c the girth difference was very noticeable.
@@faywhite7886 jokic even bodies Giannis easily...
... I feel like the conversation around Embiid during the playoffs was that he wasn't getting touches in the post enough. Now post skills aren't necessary?
Also, the whole "passing over iso" conversations been going on since the Warriors started their run, probably during the Spurs run, too. Pretty sure the Nuggets winning isn't going to change much of anything
I think Pop understands that he has a Jokic in Wemby. Look for Denver Nuggets, Version 2, in San Antonio in years to come. Actually, Version 3, as Sacramento is probably Version 2 with Sabonis.
What does Jokić need to do to make Skip Bayless like him? Sick his duck? Wear an Ernestine mask? Rap like Lil Wayne and Nelly? Turn Black and be named Joel Embiid?
Yugoslavia and Serbia played positionless basketball since late 70s and bigs were coordinated! Even Divac was forced to play center alth😂he was excellent passer and intelligent player at7ft2 ! But nobody knew that Jokic was Joker, not even in Serbia, because he's so low key personality, but watching him play, is reminiscent of our street game!
No matter how hard you try or train, passing skills comes down to IQ. It comes down to if you have it or not. It’s not really something you can really train. Good luck finding other jokic like players.
It takes a ring to prove that some of these analyst are just clowns
You will see even better Nikola Jokic, he is only 28 years old. This guy can hoop till he is 36 , guaranteed!
Hopefully
Upcoming centers like Jokic? How about the young Turkish center in Houston?
I think Americans saying Jokic is boring really brings to light the current status of American basketball, no fundamentals all highlights just selfish plays. Unlike European basketball the fundamentals and importance of teamwork is ingrained at an early age.
Yes, big men will be expected to be better with the ball now that we've seen Jokic. But you can't just clone Jokic's situational awareness, and his passing precision is also a big ask. Jokic doesn't always succeed, but he almost always makes the right decision. It's as if he was playing the game in slow-motion.
Best center I've seen since Shaq
Chet’s gonna be in that conversation soon
LOL "look how far we fell off" *after AD into KAT
It is the next level they started with big men and now history is repeating itself with a twist

they really can't help but bring up emiid even when it doesn't add anything to the conversation.
After Giannis won a championship, it was more about Giannis won only because Kyrie was injured and "KD stepped on the line". Even today they are still hating on Giannis. Kendrick Perkins even said Giannis would have to make it to the Eastern Conference finals the following yr to prove that the 2021 championship was not a fake. So Giannis won only because of injuries? Wasn't Giannis injured and played injured? Most of them never gave Giannis the BEST PLAYER title. It was always someone else for them! But now Joker is undeniably the BEST PLAYER in the league. Hey, that's life.
You are mentioning a niche group that are not the majority. Just like ppl that are saying Jokic had the easiest playoff run in history.
Giannis' game is a lot more 1 dimensional than Embiid or Jokic. He is not a great shooter, not great from the 3pt line, not a great FT shooter. He is a throwback to older players like Shaq. But his game is extremely athleticism dependent
@@vikramkrishnan6414 so what are you trying to say?.
There are pple saying jokic got an easy ring and giannis was mentioned as the best player in the league a lot and rightfully so but you cant ignore jokic's playoff performance, right now he is the best and dont worry, we jokic fans hate perkins too

Now according to them Jokic is undeniably the best player. Very interesting
Jokic isnt just Point Guard Center, but His IQ determine that he is one of kind, there wont be any Jokic next 20 Years
I doubt it- no one else passes like he does, this may not happen again.
You know how bad they wanted to ask Windy about the fat boy comment lol
He´s what Porzings was supposed to be...but Porzings decided to play like a 7-foot Klay Thompson, while Jokic does everything, shooting, scoring in the paint, passing, defending, rebinding, he´s the real Unicorn, there´s no one like him.
Thats the way we play in serbia, no positions just a game of basketball
Windy clearly offended by the 'fatboy' remarks.
I would take Jokic mentality over Mamba mentality any day.
I hope so I rather hear about this guy than an old man that’s time is up. Is he the GOAT now.
So ESPN finally got the memo from NBA … “stop denigrating Jokic and begin treating him like the exciting star that he is”. Better late than never.
The NBA is easy money if you're 6'6" or taller, even if you can't shoot
