Not to mention Guild Trees, Node Trees and perhaps even Religion Trees and trees for other associations. With ALL the trees no one is going to know what to expect from anyone even if you know their class. Intrepid are amazingly brilliant, a game made by gamers for gamers... I think they will surpass most people's expectations. ((#Copium4blood))
Yes, the calls for nerf ranger might be around 12 months too early yet may turn into buff ranger once some of the other classes are revealed. Love the depth and potential diversity builds will have with different classes then throw in gear diversity and all I can see are fun times exploring different builds.
Devs are notorious for not knowing or understanding much about their combat. Steven is honestly one of them but it seems like he's surrounded himself with some people who are making a good combat system with proper thought and understanding behind it. Looking forward to alpha 2 so I can get a feel for the gameplay and systems behind the combat. I hope I gain a lot of respect for an executed vision for each class that works. Balance be damned I don't even care just gimme good feeling combat.
honestly changing the icons to match the theme of your class build would make it more immersive, especially if you are in the habit of switching between same class alts but play them differently depending on your build spec
I am kickstarter backer for AOC. I am glad to see the attention Intrepid is putting classes; however, rangers seem to be getting a lot and I mean a lot. Buff, debuff, snare, kitting, dispel, etc.
Having different playstyles is my biggest concern for AoC healing. I have every WoW healer at max level and do a little M+ or raid with all of them, so you could say i enjoy variety at times. 😂
Keeping the "Time to kill" should be fast for all class's and no one will feel underpowered and making ranged have to aim balances combat against melee's.
My biggest worry is how they gave Ranger 10x times more cool factor than they gave the Tank. Prepare yourself for a yet another 90% DPS player population MMO. (Hope not)
Another great video! the level of customization for your character has me excited, no two rangers will be exactly the same. I love the animation at the start, very funny!
Honestly I got to say, just like what other commenters have said, I am surprised that you don't have higher views and subs for the quality of the content you create! Having followed the AoC production process for years now, it's great to have stumbled upon your channel and the level of intricate analysis you offer to the community on what we know so far. I am also a huge fan of your Bespoke series, as not only is its name a wonderful reference to Intrepid and the word choice they use in their production update videos, but also because it has helped to introduce me to other creators within the community. Reminds me in a lot of ways to how Space Tomato does his Citizen Live podcasts with different content creators within the Star Citizen community, and I love you both for it. Keep up the great content, you definitely got a subscriber count out of me, and I look forward to seeing more of your videos and to watch as your following grows and grows over the coming months 🎉 P.S. Love seeing someone else using an Elgato mic in their videos, definitely reassuring seeing someone who puts out great professional content using the same hardware for content creation as I do 😂
I REALLY HOPE THEY KEEP ALL CLASS'S ON THE OP SIDE VS UNDERPOWERED BALANCE MANAGEMENT. Instead of nerfing a class that maybe OP i think its better to buff other class's weakness's a game that gets nerfed feels bad and becomes bland. I hope they keep a grand scope, i want big wild magic and summoning LOTS of minions, directional melee attacks, aimed ranged attacks, no auto aim/lock. that kinda thing.
About the tooltips: I can never understand why some games use variable values (the value in the tooltip is adjusted as the influences on that variable change), others use static only and then you've got games like NW that just put vague descriptions in. I remember reading somewhere that they do this specifically to prevent Elitest Jerks-type meta crafting, but if you have to reach down that low to prevent meta crafting in your game, you've obviously not designed your game well enough. (nudge-nudge @NewWorld) So I guess it's just incompetence or laziness.
Actually tooltips not giving full stat info is made to not put too much info in front of newer/more casual players and encourage them to just try using the skill and see the result. It actually makes a lot of sense when it comes to the average user experience. The ideal solution would be to let players toggle between a basic or precise info display for tooltips.
@@TheCopiumClinic If too restrictive or time consuming, players will skip experimenting for themselves and just to to a youtube guide which leads to the meta problem you discuss in another video. Great Content BTW, earned a sub.
I feel like there was some product placement in this video. Good thing I'm immune to such cheap tactics. Anyway, gonna go watch a few Bespoke episodes. Bye!

i beg to disagree, albion online "class" design is better than this and more flexible. its look clustered at first glance but its actually simple. the only problem i could think is theres some skill that have similiar icon (like guardian armor and hellion armor)
They’re using unreal engine 5 now when they originally started off with UE4. I think the game looks best with sunlight. With UE5 they’ll be able to upgrade the graphics on the fly.
@@TheCopiumClinic I understand, i'm just saying its looking good right now. Especially after 7-8 years, I expected more too be honest. I saw some streamers play it some months ago, looked like a indiegame with a small studio made it with lack of funding
I quit playing mmos because their classes are lame in 99% cases. Have a goddam creativity, creators, add some punch, some umph to your lame ass stick swingers and projectile shooters. I want MY character to be awesome. Am I alone in this? Good videos btw. Oh and color suggestion is on point. The game must have memorable distinct styles for classes.
Weapon skill trees and mastery have me excited. There will be room for many playstyles/unique builds that make your character feel unique.

I agree with your point on making the skills change color according to your secondary archetype. Would be very easy for a good Photoshoper to do that.

It hurt but by the looks of how far along the game is and Alpha2 is in Q3 is pretty nice to see. Means they aren't rushing whatsoever!
