I think the Malevolence is responsible for what happened to the protagonist in this ending. It may be making its one last shot at destroying the world.
Crusader takes place years before Immortals. Going chronologically, we have: 1 - 2/2 Redux - Crusaders - 3 - 5 - Immortals. Progression from 1 to 2 is logical - Nameless/Antares beat HeChaos, and Antares took control over Arena. But the other need a little explaining. We know that events of 5 must take place after 3 and Crusaders, as the events of both games are referenced by various characters in the game. But what came first: 3 or Crusaders, is a little bit convoluted, because during Crusaders, Antares was sealed in a grail, broken in 5 pieces, then hidden in the dungeons across Brandor. Yet "Fallen" Antares appears in SaS 3, who "has to be stopped". Although it is possible that Antares('s spirit) was temporarily freeded due to sheer amount of power and bloodlust on Doomtrek. But, the main reason that Crusaders have to be before 3, is Bargle. At the end of 3, Bargle and soon-to-be Starbound Gladiator, were taken by Automators on their planet to represent Tritonia. While Bargle is said to transceive time and space... if he could, he would be in 5, but isn't. So, apparently, he couldn't just fast-travel from whatever planet they landed at, to Tritonia, and since he appears in Crusaders, 3 has to be a later event. Then, since Immortals take place after both 3 and 5, it is the latest game in the series

Not all of them. I remember watching one of Oliver's video, where he said that the old art of the Doomtrek Colusseum was AI generated, but the new one is not. But i do not know. You might be right. I still like the art of the game, however I share the view that some of the artworks could be more creative.

This walkthrough of the game was before the dungeon update, so in this ending the protagonist does not meet Baargle, nor Antares. Overall, if you want to see this ending, you have to complete the game with evil alignment, and without completing the dungeons.
Hundreds upon hundreds, the Protagonist really is the protagonist did the survival thing in game and overrun died and got revived.

Yeah crusaders is confirmed to take place before 3 the emperor antares thing is a plothole
Also on the tome of Lore website it retcons it by saying that Fallen emperor Antares is just a clone Made by bhargle and the automotons

Ai backgrounds for mobile games aren't that bad, it would be a problem if ai is overused and used in almost everything
How did you get that evil ending scene? i completed the game as pure evil alingment but got a different ending.
